Chapter 545: The Realm Of Blood
"Would you stop attacking me!?" The old man yelled out as his body flickered all over. The girl in front of him, who was already covered in blood from the mass killing she just did, was chasing after him swinging her sword at him left and right.
"You know I dislike you because you ripped my family apart. You took my Mama away and sealed her memories for over a hundred years. To me, you are nothing but an enemy who deserves to die!" Yana yelled. She would never forgive this old man.
The old man gave a defeated smile. He knew she was right, but he had his reasons for what he did. He did not wish for Kana's mind to break. But he could also use this to offer Yana the chance to grow even stronger. "As you are now, you can never defeat me! Why not listen to what I have to say, and I can promise you will grow in strength beyond anything you could ever imagine."
Yana stopped attacking and looked at the old man with a look of disdain. "Why should I listen to you?"
"Because the power I offer you will allow you to grow strong enough with your current skills to become unbeatable with the sword. Your current abilities are already some of the best in all the realms. But you still have a long way to go if you wish to be able to stand at the top along with your two sisters." The old man replied. He knew his words had caught her interest.
"Oh? And where did you send my sisters? What kind of trial will they have to endure?" Yana asked.
"Your sister, Angelica, will be going to take on the trials in the realm of the dead to become the Ghost Empress. Your sister Rain is working now to gain the right to enter the realm of spirits in order to take on the trial of the Spirit Empress. Out of the three of you, Rain's trial is the hardest of them all. As for you, I want you to take the trial of the war god. Well, in your case, the war goddess.
" The Realm of Blood is a place where thousands of deaths occur every second. People are to this day still battling over the throne of the war god. It's called the realm of blood because the ground runs red with blood. This is because people come from all the other realms to test their strength and try to take the throne. Most of those who try will die, and their blood will soak the lands. The ground has soaked up this blood for so many thousands of years that the grass, the trees, and even the few monsters that live there have turned a bloody red.
"Now I ask you, would you like to grow stronger?" The old man looked at Yana, waiting for her reply. Unsurprisingly, he did not have to wait long.
"Yes, I will go. But old man, do not regret this because once I take the throne, I will come to kill you." Yana said with a smile. This caused a chill to run down the old man's spine. He knew this girl was a double-edged sword, but with her plus her sisters, Kana's ability to rule over all would be set in stone, and her family would be safe.
"Do you need time to get ready?" The old man asked.
"No need. Send me there now." Yana's eyes were glowing with excitement. She loved to battle and hoped to find many strong opponents on the other side.
The old man nodded and waved his hand. A bloody gate with skulls poking out of it appeared. Yana did not even wait for it to fully appear before jumping into it with her hand on the hilt of her sword. The old man waved his hand again and sighed. He looked up at the sky as he mumbled: "I can only pray you will all be safe." Although he said this, he knew if any of them were on the verge of death, he could save them, but he still couldn't help but worry after seeing all these skills that he had not even known about himself. If something happened...
After sighing once more, he disappeared and reappeared back in Eden. "Your Grace." A soft voice came from behind the old man. He turned to see a young woman standing there. "Ahh, Gabriel, what can I help you with?"
"I just wanted to ask. Are you sure that this girl is the right choice? From what I can see, she seems to not be right to be the leader of us all. Eden may just collapse under her rule." Gabriel's words may seem out of concern, but it was more right to say she was denouncing his choice because she did not wish to work under the goddess of death. "If you just give Lina another chance..."
"No! I will not give that two-faced woman another chance. She will not become my successor. Gabriel, do not bring this up again, or else I will expel you from Eden altogether. Now I am tired so excuse yourself." The old man waved the woman off, who was wearing white robes and had white wings on her back. Her golden halo that hovered over her head showed that she was from the angelic race.
After the old man walked away, Gabriel turned away. Her calm, smiling face turned sour as she stomped away in anger. One thing she couldn't understand was that Lina, the Goddess Of Life, has suddenly stopped showing up in Aurora. This fact had really started to bother her. "Maybe I should go out and search for her… Or maybe… Maybe I should get rid of the competition… The old man will not interfere if I go out and fight with her. After all, if he did, he would be breaking his own rules."
The thought that this old man had not already broken his own rules never crossed Gabriel's mind as she flew off in search for the goddess of death she so despised.
