Chapter 368: Breaking The System Part 2
[AN: Bonus Chapter 2/5]
Naru felt his whole body tremble as he was instantly engulfed in a black fog creating a black ball of death element that began to slowly float towards the ground. Kana reached out her hand and caught the black ball before sitting down cross legged and placing it in her lap.
One thing Kana had noticed since the time she forced herself to become a goddess temporarily was that she seemed to no longer need food or water. She did not know why this was, but it did make her curious as to what her stats were like since she had not looked in a long time. Kana opened her menu to take a peek.

"Hmm… So even though I have not switched forms, my flood dragon still went up. I wonder if it is because I can control my elements without needing to switch…. Not that I am complaining. This is all good news for me… But I am curious as to what this [Deity Status] thing is. It was never there before. I wonder if it is because of what I did previously..." Kana pondered for a bit on this but could not think of a reason other than she had become the goddess of death once already. She let out a sigh as she looked down at the black ball in her arms. "I wonder what you will look like when you are done..."
As the days passed, six weeks went by, and up in the air hovering over the city of the dead, three figures could be seen. Camlia looked at the massive city below in shock as she asked: "This is the place?"
"Yes, it is a place where one can enter but never return. But for some reason, I feel the death element in the area has decreased a little..." Old Sa answered.
"Then we have nothing to fear. She will come out when she is done." Camlia floated down to the ground and found a spot to sit.
"What do you mean she will come out when she is done?" Old Sa asked.
"It's simple…. Yaya, I know you are there. Come out, or I will spank you!" Camlia shouted.
"Sister Camlia, do you have to call me out like that!?" Yaya pouted as she appeared next to Camlia.
"She entered the cathedral, right?" Camlia ignored Yaya's complaint and got straight to the point.
"Yes. At first, I was worried she would be stuck in the eternal loop as the rest of the souls are, but in the end, her little death elemental was able to snap her out of it. This was over a month ago. They have been inside ever since. But I know she is still alive and well." Yaya explained.
"Then we can just wait here for her to come out. Or, more precisely, we will know when she is ready to come out." Camlia's lips curled up into a smile. 'Sister, will you really return to who you truly are one day?'
Old Sa was shivering in his boots when he felt Yaya's aura. He knew she was strong beyond anything he could ever imagine. He quietly sat to the side, not daring to utter a word unless he was spoken to first. As for Mel, she was busy investigating the outer walls of the city of the dead.
"It's here!" Aoi said excitedly as she flew into an ice cave. The cave walls were a deep blue color and reflected everything around it like glass. People who entered this cave would end up lost trying to find their way through with how everything was reflected. But Aoi had no issues due to her following the thing that was calling out to her.
She flew deeper and deeper into the cave, through many twists and turns until finally, it opened up to a large room of ice. There was a deep drop off in the middle of this room that one could not see the bottom of. But across from it was a palace carved out of the ice wall on the other side.
Nervously Aoi flew across the drop off and made her way to the opposite side. What shocked Aoi the most about this place was that there were carvings of many elementals on the walls of varying sizes, even some the size of humans. "This… Is this a higher elemental?"
Moving her eyes from the wall, Aoi flew through the large doors. While the outside of the palace looked grand, the inside was very simple. It was one large room with an ice throne. But what drew her eye the most was the small ball of golden light floating on top of the throne.
Aoi flew over to it but stayed a distance away. She did not want to get too close just in case it was dangerous. But this small ball of golden light seemed to have other ideas as it shot out a thin beam of golden light right into Aoi's head. Aoi was startled and wanted to run, but she found her body unable to move. "Relax… You will not be harmed…. I have been waiting so many millions of years for you to appear..."
"My name was Asoli. I was the Empress of all elementals. I had control over every element, and all elementals had to bow down to me. Although I had no land or had anyone follow under me. If an elemental saw me, they would still bow and see me as their empress. Only one can be the empress, and only the empress can use every element." Asoli paused, and the golden light that was holding Aoi in place was released. The small ball of golden light began to expand until a beautiful woman with blue hair and golden eyes stood in front of Aoi. She smiled as she reached out to Aoi and patted her head. "It must have been hard reaching this place. But let me assure you. Your journey was for not. I have been waiting so, so many years for the next empress to finally arrive..."
