"What are these puppets made of? They're incredibly solid!"
Both Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast let out dejected sighs.
They were more than capable of crushing the bodies of ordinary governing gods with their current
strength. And yet, they had struck the black puppets hard but been unable to injure them in the
slightest, only sending them flying through the air.
It seemed they were much stronger than ordinary governing gods when it came to battling.
Right now, there were ten black puppets and their combined power was terrifying beyond belief!
Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast fought fiercely with them, and to their surprise, the puppets
were giving it all they had, determined to take their foes down with them.
Their bodies were so sturdy that even Austin could not break them. They could not be hurt or killed, but
they could kill others.
They roared and released a murderous aura as they fought, the aura penetrating into Austin and the
chaotic sky-devouring beast's Soul Seas, corroding their spiritual souls.
'These puppets were probably refined by the god of chaos. They're really tricky to deal with. The god of
chaos' methods are truly brilliant. These puppets are just as strong as governing gods!' Austin thought
to himself.
He was impressed while also being frustrated that he could not defeat them as easily as he'd hoped.
"Kill them!" bellowed the black puppets, full of killing intent.
They charged at Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast, attacking them relentlessly with all their
might.
But they were much stronger than these puppets, even if their bodies were unbelievably solid. They
fought back hard, beating them back and flinging them away again and again.
But it all seemed useless as they just kept coming back and rejoining the fight, just as invigorated as
before.
"They're just not getting hurt. When will this battle ever end?"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast said with exasperation.
"We're so much stronger, but we can't even leave a scratch on them!"
Austin said with a frown, feeling a little helpless.
"Let's just keep pushing on. We'll fight them off while we keep moving ahead!"
They then did just that, continuing their charge ahead while fighting the black puppets on their way.
But the puppets did not give up.
A moment later, things only got more trying for Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast as ten more
black puppets showed up, blocking their way in the middle of the corridor and staring at them
murderously.
Now they were faced with twenty black puppets.
"Kill them!"
There came the cry as the puppets ahead rushed at them.
At the same time, those behind them charged in as well.
The attacks piled on from both directions in a suffocating assault.
"Things don't look to be going too well. Even if we manage to defeat these ones, there's still more
waiting for us further up!
No matter how powerful we are, we'll never be able to defeat them all with just the two of us."
A hint of fear began flowing through the chaotic sky-devouring beast as he looked on at the black
puppets packed densely on both sides of the corridor. He didn't know how they would get out of this
one.
"We're definitely in a bit of trouble here!"
Austin said with a furrowed brow.
"They're so goddam annoying!"
he grumbled angrily.
He then summoned all his strength and let out his anger in a vicious punch, landing right on the chest
of the puppet before him.
An enormous shockwave of power struck the puppet clean and true.
The puppet was sent soaring backwards, tumbling through the air, eventually crashing out of the white
corridor and into the space outside.
Its eyes dimmed and the energy pressure coming from its body vanished in an instant as it closed its
eyes.
It then, curiously, flew back to the corridor and stood still on one side, no longer attacking.
"That's it! If we want to defeat them, we have to drive them out of the corridor!"
Austin yelled out in joyous surprise.
"You're right!"
The chaotic sky-devouring beast was overjoyed as well.
They had been striking them down and away constantly but had not tried blasting them out of the white
corridor.
The corridor was as wide as a continent. If Austin hadn't put all his physical strength into his last blow,
they would not have discovered the secret to their success.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's throw these pesky puppets out!"
With a deafening roar, the chaotic sky-devouring beast darted towards one black puppet.
He boasted infinite strength, and faced with his full blown attack, the puppet was immediately blown
back far off into the distance. Like a bullet firing out of the barrel, the puppet crashed out of the white
corridor and fell into the space outside.
Before long, the energy pressure coming from the puppet disappeared and it closed its eyes, just as
the last one had done.
It flew back in and stood to one side, motionless.
"We were right!"
The chaotic sky-devouring beast was ecstatic.
He and Austin kept the attack up, bounding towards the other puppets and launching them from the
corridor.
"Well then, let's move on!"
the chaotic sky-devouring beast said with his head held high, striding forward.
Figuring out that issue of these vile black puppets had filled them with confidence.
They continued on, fighting fiercely all the way, but with much more success.
However, frustration soon overtook them again. At the beginning there had been only ten puppets
attacking them at the same time, but now more and more were joining the fight and with every advance
they made, the number of puppets they came up against grew even more.
