Chapter 861: Poison Versus Vampire?
As Bell walked toward the stage, she remembered what her Mama had told her. She wondered if she could easily get around this poison somehow. While she was pondering, she walked up on stage. The Poison Sect disciple also made his way onto the stage. He wore a long black cloak with a hood covering his face. But if one looked at his skinny boney fingers that looked too pale to be alive, one could tell he dabbled in more unorthodox ways of cultivation.
"You should give in now…." The Poison Sect disciple said in a hoarse voice. "Once my poison seeps in, it will be impossible for you to leave this stage alive."

Bell had been trying to figure out how to counteract the poisons that she had forgotten one major thing about herself. She was a vampire! Poisons can't kill her! When she remembered this point, all her mental planning halted. She let out a long self deprecating sigh at how stupid she was. She had forgotten her Mama was always someone who worried about her children even if nothing bad would happen. "Well…. Maybe if you were fighting against one of my sisters and you were able to poison them, that would be true. Of course, that is a big if. But…. You are sadly facing me. "
"Hump! You talk big. Don't say I didn't warn you. And do not come for me for an antidote. I never carry them on me. Geheheheheheh!" The Poison Sect disciple let out a horrid laugh.

Sect master Tian walked on stage and looked at the two before looking at Bell. "Because this is a fight with the Poison Sect, the rule about hidden weapons is not lifted. This is because of the fighting style of the Poison Sect." After saying this, he turned and looked at the Poison Sect disciple. "Pass me the antidotes for all the poisons you will be using in this match. Otherwise forfeit now."
The Poison Sect disciple froze as he waved his hand, sending five bottles towards sect master Tian. He couldn't believe the damn old man forced him to lose face before the match even began. He was hoping they would not ask for them until after the match.
After putting the antidotes away, sect master Tian looked at both of them before saying: "Begin!"

Bell wasted no time drawing her sword and charging forward. She kicked off the ground causing the spot where her foot pressed down on the battle stage to cave in and crack. Her explosive speed surprised the Poison Sect disciple. He quickly waved his sleeve, sending out a net of needles, all dripping in a purple fluid.
Bell watched as the thin needles shot toward her and did not even try to dodge them. She only blocked the ones aimed at her eyes. "Fool! This match is mine!" The Poison Sect disciple shouted out as he watched his needles sink into Bell's skin. He only needed to wait for her to fall to the ground screaming in pain.
He just needed to wait for her to fall to the ground screaming in pain….

He just needed to wait for her to fall to the ground screaming in pain….
He just needed to wait for her to fall to the ground screaming in pain….
….
"Why are you not falling to the ground screaming in pain!?" The Poison Sect disciple did not understand it. He was sure that he had used the right poison but no matter how he looked at the young woman charging at him, she showed no signs of being poisoned!
"You! No, how!?" The Posion Sect disciple yelled out. He started to back up. He wanted to quickly leave the stage. If his poisons did not work, then he was basically defenseless! But the girl did not stop! She was only a few steps away! "No, stay away! Stay away! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"
As soon as Bell arrived in front of him, she struck down with her sword, and then with quick speed, using some of the needles stuck in her arm she ripped them out and jabbed them into the fresh sword wound on the disciple's chest.
The Poison Sect disciple now realized that the poisons he used were indeed the right ones! But the pain was too much. He fell to the ground and began convulsing. Sect master Tian quickly jumped up on stage and ran over to the Poison Sect disciple and fed him each of the antidotes. Once the poison sect disciple drank the antidotes, his suffering slowly came to an end, but his entire body was not too weak to move.
Seeing his condition stabilized, sect master Tian walked to the middle of the stage and announced: "Winner, Bell!"
Bell nodded and began using her spiritual qi to push out the rest of the needles stuck in her body. The tiny pinholes all instantly healed. She glanced at the Poison Sect disciple, who was now being carried off stage, and shook her head. "Overconfidence in his poison and not learning other ways of fighting will be his end."
"What you said is true. While poison can be a deadly skill, if it is countered at all, then the one using poison will become vulnerable." Sect master Tian agreed with Bell's statement. He had no idea how she did it but being one of Kana's children meant she was not weak in the slightest.
When Bell returned to the waiting area, she was immediately pulled to stand in front of her Mama. "Why did you just thank it like it was nothing!? You scared me to death!"
"But Mama… I'm a vampire…. I can't get poisoned…." Bell tried to explain, but Kana still checked her from head to toe to make sure she was completely okay.
"That doesn't matter. You need to be more careful. What if he had a poison that could affect you!? No matter what, go into battles with the idea that you might die! When this tournament is over you will be going into training with you sisters!" As soon as Kana said these words Bell's face paled. She hung her head and reluctantly nodded.
