Humphrey's vision pierced through the void as he attempted to search the depth of the Fallen Divine
Valley and investigate the situation.
However, some invisible, mysterious energy blocked his sight so he could not see as far se he wanted
to.
Half a day later,
Humphrey finally left with a long face and a gloomy heart.
It took all the strength he had to suppress his anger and remain calm.
Then,
in the Fallen Divine Valley.
"Huh,
Humphrey's finally left!"
Austin screamed, breathing a sigh of relief.
Humphrey had been outside for quite a while, making a ton of noise
and rattling the whole valley.
Fortunately, the valley's defenses were quite sturdy and could take it.
Humphrey was unable to break in.
"Austin, what is it you did to make Humphrey so angry?"
"His whole face turned a bright red from his rage."
"Also, he's been chasing you and asking you to return something to him. Did you steal something?"
The twelves zodiac animals were curious and all had their questions that they posed to Austin for
answers to.
"Yes, technically I stole something from him, but it's not actually his,"
Austin replied with a slight grin and a glint of mischief in his eyes.
"Oh, so what is this mysterious thing that you took from him?
Show it to us. It must be truly extraordinary to anger Humphrey to such a degree,"
the sky-devouring dog said, curious and intrigued.
"Fine, but first I have to ask the thing if it agrees to be shown or not. If it agrees, then I will show it to
you,"
Austin said smiling pleasantly.
"Oh, it's conscious? It's alive?"
This revelation had the twelve zodiac animals all a little stunned.
Austin communicated with the egg of the chaotic sky-devouring beast, discussing with it for a while.
To his surprise, the egg agreed to meet the zodiac animals.
Austin obliged and teleported the egg out of the human world.
"It's a massive chicken egg!"
the sky-devouring dog shouted the moment it laid eyes on the egg.
"Austin, is this the cause of Humphrey's intense anger?"
the black bull asked.
"What are you saying? How could that be a chicken egg?
Sometimes I doubt whether you possess any common sense."
The big rooster could tell at a glance that the egg in front of them was definitely not from a hen.
The zodiac animals were wrapped up in curiosity. They had been studying the egg a long while now
and still could not figure out what race it belonged to.
"Austin, stop being so secretive. Don't hold out on us. Tell us what kind of egg this is."
The sky-devouring dog was getting impatient and began pressing Austin.
"Even if I told you, you would not believe it. This is an egg from a chaotic sky-devouring beast,"
Austin said, smiling happily and beaming with pride.
"An egg of a chaotic sky-devouring beast!"
The twelve zodiac animals widened their eyes in stunned disbelief at Austin's words. They could not
come to terms with that being true.
Chaotic sky-devouring beasts were extremely rare.
It was nothing short of incredible that Austin had managed to find one and bring it back.
"You've got to be kidding.
How is this possible?
There are so few sky-devouring beasts out there. How on earth did you find an egg of one?
I just can't believe this."
The tiger shook its head with incredulity.
"I didn't find the egg. Humphrey did.
I followed him closely, being careful to stay hidden so that he did not know, and stole the egg from him,"
Austin said with a pleased smile. He was clearly impressed with himself.
"Of course, why didn't I think of that? Humphrey has the body of a chaotic sky-devouring beast.
Which means he would have already known where to find the eggs.
So it's true then. This really is the egg of a chaotic sky-devouring beast!"
the sky-devouring dog said, scratching its head with astonishment drawn on its face.
"Believe me, this egg is the real deal,"
Austin responded.
"Well, I have to go now. I'm going to take it to my master for him to have a look at."
Austin took the egg and headed for the depths of the Fallen Divine Valley.
After only a moment, he had arrived at the big square.
He carefully and gently placed the egg in front of the statue.
"Good job, Austin. You actually managed to bring this egg back!" praised the statue master.
He seemed to already know everything that had taken place as well as everything about the object
before him.
"Master, this egg feels a little weak to me,
so I brought it here for you to examine,"
Austin responded respectfully.
"Humphrey tortured this egg for a long time. It has lost a lot of energy. Naturally, it's quite weak
because of this,"
the statue master replied.
"As it turns out, he was trying to refine this egg before I showed up.
The egg had resisted his efforts the entire time, not budging. It's little surprise it has lost so much
energy.
No wonder it looks so weak now.
Master, do you have any way to help it to a speedy recovery?"
Austin asked hopefully.
He then continued before he even got a reply, "How badly damaged is the egg? Is it still possible for it
to hatch?
I have had it with me all this time and it really felt as though it was only getting weaker and weaker."
There was clear concern in his voice.
"Okay, let me have a look before I say anything,"
the statue master said calmly.
A beam of energy then shot out of the statue and shone on the egg of the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
A while later, he finally spoke.
"It has indeed lost a lot of energy.
But, there is still hope it may yet hatch.
Why don't you leave it here with me?
Allow me to help it recover its energy.
If the egg hatches, you will have someone to assist you in dealing with Humphrey when the time
comes.
The body of the chaotic sky-devouring beast that Humphrey has obtained is incomplete,
because the beast's consciousness was wiped out by him, leaving only an empty shell, which
Humphrey took for himself.
But he did not and would never inherit all the talents and abilities of the sky-devouring beast race when
he did so.
Because of this, the body he's made his own is unable to display its true potential in his hands.
This egg is different; it has the will of a real, complete chaotic sky-devouring beast.
As long as it hatches, its strength will be far beyond that of the one Humphrey has inhabited.
Austin, if you want to defeat him, it starts with the beast that will be born from this egg,"
the statue master explained.
"Master, you're right.
Why didn't I think of that?
Please help the egg to recover its energy and let it hatch as soon as possible. I could use an ally
against Humphrey."
Austin was both surprised and excited to hear the statue master's words of wisdom and advice.
"Okay, put it here. You may leave now.
I will inform you once I've helped it recover,"
the statue master said.
"I'll take my leave then, master. I'm going to cultivate in seclusion for a while."
With that, Austin nodded and left the square.
