Chapter 524: From Mother To Daughter Part 3
After the old man left, Angelica looked at the orb in her hand. A smile formed on her lips as she sent magic into it, causing an image of her mother to appear. "Yo ho! Angelica! Are you mad at Mama for disappearing? I know I would be… I heard you were gaining strength. You are probably even more powerful than me right now. Although I disappeared and a hundred years have passed, I am still at the same strength as I was before, sadly."
Kana's message was really no different than what she sent Rain. She ended up breaking down in tears again, which brought tears to Angelica's eyes, then the next second, she was laughing. Her Mama never changed. She still worried about the same things. Angelica reached out and patted the top of the projected image, and smiled. "Don't worry, Mama, none of us would ever hate you. We will all make our way to you."
While Angelica was watching her Mama's message over and over, Yana was busy trying to stab an old man. "Because of you, Mama had to suffer!"
"Look, Little lady, you can attack all you want. It will not do anything…. Oh? What's this?" The old man raised his hand to see a thin line of blood beginning to form where he blocked the blade. "Now this is interesting..."
"Hmph!" Yana spun the sword in her hand and got into her striking stance again. She closed her eyes, and a strange power suddenly exploded from her body. The old man looked at Yana in great surprise but also a bit of panic. "Wait! What the hell is that power!?"
The old man had no idea how she was even able to harm him, but it did not seem like she planned to stop! "First stance, slash of the beginning!"
Yana's body disappeared and reappeared behind the old man. The old man felt a sting on his stomach and looked down to see his robes were cut, and his skin was red with a small cut on it. He was completely surprised! But what surprised him even more, was that it seemed Yana was not finished! "Second stance, slash of creation!"
Once again, the old man felt a sting on his skin, this time on his back! "Third stance, slash of destruction!"
"Fourth stance, slash of ch..."
"Hold on!" The old man felt a terrifying power suddenly emerge from the little girl in front of him. He quickly waved his hand, stopping her actions. "Look, I know you dislike me but come on! At least watch the orb recording from your mother before you try to kill his defenseless old man!"
"Tch… Defenseless… The sword of the beginning is not something one should be able to take and live." Yana snorted as she regained control of her body. She reached out and took the orb from the old man. She did not even wait for the old man to say a word before injecting her magic into it. When she saw the image of her Mama, she couldn't help but smile, but that lasted only a second when she heard the words her mother spoke. "Yana, I heard your super strong from the old man. Beat him up for Mama for taking me away and not letting me come see you personally! Did you know he said the orb message I could send you was the second shortest!?"
"Wait!" The old man wanted to cry. She really recorded that!? When he saw Yana going to move to attack again, he couldn't help but cry out. He did not dare stay any longer! He had to go and research this sword of the beginning that Yana mentioned!
"Humph! Ran away..." Pursing her lips, she went back to the beginning of the message and watched it from the start all over again. The place she was in was an ancient temple in a secret location that she had just happened to stumble upon. It was here that she had found the sword of the beginning and had been studying it for the past twenty years. It was a set of ten sword stances, and she had only learned up to the sixth stance. And even then, the sixth stance alone was enough to heavily wound the old man if she were to use it. "Yana before I go. When we first met, you were treated as nothing but a tool by the people who kidnapped you. I hope these past one hundred years have been fulfilling for you. I have always wished that you could have a life where you were able to follow your dreams and interests. Just remember Mama will always love you no matter what."
"Mama..." Yana wiped the tears in her eyes. "Don't worry, both of us have become one and are living our lives the way we wish." Yana's two personalities did end up merging to form a single personality. She kept her compassion and her ruthlessness. If you were kind, she was kind to you. If you betrayed her, she would kill you without even blinking an eye. Her only goal in life was to be strong, stronger than anyone but her Mama and handsome papa.
"Pfft! What happened to you!?" Kana asked as she saw the cut up robe of the old man as he reappeared on her ship.
"Why did you tell your daughter to beat me up!?" The old man asked with an expression that was asking Kana how she could betray him like that.
"Humph! Next time don't be stingy on the record times on the orbs! I was unable to give all the details of my journey!" Kana complained.
"Ah! Forget it. Anyway. Your kids will do fine. I have given Rain extra protection since she is starting off slower than the others. Now…. I will summon the other four. Are you ready?" The old man asked.
"Yes!" She couldn't wait to see the others, especially her mother. She had so much to tell Lysarith and wanted to hear everything she had seen and heard while she was gone. While she had heard most of it from the old man, she didn't trust him enough to take his full word on things.
The old man nodded and waved his hand, causing four figures to appear. It was just that… "Tri'an not here we are in the lab what if someone walks…. Er? Kana!?"
"Bell, cover your eyes!" Kana jumped up and clasped her hands over Bell's eyes. Tri'an had Eie in a very intimate position….
"Ahhh!" Eie yelled out and covered her little body as she flew behind Tri'an, trying to hide herself. She poked her head out and tried to explain. "Kana, it's not what you think!"
"It's fine! Can you both just get proper, please?" Kana sighed as she looked over at Misaki, who was already trying to talk up one of the machines on her ship. Then her eyes fell on Lysairth, who was standing there with her hands behind her back, looking at the floor drawing circles on it with her toe. "Mom..."
"Been a while..." Lysairth looked up and smiled warmly at Kana. She then walked over and stood in front of her. Kana smiled and released her soul, and hugged Lysairth tightly.
A half hour later, everyone was sitting in a meeting room where Kana and the old man were going to explain things. The old man went first. "I summoned you four here to assist Kana on her journey. She will be traveling from world to world, looking for parts of her past life as well as leveling up and looking for chances to evolve. I hope you all can support her as she works her way to the sea of stars. This plane you are on is different from the ones you have been to before. Unlike the ones where the realms have split, this universe is vastly different, and there are no separate realms. Well, what they call realms are the planets you are able to visit.
"The closer you are to the center of this universe, the more powerful the people and monsters will be. There are many different races and many wars strung throughout the universe. In order to aid you on this journey, I have given this ship the ability to hide in the void. It will not travel any faster inside of it, but it will at least keep the ship protected at all times. Kana, you will have a new passive skill that will allow you to breathe in space. I have already added it to you. With your mastery over space and time, you should be able to leave and enter the ship while it is in the void.
"While it is in the void, you will still be able to see the space around you, so do not worry. But just remember there may be a race that can detect you and penetrate the void, so already be careful. Although this ship is highly advanced and with the help of your companions I am sure you can make some new additions to it and make it even stronger.
"That is all from me. I will be heading off now. I will leave the rest for Kana to explain."
