Chapter 894: Continued Search For Demon Qi
Kana headed towards the center of the continent. She used tears in space to quickly reach the center, but she felt like something was off. "There is no one powerful here beyond the old man I talked to before…. Did he mean this continent or another one called central?"
Pursing her lips, Kana made her way into the city below her. But as she did, five people flew in front of her blocking her way. "No flying over the city. Only those of the lord rank or above are allowed to fly here unless it is the city lord's family."
"I don't need to enter your city if you can ask me a simple question." Kana did not mind being stopped since it saved her some time. She did not need to enter the city after all.
"A question?" The man in front of her asked.
"Yes, just a simple question. I need to know which way to the central continent. If you can point me in the right direction, I will be on my way." Kana replied.
"In that case. Head north that way." The man said, pointing past the city. "Since you do not need to enter the city, I can escort you across it…."
"No need, I just needed the direction. I won't be flying over anything." Kana said as she tore a hole in space and disappeared, only leaving behind her voice saying: "Thanks."
The man who had been talking to Kana this entire time froze where he stood. He felt a strong fluctuation of power from Kana as she tore the space in front of her. He couldn't help but mumble: "A hidden master… It was good we did not anger her, or this city might have been doomed. But I wonder what she wanted on the central continent. The place is now a war zone due to the Tao and Xuan families fighting."
"Is it too late to tell her?" One of the other men asked.
"She tore through space. How are we going to catch up to her!? Sadly there are many powerful people on the central continent, but the worst of all is the two ancient clans. If you do not side with one of them, they will attack you and kill you. I guess we can only hope she will be fine." The man who had spoken to Kana replied.
The whole group turned and looked towards the north and sighed. They hoped a beauty like that girl would not suffer. In the end, their pity came due to Kana's beauty,
Kana made about fifty transfers across the ocean before she finally arrived at what she assumed was the central continent. She floated down towards a dock that resided in a seaside city and was once again stopped by a few men who were guarding the ports. "Who are you!?"
"Someone who is looking for something. Maybe you can help. I came looking for evil qi. Do you know where I can find some?" Kana asked.
"Evil qi? I am not sure. Who are you aligned with?" This new guard asked.
"Aligned with? I do not align with anyone. I do not have time for such trivial things." Kana replied honestly. Causing the three men in front of her to stare at her in surprise. They never thought they would meet someone who would call the war on the central continent a trivial thing.
The man had no idea if he could let this girl into the city or not. He was just about to say something when Kana spoke up, cutting him off. "Where can I find the most powerful person on the continent?"
"Ummm… it's a tie between the Tao family ancient and the Xuan family ancient, but neither of them has fought each other yet." The man subconsciously replied.
"Then who is the oldest?" Kana asked.
"They are both the same age." The man replied, scratching his nose. He could see the aggravation in the girl in front of him growing.
"Then which of the two is this city backing?" Kana asked, feeling very much annoyed.
"The Tao family!" The man replied. He felt a sudden pressure weigh down on him as the girl asked that last question.
"You are not very bright. If I am asking about the strongest person, then why are you not telling me where he resides if you know I will be asking this question next? Are you not all there?" Kana did not wish to keep wasting time here. She still had her family to take care of.
"This…" The man was unsure if he should speak, but before he knew it, a great pressure began weighing down on him. His eyes grew wide as he stared at the girl in front of him.
"I am in a hurry. Either tell me, or I will extract it from you myself!" Kana did not wish to waste any more time. She had already left her family for too long in a new place. She wanted to go back and start cultivating again so she could leave this plane of existence and move on to the next, but the people here seemed stupid. Kana eyed the man as she asked: "So which is it!?"
"The Tao clan live in the Ethereal Mountain Range. You can find him there." The man replied. The pressure weighing down on him was starting to make him buckle under the weight. He never imagined a small immortal cultivator could suppress him so easily. The only way this was possible was that this person was suppressing their cultivation on purpose!
"And where is that!? Telling me the name and not pointing the way is the same as asking me to kill you. Now, which way is it!?" Kana yelled.
"East! To the East! The west is owned by the Xuan family! If you stop in the cities along the way they can give you better directions. I only know it is located in the east of the continent."
