The three brothers of the ice source beast race, the water source beast, and the more than one
hundred monks were caught in fierce battle with the other puppets.
The puppets were quite a force to contend with. The opposing sides were evenly matched.
The puppets, in fact, numbered around the same as Austin's side.
'But my companions are all powerful gods of chaos.
They should be able to overcome these puppets soon enough,'
Austin thought to himself after a general survey of the battlefield, assured his side was in no real
danger.
Austin was well-aware of the fighting prowess of a god of chaos. He had encountered and fought with
many of them.
He knew what they were capable of when he saw them, so he was confident in his companions'
abilities.
"Austin, your array skills are amazing!"
Cayden called out with admiration, observing a puppet trapped in one of Austin's arrays even if Austin
himself was just standing still, hands clasped behind him calmly.
"It's more than that. Austin's arrays are terrifying!
If I ever harbored the delusion of defeating you,
that's definitely off the table now.
Use these array skills against me and I'm doomed!"
Anakin said, chuckling and shaking his head.
"You are, indeed, the best array expert I've ever met, Austin.
On these skills alone, you're bound to be a legend in the Absolute Space Sea!"
the old monk chimed in.
Austin just smiled at the flattery.
"Do you still need my help, though?" he teased his friends.
"Every little bit helps.
These puppets are tough, but they don't seem to have their own consciousness. It's getting really
boring dealing with them,"
Anakin admitted sheepishly.
"Alright then. Bait these puppets into gathering in one area, so I can trap them,"
Austin suggested.
"Roger that!"
his friends responded in unison.
They immediately drew themselves closer and closer together,
luring in the hundred-something puppets.
It wasn't long before they were densely packed in one area.
As soon as he saw this, Austin set up more than three hundreds arrays around them. In a moment, the
arrays had surrounded and trapped all the puppets.
The arrays' immense energy descended upon the puppets, making them feel crushed by its pressure.
The puppets' movements began to slow, as if being restricted.
They struggled desperately, roaring in frustration, but to no avail. They were inextricably captured.
Austin and his friends actually remained within the arrays.
But it didn't affect them in the same way. Austin had everything well under control.
They didn't stay long, however. "Let's go!"
Austin barked out to his companions shortly.
He then led the group through the arrays and got out of them.
Once they were out,
everyone turned around to watch the puppets struggling desperately.
"That's amazing!
More than a hundred gods of chaos trapped in just a snap. Austin, the fighting power you have now
has gone beyond anything imaginable!"
Anakin said, whistling in admiration.
"Remind me never to pick a fight with you,"
Cayden said, nudging Austin jokingly.
Austin just laughed at that.
He wouldn't admit it out loud to his friends,
but he was also quite proud with his current array level.
He was certain that at this rate, if he returned to the Absolute Space Sea, he already had what it took to
take on the darkness race and the Time Chamber Sect.
However, he also knew that he was still no match for the three Lords of Darkness.
After all, even the grandmaster of arrays himself had been seriously injured taking them on all at once.
'Just you wait and see!
I'll come back for you!'
Austin thought, clenching his fists and gnashing his teeth at the challenge that lay ahead.
Austin and his companions continued to climb up the divine mountain.
As they did, another hundred puppets rushed down the mountain, blocking their progress.
Their abilities were similar to those of the puppets earlier.
Austin employed the same strategy, unleashing arrays again to trap these puppets. That done, the
group continued to move forward.
But the encounter left Austin bothered.
'What kind of terrifying existence is there on this divine mountain that there are hundreds of puppets at
god of chaos strength here at their disposal?'
Austin slit his eyes warily as he looked up ahead.
It seemed he wasn't alone in those thoughts. "We need to be careful, Austin.
These puppets are only subordinates. There must be a very powerful master on this divine mountain.
And if they can so easily deploy two hundreds gods of chaos, I'm afraid you may have a hard time
defeating them even at your current level,"
Old Lady Meng cautioned.
"You may be in mortal danger.
If worse comes to worst,
choose to just escape.
Your life is much more important than the fruit of supreme enlightenment.
With your current level, you've gone beyond the power of ordinary gods of chaos anyway.
You are probably as strong now as the leaders of the Time Chamber Sect.
You can afford to take it slow and steady.
Moreover, even if you don't have the fruit of supreme enlightenment, you still have the Magical Polarity
Token.
So the chance of you breaking through is much higher than the other governing gods," she reminded
him gently.
Austin mulled on these words.
"I understand. But I made it this far. I can't give up now.
Not to worry, however. I shall be careful," he replied after a moment's pause.
Old Lady Meng nodded.
"Very well. I trust you already assessed the situation and would know best how to minimize the risks.
Just remember you are the penultimate successor of our reincarnation race.
It will be a great loss if something happens to you," she warned.
