At this point, the old man in the golden robe felt a chill run over his spine. It was like he had gotten
soaked in icy water during winter.
'Where did this young man come from?
I even didn't spot him from here. It doesn't make any sense. No one can escape my sharp eyes, ' he
thought.
"What... what are you? Are you a human or a ghost?"
'Is this young man a spirit of some sort?' It was the first idea that occurred to the golden-robed man.
It was common for the cultivators of Earth to be afraid of ghosts.
"How dare you attack my family and insult my mother?
Consider yourself a piece of dead meat. Tell me, which way you wish to die?"
Austin said impassively.
"What... what are you saying? Are you... Austin Lin?
Damn it!"
the man in the golden robe said as he gaped at Austin in utter shock.
He looked at the young man up and down and found that he looked exactly like that legendary Austin
himself.
The last time Austin came back to Earth, he broke into the Western Kingdom and fought with a divine
god that the Novel Court worshipped in Jerule.
However, the so-called divine god that he battled was just a divine god's spiritual soul.
Nonetheless, to the cultivators on Earth, even a divine god's spiritual soul was a supreme being. That
was why the Novel Court had worshiped him for such a long time.
Austin was fortune enough to have fought with their divine god and emerged unscathed.
The fight between Austin and that divine god's spiritual soul created quite a stir, not only in the Novel
Court, but also the martial arts world of the Western Kingdom and even the martial world on the Earth.
Until today, those martial artists on Earth still talked about Austin and considered him a role model and
a legend.
However, after that epic battle, Austin had suddenly disappeared from the Earth and had never been
seen again, as if he had vanished into thin air.
Because of his disappearance, the Novel Court spread the news that Austin was killed by their divine
god in that battle.
Only the senior members of the Novel Court knew that Austin was still alive and he had gone to
another world with their divine god.
The golden-robed man was a core member of the Novel Court, so he knew that Austin didn't die from
that battle.
Fast forward to today, Austin was now right before his eyes, and it shook him up and scared him to
death.
"Yes, I am Austin Lin. Now answer my question!"
Austin's eyes were indifferent and ruthless as he looked at the old man.
Although he didn't actually enjoy the act of killing for no reason, he was sure not to show mercy to
those who deserved to die.
Austin was not a ruthless killer, but he never hesitated taking people' lives when he had to. That was
his innate character.
Standing behind the lines, the people of the Novel Court had the nerve to hit his family and hurl
insulting remarks against his mother.
Because of this, Austin was determined to kill them all.
He couldn't completely vent his anger unless he finished them all off.
"Austin Lin! Didn't you go to another world? Why did you come back?
Remember, I'm one of the most powerful god's emissaries in the Western Kingdom. You'd better not do
anything stupid," the golden-robed elder warned.
After he recognized Austin, and took note of the murderous look in his eyes, the elder was scared to
death.
'He is a powerful being who is known to be able to fight a divine god.
I stand no chance against him, ' the golden-robed elder thought, fear creeping up his spine.
"Forget it. Let me help you," Austin said flatly.
He didn't want to waste any more time on the golden-robed elder.
Just then, two wisps of yellow light shot out from his eyes and came at the elder in golden robes.
The yellow light was no thicker a strand of hair and it was extremely difficult to spot with just the naked
eye.
It was made from the power of earth law, and was widely known to be vary fatal.
The two beams of yellow light fell on the old man's head.
In the next second, the old man in golden robes exploded with a puff and disappeared without a trace.
There wasn't even a blood mist that lingered in the air.
Although the two beams of light were barely noticeable, they were exceedingly heavy. Each one
weighed at least several million pounds.
Although the golden-robed elder was strong, there was no way that he could have survived it.
"Oh my god!
What just happened?
Where is the god's emissary?"
"What's going on with this young man? How did he get here? I think I've see him somewhere before.
Who the hell is this guy?"
The people of the Novel Court who were attacking the hill finally realized that something was wrong.
They turned back only to find Austin there and no one else.
"Oh my gosh! No way! Isn't that... Austin Lin?"
Finally, someone recognized him.
All those people of the Novel Court had Austin's portrait; that was why they were able to recognize him.
"Go to hell, all of you!" Austin said coldly.
When he spoke, he walked towards the small hill.
"It is indeed him! Austin Lin!
Oh my god! Austin is here!"
another member of the Novel Court shouted.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Austin glanced at the group of the Novel Court, and the two beams of yellow light shot out from his
eyes once more.
As with the golden-robed man, anyone who made eye contact with Austin exploded, varnishing into
thin air.
They were like bubbles breaking under the hot sun.
In less than a second, thousands of people from the Novel Court were killed. Worse, none of their
bodies could be found, as if they had never existed at all.
There was no survivor.
After that, the entire place fell dead silent.
It was so quiet that one could clearly hear the sound of a pin drop.
All by himself, Austin made his way up the peak.
"Oh my! I think I saw Austin...
I might be dreaming again..."
A scream came from the hill.
Tears welled up in Austin's eyes.
He drew an excited smile on his face.
"Honey, I think I see him too. Perhaps it's... really him."
Clement's voice could be heard from the top of the hill.
"You think? So do you see him or not? I've had enough of you. You are always like this.
You are making me even more confused than I should be,"
Austin's mother complained.
Hearing this, Austin couldn't hold back his tears anymore. His eyes welled up so much he could barely
see.
'When I was a child, father was henpecked. Mother often yelled at him for all trivial matters. His face
turned red due to embarrassment but he didn't dare to snap back. It was always like this, '
Austin recalled.
Austin looked at the three people who were standing on the hill and nervously staring at him. Suddenly,
he felt a warm surge in his heart.
They were his family, who meant the world to him.
On the hill, Austin's mother stared at Austin nervously and excitedly.
"Austin, is that really you?" she asked with uncertainty.
"Mom, it's really me! I'm back!"
Austin took a step forward and stood in front of his mother.
