Chapter 324: Your Everyday Neighborhood Friendly Fire Breathing Dragon Girl
Old Sir was quite surprised by Kana's choice. "You know I am only using your memories and going by the things you know about that world. The training might not be all that good."
"Mmm… I read many military books, so it should be fine. How else would you come up with this assassin thing? Plus, I do not think such a thing as a large flying lizard that breathes fire would be real in that world. Maybe in a movie poster I once saw, but that is about it. Not to mention those damn birds. I kind of want to punch you for that. Anyway, I am sure whatever it is, it will teach me something." Kana said as she pursed her lips.
"Ahem..." Old Sir cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject. "Then I will send you back."
Kana watched as the world around her started up and again and let out a sigh. "Grandpa, I want to do some more forging."
"Oh? Alright, let's get to it then, Grandfather will teach you."
Kana spent the rest of the day forging with Old Fan. Only when night fell did he leave. Kana did her normal routine before sleeping soundly, only waking up the next morning just as the sun rose. She got up and walked over to where Lizzy was sound asleep. She patted his head before walking to his rear side. She lifted her leg and brought it back. With one strong thrust, she sent a strong kick right on the big lizard's butt cheek. "Ouch!" She, of course, did not use all of her strength.
"Damnit!" Lizzy cursed. He hated the fact that this damn monster was so strong, or he would have burned her fifty times over!
"Wake up, Lizzy. I need to thank you for keeping me company during this time. You are free to go." Kana said as she walked back over to where Lizzy's head was. She then reached out and patted his nose.
"You are not playing with me, right?" Lizzy asked, unsure if this was a trap or not. He didn't want to start moving, only to be beaten up in the process.
"Mm... You can go." Kana gave Lizzy one more pat before walking away. Although this was all in her mind, she still felt a little sad. Lizzy was good for stress relief.
Lizzy looked at the monster walking away and slowly edged away from his dog house before quickly escaping with his tail between his legs. But when he got halfway to his old cave, he stopped and looked back. Although the monster was mean and hit him sometimes, he did like her cooking. He gave a slight bow of his head before continuing back to his cave.
Kana sat lazily by the water side. Her right foot partially dipped in the water. Her other leg bent up near her chest as she rested her head on it. "I hope this training will be good enough for me to learn something. Although it may be useless, I know if I miss this opportunity, I will never have this chance again."
Kana sat and gazed out over the water for almost two hours when the sounds of a helicopter could be heard overhead. She stood up to see a familiar figure getting off of it. He wore a black suit and had a handsome face, but to Kana, he was her mortal enemy. Seeing this man coming time and time again, Kana yelled out: "I don't have any food for you to steal!"
Fan Ji, who was smiling, face, became stiff hearing Kana's words. "I am not a food thief, and I am your boss! I am here to take you to your next training!"
"Oh? Hello boss." Kana's attitude did a full one eighty as she bowed her head slightly and spoke politely.
"No need. In fact, I did cook one of your birds for that, I do apologize." Kana rolled her eyes at these words. 'Did you not just say you were not a food thief! Now you are apologizing for cooking my food!'
"Anyway, let's go." Kana said, not wanting to exchange any more words. If she was not wrong, this scenario was probably one of those CEO novels where the big bad CEO chases after a girl. Otherwise, why else would this man keep showing up? She didn't need some imaginary CEO trying to woo her! She had her handsome husband, who was very good in every way!
"Yes, of course, this way, please." Fan Ji saw this chance, so he reached out to hold Kana's hand to lead her to the helicopter, only to have his hand slapped away. He reached out again, and once again, it was slapped away. Inside the helicopter, his assistant was watching all of this from the side and shook his head. 'My boss is an idiot!'
Kana was actually kind of excited to be able to ride on a helicopter. Although she could not fly on her own, she still always wanted to try this once. She looked out the door letting the air brush past her face, all the while ignoring the pesky food stealer who kept trying to bring up conversations.
"Ahem… Seven… No, Kana, was it? I need to know some information, if you may." Fan Ji's assistant suddenly cut in.
"Oh, what do you need to know?" Kana finally turned her head. As long as it wasn't the food stealer, she would talk to them.
"I need to know what race you actually are. As it is obvious to tell you are not human." The assistant asked.
"Me? Oh, I am just your everyday neighborhood friendly fire breathing dragon girl." Kana said with a bright smile.
The assistant was looking at Kana with a strange expression on his face. 'How can you say you are friendly and fire breathing in the same sentence!?' He, of course, kept this to himself. He did not want to anger this girl since he had witnessed his own boss being tossed away like a piece of trash. Kana looked at the assistant who was not saying anything and asked: "Anything else?"
