Chapter 445: The Past: Betrayal Part 1
[Bonus Chapter 6/20]
When Kana woke up, she was met with a pair of eyes staring back at her. She felt confused. She couldn't remember anything. "You're finally awake, Miss."
"Miss? Huh? Where am I?" Kana was confused. For some reason, she couldn't remember anything. She could only remember her name. So she could only look to the young girl next to her for answers.
"You are in your home. You fell and bumped your head. You have been asleep for almost two years." The young girl lied. She already knew of this young woman's past. She was sworn to secrecy by the man who took her in. So she felt bad for lying to a woman who had lost her memories.
"Oh? I do not remember… It must have been a big fall… I only remember my name." Kana frowned slightly and tried to get up to see what her surroundings were like.
"Miss! You can't get up just yet. Let the Young Master come and check on you." The Young Master she was talking about was Sho.
"Umm.. Your name..." Kana felt slightly embarrassed. She had no idea if this girl had served her a long time now or not.
"My name is Camlia, Miss." Camlia smiled as she answered. "If you will excuse me while I go tell the Young Master you are awake. "
"Mm..." Kana nodded. She felt nervous about meeting this young master Camlia was talking about.
Not long later, Sho walked in and bowed deeply to Kana. "Young Miss, I am terribly sorry for not being able to protect you."
Sho did not wish to tell Kana about what happened that day. It was true that she had been in a deep coma since they escaped that day. She was stabbed right through the heart, and it took a lot out of him to save her. Until he knew for sure that Ar'en had broken the seal, he did not wish to bring back any painful memories of the past and wanted to allow his queen to live a new life. Only when Ar'en broke the seal would he tell her everything.
"It's fine… I heard I fell, so how can it be anyone's fault? Sadly I do not remember anything. Are you the young master that Miss Camlia was speaking of?" Kana asked. She was having a hard time looking at Sho, he was very handsome. "Are we..." before she could finish these words, Sho quickly interrupted her.
"No! I am not worthy of Young Miss. I am nothing more than your humble servant. I was tasked with your care, and I will make sure you never suffer again." Sho explained. He realized his sudden outburst had startled Kana a bit.
"Then I will be in your care." Kana pursed her lips as she blushed slightly. She had no idea what she was thinking! But when she did think of Sho being her lover, she felt heartache as if such a thought was wrong. So she did not think any more of it.
"Yes. For now, please rest. Camlia and two others will be here to help attend to you. If there is anything you wish for, just let them or myself know. Everyone in this house is here to serve you faithfully." Sho explained and then bowed his head again. When he lifted his head, he looked at Camlia and said: "Get Shamile and Yaya in here."
Camlia nodded and ran out of the room. She returned two minutes later with two other people in tow. "These two are Shamile and Yaya, the ones I spoke of."
"Hello." Kana greeted with a nod of her head.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss!" Shamile was the first to step forward. She seemed to be very friendly.
"It's a pleasure!" Yaya greeted back. Kana felt that Yaya was a girl full of energy.
As the months passed, Kana became very close to the three girls. She treated them all like sisters and never demanded anything of them. She was especially close to Camlia. She seemed to feel a strong bond with her. Camlia also felt close to Kana. The two even had slumber parties and talked throughout the night.
Her days were never boring as the three girls would do all kinds of things with her. They went to town and browsed the shops and street stalls. They even went out and killed monsters together. With just one look, you would think these four girls were blood related sisters with how well they got along.
After many years of being together, Camlia and Yaya began to notice something strange with Shamile. She seemed to be obsessed with Sho. Any chance she got, she would try to appease Sho and would even take credit for things that were done by others. No one would have noticed anything was wrong until both Yaya and Camlia had seen a murderous look on Shamile's face when Sho talked with Kana one day. Just because the two were close, Shamile seemed to be unable to control her feelings.
Because of this, Camlia decided to say something. "Shamile, I know you love Sho but do not take it out on Kana. She thinks of you as a close sister and has no interest in Sho."
"Camlia, I have no idea what you're talking about. I love Kana just as much as she loves me. We are sisters!" Shamile said with a look of shock on her face. It was as if she had been accused of something wrongly.
Camlia frowned and wondered if she was wrong. She nodded and said: "Okay, as long as you have no grudge against Kana."
Who knew that one day Camlia would regret believing Shamile that day. Ten years later, Camlia walked into Shamile as she stabbed her hand through Kana's heart. Kana looked at Shamile with tears in her eyes as she asked: "Why? Why are you doing this? I don't think I have ever treated you wrongly."
"Humph! It is because Sho treats you too well and ignores me!"
