“I’ll look like what you want me to look like.” Xu Baohan smiled as he moved closer to her. His hands were placed on the shoe cabinet, surrounding her in the middle. His voice was so deep that it was electrifying. “I’m hungry…”

It was just three simple words. An Lan felt that her thoughts might have been a little off. “Where… Where are you hungry?”

“I’m going to cook.” An Lan braced herself to push him away and slipped into the kitchen.
Xu Baohan looked at her disheveled figure and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
Since Xu Baohan had already cut the vegetables and prepared the rice, An Lan fried the vegetables very quickly. A dish of sponge gourd prawn soup, dried pot cauliflower, and sweet and sour fish made Xu Baohan eat two bowls of rice in a row.
“So it turns out that eating at home with someone you like is the real home-cooked food,” Xu Baohan sighed from the bottom of his heart.
“It’s not bad. The shop at the entrance of your court is also alright.” An Lan was not as sentimental as he was. She only felt that two people eating at home was much more interesting than eating alone. In the past, she would not be able to finish the few dishes that she cooked. “An Lan, let’s go on a trip,” Xu Baohan suddenly said. “How about going to Yunnan this season?”
An Lan glanced at his neck. “You’re already in this state, yet you still want to go on a trip to the highlands. The doctor said that you have a concussion, alright? By then, don’t tell me you feel nauseous and dizzy again. Also, you forgot you need to go to the hospital for a checkup every three days.”
Xu Baohan was devastated, his handsome face ashen. “I was just thinking about how rare it was for me to get some rest. Besides, it’s quite boring for you to stay at home with me every day. If it’s really impossible, then let’s go take a walk around the neighborhood.”
An Lan rested her chin on her hand and thought for a moment. “Isn’t there an ancient town nearby? It’s two hours away on the high-speed train. Why don’t we go there?”
Xu Baohan agreed readily.
In the afternoon, they did their homework, booked a hotel and bought tickets for the high-speed train. The next morning, the two of them took the high-speed train to the ancient town.
The ancient town was surrounded by water. The buildings of the Ming and Qing dynasties were built along the river. It was the weekend and the streets were bustling with activity.
The two of them first checked into a historical courtyard house. The house was next to a small river, and the rooms were simple but clean. The decorations were exquisite, there was an open-air balcony on the second floor where they could bask in the sun and drink tea.
“The room you booked is not bad, it’s quite unique.” An Lan pushed open the window to look at the river outside.
Xu Baohan hugged her from behind. “Of course, if I don’t book a good room for our first trip, what if you don’t come out with me in the future?”
An Lan took a deep breath and leaned against him as she walked out. She felt an indescribable peace in her heart. Although she had just stayed in Europe for a period of time, the feeling of being alone and being with two people was still a little different.
In the afternoon, the two of them went shopping and ate. One moment, they ate a bowl of tofu pudding together. The next moment, they ate a bowl of stinky tofu.
