Chapter 674 - Making Soft Metal Armor Part 1
Kana felt like she had just woken up from a very realistic dream or what she thought was a dream. As her eyes fluttered, she found herself in the same dimly lit room as before, but the forge that was behind her had disappeared. "What? Where did it… Tss…" Kana felt a burning sensation coming from her right paw. She looked down, and the same runic marking that she saw in her dream was glowing slightly on her paw. "So it wasn't a dream?"
Kana took her attention off the mark and looked herself over. Her wounds had indeed healed. She still has some internal injuries, but they should heal after a few more days of rest. She had no idea how many days she had been sleeping. Her stomach rumbled, but she had no food, which made her frown. She wished she had something she could eat.
With this thought in mind, she began searching the room she was in. The shelves had many jade slips on them. She took one off and placed it on her forehead. Soon information on forging interred her mind. "Soft metal forging technique!?" Kana's eyes lit up. There were many ores in this room. If she could forge something to wear that was easy to move around in and also offered good protection… Her mind began swirling. But the only downside would be she would need to be naked whiling forging it since she had nothing to wear.
Kana looked at the entrance to the room and wondered if there was a way to block it to keep people from coming in. She looked around the room to see a large metal plate off to the side. She walked over to it and looked it up and down and saw that it was about the same size as the entrance. If she could fit it into place, it would be enough to at least give her time to quickly transform into her dragon form if that man in black suddenly appeared.
Kana did not want any other man to see her body beside her handsome husband. If one did, she would kill them on the spot. "Yes, this will work."
Kana dragged the metal plate to the entrance and fixed it in place. She then used her dragon breath to melt the plate and the rocks around it to seal the entrance. Kana dusted her paws off and smiled at her handy work. "This should do."
With that settled, Kana transformed into her human form and walked around the room once more, looking for anything that could be used as food. As her eyes scanned the room, they fell on a small chest next to a stone bed. She walked over and opened it up. When she did, her eyes lit up. While the chest looked small, the space inside was huge, and from the looks of it, it seemed as if time was stopped for the items inside. "Meat!"
Kana did not hesitate to reach in and pull out a large demonic beast leg and take a bite out of it. She did not care if it was raw or not, she was truly starving. Only after a few bites did she blow some fire on it to cook it a little bit. But the bloody mess around her mouth was already there. She devoured the entire leg, which was as tall as her, before looking in the chest once more. "Hmm, what's this?"
She pulled out a container of some kind that looked like a flask. She popped the top, and a whiff of spiritual qi flowed out. Kana's eyes widened as she put the flask to her mouth and took a sip… A gulp… A chug…. "Ahh! So good!" Kana wiped her mouth. She had no idea what kind of fluid this was, but it tasted absolutely delicious, and for some reason, the flask still felt full even after drinking so much. "Such amazing things… But with all of this, I will be able to work on the forge. Sadly no clothes, though…"
Kana felt a little disappointed. She closed the chest and was about to walk away when a thought came to mind. She bit the tip of her finger and dripped a drop of blood onto the chest. The chest glowed and suddenly shrank down and shot between the spot of Kana's brow. Kana smiled as she summoned the chest out again to make sure she could. "Hehe…" Now that she had something to use for storage that could not be stolen, Kana felt a little better. She walked over to the shelf and took everything off it, and put it inside the chest. Only after she was sure, she cleared the room of all the materials did she retract the chest and walk over to pick up her sword.
She gave the sword a gentle stroke before smiling. "Because I had you, I was able to survive."
She gently placed the sword on the table before waving her hand and summoning the forge. With a clunk, the forge fell to the ground. The fire inside was no longer lit, but Kana did not mind since she had her own dragon fire, which she had better control over. It was also mixed with phoenix flames making it even stronger.
She cleaned off the stool in front of the forge and sat down before going through the steps of making the soft metal armor. "According to what the jade slip says, I should be able to make a metal as soft as cloth. I can use any metal ores, but what kind of metal do I have?"
Kana was unsure what kind of metal ore she had. She summoned her chest once more and dug through it. "Hmmm… These here are interesting."
Kana pulled out two huge chunks of ore. One was deep red while the other was a midnight black. "These might work out well… One is warm to the touch while the other is cold and gives off an evil air."
Kana rolled the ores over a few times before making a decision. "Since I got an abundance of these, I will mix them together.. They are both extremely solid and seem to have different properties that might blend well together. "
