"What do you mean the ghost race has only one member?
That's impossible!"
the fire source beast exclaimed as the old man finished his story.
With his own eyes, he had witnessed Austin murder countless creatures from the ghost race. The fact
that there was only a single member made no sense.
He had always thought of the ghost race as a large race with numerous members, but now the old man
was telling him the opposite and it was against everything he had always believed.
"It's true. The ghost race has only one member. The members you saw before were all his avatars,"
the old man explained patiently.
"Look over there. This is the only member of the ghost race. In fact, the ghost race is not a race. It's a
creature.
That's him,"
the old man continued, pointing directly at the man wearing white.
"Still, he is not to be underestimated. He has destroyed many races in his time.
All the members of the ghost race were created using the consciousness and emotions of the creatures
he killed.
In the past, he could make all the creatures he crossed tremble with fear.
You must have heard of the darkness race, right?
Back then, when this man went past the headquarters of the darkness race, Yahir made all the
members of his race kneel down and beg for mercy.
For some unknown reason, that man let the darkness race go without punishment.
Otherwise, the darkness race might not exist in the Absolute Space Sea,"
the old man explained.
"That's unbelievable!"
Austin exclaimed. He had learned that the man wearing white had been so powerful back in the day
that even Yahir from the darkness race had kneeled and begged for his life.
As he looked at the man wearing white, Austin was shocked to his core.
'His strength is much more terrifying than I originally thought. No wonder I can't escape from him.
He is much stronger than me,'
Austin thought, shaking his head and smiling bitterly.
The whole purpose of Austin and the fire source beast heading deep into this space was to avoid the
leaders of the Time Chamber Sect.
They never thought that they would encounter something even more horrible here.
"That makes sense.
He is too powerful
for Austin to get away from him,"
the fire source beast said as he recovered from his shock.
"Hold on. Then why are you still here, sir?"
the fire source beast asked suddenly, turning to face the old man.
"This is the ancestral land of our race. I have to stay here to guard it.
If I were to leave, bad things would happen.
Just now, I felt your aura, so I had to come and check it out.
My assumption was right. I've finally met a clansman,"
the old man said with a smile.
"But the man in white is so powerful. Is it safe for you to stay here?"
the fire source beast asked.
"You are right. He is very powerful.
For years, he has been trying to defeat me but he can't hurt me.
There's no need to worry,"
the old man answered.
"Okay."
A feeling of relief spread over the fire source beast when the old man reassured him.
If the man wearing white couldn't harm the old man, it meant that the old man's strength was extremely
terrifying.
Austin was also shocked when he heard the old man's words. Since meeting him, Austin had sensed
that the old man was complex, but he did not expect that he would be this powerful.
"Okay. Let's go now,"
the old man said after a moment of silence.
"You can take your clansman away, but I want this young man. You can't take him with you,"
the man wearing white objected.
"This young man wanted to save my clansman. He has moved me. In a sense, he is now the
benefactor of our race. I won't let you hurt him. I will take him away whenever I please,"
the old man replied, shooting a sharp look at the man wearing white.
"No. I need him more than you do,"
the man wearing white insisted, shaking his head.
In his eyes, Austin was a potential threat to him.
He would stand on this hill for as long as he needed to as long as it meant that Austin couldn't escape.
In his eyes, turning Austin as his avatar would make himself more powerful.
"But I must take him away."
The old man crossed his arms over his chest and glared at the man wearing white.
He had also noticed Austin's talent and wanted him to continue improving so he could kill the man
wearing white in the future.
The man in white was a deadly enemy of the fire source beast race and he needed Austin's help to
destroy him, so he had to protect Austin with all his strength.
The man wearing white said nothing
and neither did the old man.
They stared at each other for a long time.
Finally, the old man looked away.
"Let's go,"
he said to Austin and the fire source beast. Then he turned around and began walking.
"Okay."
Austin and the fire source beast walked beside him.
"Young man, you'd better stay here,"
the man wearing white threatened, chasing after them.
As he did so, space and time energy burst out from his body in tremendous amounts and flew at Austin
from all directions.
Then, all the members of the ghost race that were in the hell charged at him.
Their screams swept over him like raging waves during a tsunami.
Soon, Austin, the fire source beast, and the old man were surrounded.
"Do you think your avatars can stop us from leaving?"
the old man asked, sneering.
As soon as he finished speaking, the red flame above his head exploded with a bang.
A terrifying flame erupted into the air and fell onto the ground like a sea of red fire, burning towards the
members of the ghost race.
The power of the sea of red fire was terrifying. Austin could feel the heat of it all around him.
Wherever the sea of red fire went, the members of the ghost race were burned into ashes.
In a moment, many of them had been killed.
The old man continued to walk forward with Austin and the fire source beast. The fire did not affect
them.
However, the battle wasn't over. Because there were so many members of the ghost race in this hell,
soon, more of them rushed into the sea of red fire to attack Austin and the other two.
To Austin's surprise, the red fire was so horrible that it burned them all within seconds of them touching
it.
