Chapter 795: The World Of Belda Part 3
Kana had no idea how much time had passed, but if she was forced to estimate how much time she had been stuck playing this stupid game, she would say about two weeks. Currently, she had some glowing sword, shining metal armor with purple hues, some weird monsters that would fight for her, and a bunch of spells that could obliterate everything.
How did she get all these things? Well, she spent every waking hour looting everything she could find. What she didn't need, she sold. Then she would get quests from people and do this until finally she beat some monster in some huge castle and was now just a few feet away from the path to what looks like the end zone. Now she could have quit the game at the halfway point, but the robot hologram or the one controlling the game sneakily pulled a fast one and had a timed window popup after she fell asleep.
Kana cursed the stupid robot, but no matter how much she complained, the robot would not change its mind. In other words, it was never going to allow her to quit the game in the first place. So she stopped sleeping altogether and began grinding levels. Level after level until she could one shot everything around her. She would do all the quests and loot everything she could until she had a whole inventory full of powerful gear.
Hour after hour passed, and after all her blood, sweat, and tears, she was now level ninety nine. All her stats were also maxed out. The robot felt very disgruntled. It did not seem to like the attitude that Kana was giving it. But there was nothing it could do. It could not break the scope of the game as this was how the creator made it as well as the game.
Even as the one who is able to control the game, it can not go against the rules of the game. It can only bed them slightly, and unfortunately, monsters in the game had no way of bending them to become immortal. It could only watch as Kana killed monster after monster. Boss after boss. Even secret boss after secret boss.
Even though it was upset with Kana, it still had to give her credit as the only person who had ever made it this far since the game was created. It actually wondered just what the end of the game would look like.
As for Kana, she did not care about the story, the adventure, or even the one NPC who chased after her for days trying to get her to marry him. She just wanted out of this game. She hated the menus. So many menus! She wanted to punch the one who created this game. She wanted to ask what the hell was wrong with them making so many popup menus. Were they someone who had a menu fetish!?
Kana truly did not understand, but as she cut her way up the mountain trail and could see the end of the game insight, her expression was feverish as if she was going to go crazy at any moment as she pushed her way towards the goal line.
Four more days later, Kana reached the final boss room. The boss was some fake dragon looking thing that looked very overbearing. But as soon as Kana saw it, she ran towards it and slapped it with her sword sending it flying into a wall and taking half its life. She stomped her way towards the dragon that seemed to have fear in its eyes and raised her sword. "Just die!"
Kana chopped down over and over until the dragon turned into balls of light and disappeared. A sound sounded out, and the robot's voice filled the air. "Congratulations! You have won the game!"
Kana watched as the scenery in front of her disappeared, and she found herself back in the room she was in when this whole thing started. Up in the air was the robot looking back down on her. "As you have beaten the game as promised, I will now give you your prize. Clear your mind."
Before Kana could say a word, a ray of light shot forth and penetrated into her head. Kana let out a scream of pain as information poured into her brain. She did not know how it was happening, but each phrase of the foreign language was being translated, so she knew what each symbol was as well as thousands upon thousands of ways to use the god runes.
"Now then, since you have received your reward, would you like to play World of Belda 2 A Link To The Future?"
"No!" Kana quickly replied before turning and walking towards the door that was now unsealed without even looking back. She did not care what the reward would be, she would not wish to spend any more time in such an annoying game.
After Kana left the room, the robot hologram turned into an old man who stroked his golden beard. "A very interesting girl. I guess I will make it so she can find the other inheritance sites, I made quite a few of these games after all."
As Kana walked out of the stairway of the stone hut, she couldn't wait to get away from this place no matter what. The further she got from the place, the better. She needed to release some of the stress build up she had acquired during her time in the game.
"Stop right there! Hand over everything you just got from the stone hut!" A cultivator from the righteous path yelled out. This young man was one of a group of five.
Kana looked up at this young man and smiled brightly. "I had been looking for a way to release some stress."
What followed was five people begging for mercy as they were beaten, stripped, and hung from a dead tree. If it had been any other day, Kana would not have gone so far, but she was in a very, very bad mood thanks to a certain World Of Belda. The most annoying video game ever made. Kana just wished she could find the person who created the game.
