Chapter 436: The Past: Love For An Eternity Part 5
Few more days passed, and Kana was very happy with her new life. Although lately, Ar'en was a bit obsessive with making sure she didn't have to lift a finger. He was trying to spoil her as much as possible. His sudden actions came about when Kana asked him a certain question one day. "Ar'en, why do you love me? Is it because of my power?"
Kana had been thinking of reasons for Ar'en to fall in love with someone like her. She had had this thought many times, but she did not care to ask at the time. But now that she truly wanted to spend her life with him, she had to ask. Luckily Ar'en answered her without any hesitation as at all as he said: "Absolutely not! It wouldn't matter to me whether you are powerful or not. What made me fall in love with you was your way of thinking. Your way of thinking is just like mine. When you spoke that time at the city after it was destroyed, your words filled my heart, and then the next thing I knew, I was only thinking about you. And thus, I couldn't restrain myself. And for the years that followed after our first meeting, I knew you were the only one for me. As you can see, my castle has no consorts, nor will I ever get any. You, Kana, are the one I love with all my heart. Even if you were to die, I would find your reincarnation and show you, my love, all over again. To me, it wouldn't matter if you were a man or an ant on the ground. I would find you and once again give you my heart.
"Whether you believe me or not is up to you. But just know, I will never ask you to stand on the front lines of any battle or ask you to kill anyone. I just want you to be you. I want to see your smile every day." Ar'en paused and then made a firm decision. And just because Kana could say a word, he continued: "We will make a soul contract. You will be my master."
Ar'en wanted to prove his words since words can be empty. So instead of just saying it, he decided to prove it with actions. He touched his hand to his chest, making his soul step out of his body. "To prove my love to you, I will now offer you a piece of my soul..."
"Ar'en..." Kana looked at Ar'en in surprise. This was the ultimate act of submission based on the wording of the contract.
Ar'en shook his head and said: "Kana, I must do this in order to prove to you my words are not empty. Please…" Ar'en loved Kana deeply he never wanted her to feel she was being used by him. He was willing to give part of his soul to her.
Kana hesitated for a moment before nodding her head and saying: "I agree, but I want you to add a few things to the contract."
"You can add whatever you want. Whatever your wish is." Ar'en did not care what she wanted to add. He would add it as long as she was happy.
"First…" Kana paused as she bit her lip as if she was struggling to get the words out. "If I die and am reincarnated. and you find me, when you see the chance for me to be filled with grief, suffering, and hate, I want you to allow me to suffer… This way, I can reclaim my clan's heritage."
"No! How could I do that!? " Ar'en immediately said no. He did not want to see her suffer ever!
"Ar'en, you promised me! Never mind, forget it. I will just go live in the mountains far away from people." Kana yelled. He just said he would allow her to add whatever, and he is already telling her no!
Ar'en face turned black. He gritted his teeth and said: "Fine! I promise."
Kana couldn't help but smile. "My first child with you, I want it sent away to live in the mortal realm. If anything happens to me and you, I want my child to be in a safe place. He or she will have the genes of both you and me and should be able to inherit my clan's bloodline. "
"This..." Ar'en never expected Kana, who loved kids, to say such a thing, but when he looked into her eyes and saw she was about to tear up just speaking of such a thing. He could only nod his head. "Then so be it. But what about the other children?"
"Just one… Unless we have completely taken over the sea of stars, I will only have one child. I'm sorry." Kana lowered her head. She knew she was asking for too much, but she couldn't help it. This was very important to her. She wanted to leave behind at least one child to pass on her clan's bloodline in order for there to be more Nephilim descendants in the future.
Ar'en took a deep breath and let it out as he said: "Okay."
"Second to last, I want to take over the sea of stars one day. Get my revenge for my clan, and then I want to make a big family with you and welcome back the child we had to send away." Kana blushed as she said this. She was being very straightforward, which was unlike her.
Ar'en smiled and nodded his head. "I agree!" Her words made up for the last addition to the contract.
Kana took a deep breath and continued: "And lastly, if I die, find me, and love me all over again."
"I planned on it." Ar'en Made a few hand signs and made a magic circle appear under them. "Then I will start."
Kana nodded and released her soul. Her soul stepped out of her body and reached out and stabbed her hand into Ar'en's soul. Ar'en grunted and had beads of sweat form on his forehead as Kana's soul tore off a piece of his soul. He then formed golden letters in the air that had the contents of the contract on them and infused them into the piece of soul that Kana's soul was holding. Then he watched as Kana's soul opened her mouth and ate his soul. A gold light flashed, and on Kana's soul a spot form with golden lettering on it. The soul color was slightly off showing that it did not belong to her.
A little out of breath Ar'en smiled and said: "With this we will love each other for all eternity."
