Overjoyed, Austin immediately set out and arrived at the big square in the depths of Fallen Divine
Valley.
He looked over and saw the egg of the chaotic sky-devouring beast shaking violently. Boundless
energy surged in the surrounding space, making it ominous.
Compared to its last state, there were more cracks in the eggs now.
Moreover, Austin could feel the life inside the egg―it was about to hatch!
"Prepare yourself. The chaotic sky-devouring beast will be born in a couple of days.
During this time, you have to communicate with it through your spiritual sense so it could gradually
recognize you before it comes out to the world,"
the statue master advised.
"I understand, master." Austin nodded.
Then, as soon as his master notified him of his duty, Austin approached the egg and sat cross-legged
in front of it. Slowly releasing his spiritual sense, he perceived the egg, and regarded every intricate
detail it had.
However, when Austin's spiritual sense reached the inner portion of the egg, strong repulsive force
overwhelmed him,
effectively pushing him out.
Obviously, the creature inside the egg was volatile and capricious; it was highly alert of its
surroundings. Hence, instead of forcibly introducing himself to the beast, Austin patiently waited. It took
him an ample amount of time before he tried it again. However, he was still met with a strong repulsive
force.
Austin understood that the chaotic sky-devouring beast could not accept him immediately. It would
definitely take some time.
He had to take it slow. Every once in a while, Austin would try to enter the egg with his spiritual sense.
On the first day, his attempts were futile. A repelling force kept on pushing him away, but Austin was
unyielding―it would take more than this to make him surrender.
As time went by, the energy around the egg became more and more violent, and the cracks in its shell
were gradually increasing.
Streaks of dazzling light suddenly spurted out from the inside of the egg. It was splendid and blinding.
As the beast's hatch came closer and closer, Austin clearly felt that his spiritual sense was better
received this time. The chaotic sky-devouring beast was still rejecting him, but it was significantly lesser
than his first attempts.
Much to Austin's delight, the creature even allowed his spiritual sense to stay inside the egg for a while.
Now that he could perceive the beast better, he could now familiarize himself with its features. From
what Austin sensed, there was a seemingly small and meek beast inside.
He had encountered a chaotic sky-devouring beast before. At first glance, he could tell that the little
beast inside the egg was a smaller version of the one he had met.
Still using his spiritual sense, Austin tried to pet the little beast. Unsurprisingly, the creature dodged―it
was still vigilant to its environment.
But after ten more careful attempts, the beast finally acknowledged him.
It took him some time, but in the end, he could slowly touch the little beast without meeting any
resistance. When Austin's spiritual sense felt its body, the creature squinted its eyes as if enjoying the
warm, loving stroke.
Austin was thrilled, knowing that the little beast finally accepted him.
"That's a good sign. When it comes out of its shell and you're the first person it sees,
it will treat you as its closest person."
The statue master smiled.
Three days later, the energy around the egg became more and more violent, surging like collapsing
mountains and towering tsunamis.
The eggshell was covered with cracks as thick as finger. Thousands of dazzling rays were pouring
between the cracks.
Finally, the moment came.
"This chaotic sky-devouring beast is about to break out of its shell,"
the statue master observed.
The aura coming from inside the egg skyrocketed by tenfold―it was extremely powerful.
Then, with a loud bang, it completely exploded.
Pieces of the eggshell splattered in all directions.
Quick on his feet, Austin used the space and time law to set up an array to protect his body.
When all of the eggshell had been blown away, the little beast appeared in front of Austin.
It was roughly the size of an ordinary tiger.
The legendary chaotic sky-devouring beast had come out of its shell!
As soon as it set foot in the outside world, it immediately skimmed its surroundings.
Then, its eyes fell on Austin―the connection between them was instantaneous.
All the labor and patience Austin poured upon introducing himself to the legendary beast bore fruit.
It immediately recognized Austin from his spiritual sense. The instant it saw him, it walked towards him.
This unexpected gesture surprised Austin.
Upon reaching Austin, akin to a docile kitten, the beast stretched out its head and nudged Austin to pet
its head.
Perhaps, it considered him as its closest family member. Austin stretched out his hand and stroked the
head of the beast that nestled between his arms.
An intimate relationship between him and the beast was established.
"From now on, this chaotic sky-devouring beast will only recognize you as its family,"
the statue master said, softly smiling at the warm picture.
"Its physical conditions are unstable because it just recently hatched.
You can stay with it in this square for a longer time.
The arrays I set up can provide it with all the sustenance it needs,"
the statue master offered.
"Yes. Thank you, master," Austin gratefully answered.
In the following days,
Austin and the chaotic sky-devouring beast stayed in the square.
He found that this newly born beast was like a human child in some ways―it was playful, curious, and
spirited.
It ran and zoomed inside the square, inspecting everything new to its eyes. Its inquisitive mind itched to
try each and every novel item it came across.
However, unlike any other average child, the chaotic sky-devouring beast's body was different―it grew
way too fast.
In just a span of two hours, numerous physical changes had already taken place in its body.
Slowly, the docile and meek aura on its body began to disappear, and it was transforming into a violent
and terrifying aura.
This was the nature of the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
Moreover, Austin noticed that whenever the beast opened its mouth, it could easily devour a huge
chunk of space and time in front of it.
This was an innate talent of the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
After a few days of nurturing the beast, its body had already increased tenfold.
In comparison, Austin barely reached the knee of the majestic creature.
Although, much to his surprise, he found that the chaotic sky-devouring beast could freely control its
size. It could grow to the size of a giant or reduce itself to as minute as a mouse. Austin knew that the
big arrays set up by the statue master could absorb a steady flow of energy from the distant space and
time, which was beneficial for the creature's growth.
Hence, Austin stayed inside the square with the beast for more than half a year.
About eight months later, Austin felt that the conditions of the beast began to stabilize.
It didn't change every two hours anymore.
"Go on, young man. Take it out for a walk.
The chaotic sky-devouring beast has to absorb the energy essence of various worlds in order to grow
faster.
If you can, it would be great for it to explore the Absolute Space Sea.
It would reap this little one numerous benefits if it were to wander there,"
the statue master suggested.
"I see," Austin replied.
Then, he left the square with the chaotic sky-devouring beast.
Not long after they left the square, the twelve zodiac animals appeared. They halted Austin and the
chaotic sky-devouring beast in their tracks.
The twelve zodiac animals had already known the birth of this chaotic sky-devouring beast and were
very curious.
They patiently waited so they could have the opportunity to study it
thoroughly.
