"You imbecile!
How dare you address me in a disrespectful manner, huh?"
the flood dragon accused madly. It stared straight into Austin's eyes, threatening him.
Although it couldn't perceive Austin's real strength, it could infer that this person in front of it was very
young. In fact, the flood dragon was much older than him.
For the longest time, it had stayed in this small world.
It irked the dragon that someone would just talk it down in a commanding tone.
Then, suddenly, a sound of dragging iron was heard.
A black chain rolled up and shot towards Austin.
"I see.
These magic chains are used to imprison you.
Despite your bounds, you have made yourself stronger. As long as you keep this up, the array and the
chains will eventually get weaker. And ultimately, you can control them,"
Austin stated as he inspected the magical chains further. The flood dragon widened its eyes.
"Hmm, it looks like you will be able to break the array soon. Unfortunately for you, you met me before it
happened,"
Austin taunted. He had a smug look on his face.
"H-how did you know that?"
The flood dragon felt a surge of rage and surprise.
It was unable to hold back its emotions because Austin's statements were accurate.
The sound of the iron being dragged resounded once more.
The flood dragon summoned the chains and aiming for Austin's chest.
However, Austin was able to halt it in its tracks.
"Freeze!" he boomed. A strong surge of space and time fixed the black chain in midair, motionless.
Austin had already bested numerous semi-governing gods with his attacks. Indeed, it would take effect
on a warrior at the Divine Realm.
With his current cultivation base, it would only take an ounce of aura to shatter a creature at the Divine
Realm into pieces.
"What?! H-how?!
How did you do that?"
The flood dragon was startled.
"How powerful are you? Tell me!"
the flood dragon snapped, gritting its teeth.
It still couldn't believe that such a young man was even stronger than itself.
It was at the Divine Realm. At this level, it could be considered a strong master even in the outer
space, let alone on the Earth.
The flood dragon was livid with this revelation.
Dozens of black chains, carrying terrifying energy, came towards Austin.
Black dragons danced across the sky, ferociously baring their fangs and brandishing their claws. It was
an incredible and terrifying sight to behold.
The entirety of the small world shook in the intensity it brought.
The waters were surging, and huge waves rolled up that they could reach the skies.
"You will meet your maker today, brat!"
the flood dragon shouted at Austin with a murderous look.
"Freeze,"
Austin calmly commanded.
Then, upon his order,
time and space stopped.
The dragon-like ebony chains were suspended in the air. They couldn't even budge an inch.
Even the waves, and everything the world held halted along with the chains.
Time, space, air, and everything else had fallen into a stagnant state.
"Y-you! You... What kind of power do you have?"
The flood dragon was frightened. It still had a hard time adjusting to this whole phenomenon. It was
heavily disoriented due to fright and confusion.
It finally realized that the young man in front of it was more powerful than it was—way, way, powerful.
It was far from being a match for him. The difference between their capabilities were light-years away.
"Divine gods. You are all divine gods!"
It finally dawned on the flood dragon with who it was dealing with. It collapsed helplessly on the ground.
It was at the Divine Realm. Only the divine gods could defeat it.
'Oh my!
Thirteen divine gods!
What's the purpose of their visit in this small world?
Wait.
Are they going to kill me?'
The thoughts inside the flood dragon spiraled. The more it tried to figure things out, the more it became
terrified. Beads of sweat trickled down its forehead.
"P-please spare my life!
Sirs, please forgive my insolence! I did not know my place."
The flood dragon began to beg for mercy.
Realizing who it was dealing with, its will to fight vanished.
"Answer my questions!
If I'm satisfied, I won't kill you,"
Austin coldly spat.
"Thank you so much!
Don't worry, sir.
I will tell you whatever you want to know,"
the flood dragon respectfully answered, careful not to offend the powerful being before it.
"Who are you? Why are you imprisoned in this small world?"
Austin asked.
"I was once a young talent of the flood dragon race during the ancient times.
One day, I came to the Earth for fun.
I accidentally broke into this small world and was caught by its master.
Unfortunately, he had evil intentions.
Hence, he imprisoned me here and ordered me to guard this small world.
He left me here,
but he never came back for me.
I have been alone in this small world for a very long time,"
the flood dragon despondently answered.
"Oh?
What exactly did that old man ask you to guard?
Tell me the truth! Don't you dare hide anything from me!"
Austin ordered.
"Underneath the sea, a huge gate is concealed.
That old man taught me some spells, secret techniques of drawing runes, and millions of small array
flags.
Once a movement is felt from the gate,
I will immediately cast the spells, draw the spiritual energy of heaven and earth to write runes on the
gate, and insert a small array flag into it.
I have been preserving the gate for years and years through this method.
This is all I do,"
the flood dragon answered honestly.
"Oh?
That's it? You're supposed to guard a gate?"
Austin exchanged eye contact with twelve zodiac animals. They were a little surprised. Surely, this gate
was important.
"Hmm, why don't we go and see that gate?"
Curious, the sky-devouring dog offered.
"Yes, I think we should."
Austin nodded.
Then, he and the twelve zodiac animals plunged all the way to the bottom of the sea.
"Hey, please don't..."
the flood dragon trailed off. It seemed that it wanted to stop them.
However, Austin and the twelve zodiac animals merely shrugged off its pleas and went straight down.
"Well,
breaking that gate could be beneficial for me, too.
As soon as they do, I can regain my freedom!"
the flood dragon contemplated loudly. Either way, this would work on its favor.
Over the years, it had been trapped here because of that gate, and it had long been tired of it.
Austin and his companions were its ticket to freedom.
"The flood dragon wasn't lying. There is a gate!"
Austin exclaimed as soon as they reached the bottom of the sea.
There was a gate standing on a flat ground at the bottom of the sea. Divine radiance encapsulated its
entirety, and it shone brightly.
"This gate looks a little similar to the palace door in the Divine Tomb.
Could it be that..."
the black bull questioned in suspicion.
"You are right.
They look quite similar.
Maybe this gate is connected to the Absolute Space Sea,"
the sky-devouring dog speculated.
"So there is also a gate connected to the Absolute Space Sea on the Earth? It's unbelievable!"
Austin was astonished by this information. He got even more excited to discover what secrets the gate
held.
