"Wait! Something's off," one of the creatures from the Thousand Waves Space Sea commented. They
all lowered their weapons as they noticed that the darkness race army had ceased their attacks.

"Hey! These bastards from the darkness race stopped attacking us!"

"Are they retreating?"

Various creatures speculated. Just a few moments ago, they were locked in a ferocious battle against
the darkness race, but now, it seemed like the enemy had completely abandoned them. They seemed
to be preoccupied in an entirely different thing―it left all of them muddled.

"Are they giving up just like that? Why did they come all the way here just to cease the fight?
Something's up,"

some creatures wondered. They racked their brains for answers since the sudden decision of the
enemy did not make any sense.

"Hmm, I doubt it.

The darkness race knows how powerful they are. Surely, they're not retreating out of fear.

I guess something happened, so they had to withdraw abruptly.

Even if that's the case, we have to be careful! Don't let your guard down.

"You're right! We have to stay vigilant! There's a chance that they're going to return to wreak havoc

While they were all discussing among them, Zander and Chloe were hidden from a safe distance. They
closely watched everything that was going on in the battlefield. When suddenly, Zander noticed that the
darkness race was approaching them.

"Fuck! We have to go!" he urgently told Chloe. The darkness race was heading to their direction at full
speed.

"What the hell is going on?"

Zander cursed as the both of them escaped farther.

He took a quick glance in the horde of enemies approaching them. There, he noticed that the army of
darkness race brought a wizard with them. He noticed from the distinct monochromatic clothing,
complete with a black robe and a black staff.

"Shit! Just my luck! They brought a wizard with them!"

Zander narrowed his eyes.

As one of Austin's avatars, he had all his memories intact with him, so he immediately knew what they
looked like.

As soon as he saw the wizard, he already knew that he was the one responsible for singling him out.

'I knew it! This wizard sensed my aura. He probably knows that I am an avatar.

He is coming for me, '

Zander thought as his heart sank.



If only he wasn't just an avatar, but the real Austin, he wouldn't hesitate to fight the darkness race head
on.

However, Zander was only a level-ten governing god, so it was impossible for him take them out on his
own.

Both panicked and enraged, Zander shouted loudly, "Chloe, listen!

We have to go someplace farther than this space sea! They're running after us!"

The wizard took the lead. He made some complicated gestures with his hands and kept deducing their
victim's exact location. Dark runes flew out from his hands, seeped into space, and quietly wandered in
the direction of Zander.

He had the auras of Zander and Chloe locked. Wherever they went, the wizard knew.

Meanwhile, as the darkness race followed the duo, the Bright Moon Sect were also chasing after them.
