Those were three simple words, yet Nian Xi froze when she heard them.
She turned around and met his strongly passionate eyes. She stared at him for a while in an attempt to imprint his face in her mind, so that time would not wear off their feelings for each other. “I’ll wait for you,” she said.

At 10:00 a.m, after some dawdling, Jiang Yuning went into the elevator with Nian Xi when all of a sudden, his body trembled violently. “F*ck!” he cursed.
“What’s wrong?” Nian Xi asked in shock and subconsciously leaned closer towards the walls of the elevator. “Is there something wrong with the elevator again?”
Jiang Yuning seemed deathly pale as he said, “No, I…”
“I thought it was something serious,” Nian Xi muttered as she rolled her eyes. “No way can that happen so easily!”
“You can’t be certain!” Jiang Yuning replied with a serious expression on his face. “You’re healthy, and I don’t usually smoke or drink, so I don’t have any health issues either. Maybe it’s easier for such a thing to happen to us.”
