Chapter 278: New Tides
A year passed, and things finally began to settle down. The Rural Kingdom was now the sole ruler of the Munas continent. On top of that, a world alliance was formed. Each ruler was given a water mirror in order to keep in contact and make it, so things like this never happen again. Religion was also now heavily controlled around the world. A state representative was appointed to run unannounced inspections on all regions. This was to make it so things like the Yuthia Theocracy would never happen again.
With all that now taken care of, an era of peace was now taking place over the mortal realm. Most of those from the realm of gods had returned, and only Yuthia, Sei, Fox High God Methiesee, Rilneas stayed behind. Well, more like only these few were invited for the big event that was about to take place.
It was now time for the two goddesses, Yuthia and Sei, to bind themselves together for all eternity. High on top of a mountain in the Frost Haven Mountain range within the Rural Kingdom, a small palace was constructed. This was Yuthia's and Sei's new home. It was not all that big, but it was enough for the two of them. Out in the front courtyard, streamers of all different kinds of colors were strung about. Many kinds of food were set out on long tables allowing those attending this grandiose occasion to eat to their heart's content.
"Wow! Never have I once seen such a spectacle. Of course, in all my years, I never found that special someone..." Camlia looked around as she stood at Kana's side. As she had stated before, Camlia did not wish to leave Kana's side. The two were bound by blood and soul thanks to Camlia's tinkering. This had caused some issues for Creige and Kana over the past few months. Any time they were about to get intimate, this old loli would show up out of nowhere to interrupt.
And because the old loli was too powerful for either Creige and Kana to deal with, they could only grit their teeth and bear with it. But that was until Kana made a promise with Camlia. "Big Sister, you promised me if I brought you here, you would allow me and Creige to be alone at night."
"Yes, yes, I know. I know. I just do not get why those two little girls wouldn't invite me to their wedding! Humph! Maybe I should cut the red string of fate right as it is binding together." Camlia pouted. She hated being left out more than anything!
"Please don't. Those two took so many thousands of years to finally be together." Kana smiled bitterly. Camlia was like a loose cannon. She would do as she pleased, and there was no one who could stop her.
"Ahhh! Fine! So nit picky. If you keep acting like this, your husband will leave you." Camlia teased.
"I don't mind." Creige cut in. He really did not care what Kana did as long as she was happy.
"Bah! Damn demons so devoted! Can't you just play along for once? Such a spoilsport. But… I couldn't mind a demon husband of my own. I mean, I could order him to do whatever I wished, and he would listen to me. Yep, in the future, I will find myself a demon husband. Who wouldn't resist this young lady's charm!?" Camlia started making some sexy poses, well, what should look like sexy poses, but with her current body, it looked like a child trying to act like an adult.
"I am sure you will find someone who loves you one day, Big Sister." Kana tried her best not to laugh while at the same time trying to keep the queen of hell happy so she would not mess up the wedding.
"Are we leaving after the wedding?" Camlia asked.
"Mmm… I wanted to retrieve two people from the dungeon I was in, and I also need to receive the reward for passing the second trial and take on the third trial. After that, I will come back and try to revive Lysarith..." Kana's voice went soft at the end. She missed Lysarith a lot.
"Seems interesting, then I will accompany you!" Camlia said as she clapped her hands together.
As a happy event was occurring above ground, down deep below the surface was a large underground megacity. The inhabitants here were all insectoids. Billions upon billions of insectoids, all with human forms. Although it was underground, if you looked up, you would expect to only see pitch black, rock, or even dirt. But the insectoids were able to create an artificial sky. They were the only race on the planet Xeneria that was this highly advanced when it came to magi tech.
Because of how insectoids were connected from birth, they were already as smart as humans, now a few thousand years ago. With each new generation able to take on the knowledge of the past, they were able to improve on the old technologies allowing them to be leaps and bounds ahead of any civilization on Xeneria.
In one of the tallest buildings on the highest floors, an insectoid man sat in a chair reading a report about the surface. "Hah… Those damn surface dwellers."
"Sir, has our time finally come?" A male insectoid asked.
"It is almost time. We will have to do things one continent at a time. Right now, those surface dwellers are not doing well. So we will start with the largest continent, Kriren. The land of elves. We will finally be able to rise up and show our strength as the most advanced and powerful race on Xeneria!" The man's lips curled up into a broad smile. He had been waiting for this time. A time to fulfill the ancestors' wish to rise up and occupy the surface. It has taken many thousands of years, but it was finally time.
"Sir, it is said all races are equal, and there have been many of our kind who live in the cities working and playing. I do not think..." Another man tried to make his case but was quickly cut off.
"Del! You and your pro peace party do not see the reason for our rise. We will raise the flags of war only because of what happened in the past, the way we were persecuted. Those of our kind who happily mingle with other races are no better than those races. They can die along with them for all I care."
