"Are you going to take the creatures of the Sea of Chaos somewhere safe once you return?"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast curiously asked Austin.
"Yes, I intend to do so. The darkness race has already targeted the Sea of Chaos.
Their race is a force to be reckoned with. If they find the Sea of Chaos, they would definitely pillage and
plunder its entirety. Calamity would ensue.
Therefore, I have to transfer all the creatures in it before they find it,"
Austin answered. From his response, the chaotic sky-devouring beast could sense the concern from
his companion.
"Where are you going to take them?"
he asked again.
"For now, the best I can do is to transfer them to the human worlds inside my body.
After I find a suitable space sea in the future, or after I eliminate the darkness race, they will live a
prosperous and contented life."
It was an exhausting task for Austin, but the mere thought that this could all be over soon enough made
him breathe easy.
"This is the only way I could save them for now.
However, the darkness race is too powerful.
Annihilating their entire kind would be very difficult,"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast worriedly commented.
Austin clenched his fists. Of course, he knew how difficult it was to eradicate their entire race, but he
was determined to make it happen.
"I am the successor of the reincarnation race," he proudly stated. "I will wipe all of them out before I die.
I will never let them run rampant now that they're after the Sea of Chaos,"
Austin vowed through gritted teeth.
Everyone he held dear was in the Sea of Chaos. He would go at any length just to keep it protected.
He would never let anyone who dared to conquer it live.
Suddenly, the sky-devouring beast frowned―something was amiss.
He and Austin were discussing about their plans while they traveled in the Absolute Space Sea. The
sky-devouring beast interjected out of the blue, "Something is wrong. I seem to have been targeted!
It felt like the same thing you had when you were tethered to the wizard's black threads before!"
He was getting worried. He felt panic rose up in him.
"I can also feel a group of creatures tracking us down. They are getting closer and closer,"
Austin told his companion as he furrowed his brows.
"They are coming for us,"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast affirmed.
"They must be up to something,"
Austin icily remarked.
"They are most likely the masters of the darkness race. Let's speed up and try to get rid of them,"
he added after considering his options.
For Austin, the most important thing right now was to return to the Sea of Chaos as soon as possible
and transfer all the creatures in it.
Therefore, he had to avoid trouble at all costs―it would only delay his journey.
He and the chaotic sky-devouring beast both sped up.
At the same time, the wizard of the darkness race led the subordinates of Bartholomew to track Austin
and the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
"They are starting to speed up. They must have noticed us and are trying to escape,"
the wizard commented.
"Ha-ha! You want to escape, huh?
You can't evade us, you piece of shit! We're going after you no matter what,"
Bud sneered.
Then, he took out a strange-looking ship, which looked like a shuttle.
"Is this the Time Ship?"
At the sight of the vehicle, the wizard was a little surprised.
"Yes, Lord Bartholomew gave it to me to track Austin.
The Time Ship is a vital magic treasure of the Time Chamber Sect―only a handful of these exist. Only
the nine lords are qualified to own it. So you can see how much importance Lord Bartholomew attaches
to it,"
Bud bragged to his fellow.
Then, he, the wizard, and the other level-nine governing gods entered the Time Ship.
The ship trembled lightly and disappeared.
"Damn it!
They are quickly gaining on us!
How could they travel this fast?"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast informed Austin.
The wizard's black threads were tethered to his spiritual soul. Hence he could easily perceive their
position.
"It looks like we won't be able to escape them."
Austin scowled.
"We have another shot, though. I have the teleportation rune left by my master. If I activate it at a
critical moment, we should be able to leave safely.
Before that, I'd like to see who is tracking us first.
Let's wait for them here,"
Austin told the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
"You're right. They are moving too fast that it's practically impossible for us to escape their grasp.
It's best if we save our energy and just wait for them to arrive,"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast agreed.
"Good news!
That chaotic sky-devouring beast stopped moving. They might have realized that it was difficult to
escape, so there they just waited for their doom,"
the wizard briefed his companions and guffawed.
He wanted to find Austin as soon as possible and snatch the Magical Polarity Token, so that he could
give it to Bartholomew and get the Chaotic Compass in return.
"That's great!
Let's amp up our speed and catch up to them!"
Bud shared the wizard's excitement.
He was a level-nine governing god, and the Magical Polarity Token was a very tempting item for him.
Once he obtained the Magical Polarity Token, he would be able to greatly increase his chance of
becoming a god of chaos by comprehending it.
Taking that ultimate step and becoming a god of chaos was his ultimate goal.
The other level-nine governing gods held the same objective.
"I can't wait. If we can get the Magical Polarity Token, all of us will have the chance to become a god of
chaos!"
"At our current level, except making a breakthrough and becoming a god of chaos, there is nothing else
that can make us thrilled."
The level-nine governing gods discussed their plans among themselves. They had a tremendous air of
expectancy―they were already certain that they could take the Magical Polarity Token from Austin.
While they were talking excitedly, they were getting closer and closer to Austin and the chaotic sky-
devouring beast.
Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast were standing still and waiting for them.
Not long after, they saw a black ship from afar coming in their direction in a staggering speed.
As it went closer, the shuttle-like ship stopped in front of them.
"What kind of vehicle is this? It travels at lightning speed!"
Both Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast were astounded at the ship before them. It looked
odd, but it was a very efficient mode of travel.
Just as they were sizing up the ship, a dozen of creatures came down from the ship and approached
them smugly. They surrounded them.
"It's the wizard of the darkness race!"
Austin recognized him in a single glance.
He had fought with a wizard of the darkness race and killed him. Hence, he could immediately identify
his kind.
"Ha-ha, losers! Weren't you just trying to run away from us? Why don't you run now?"
Bud taunted. He looked at Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast with a playful look.
In his eyes, a level-three governing god and a young chaotic sky-devouring beast were nothing
compared to him.
