Chapter 1025: Quit staring at her so intently
“Miss Ji is already very rich. Why do you still have to work so hard?” Yan Su smiled. They only had a short amount of time that afternoon and most of the group was resting in their own rooms.
Ji Nuanyi smiled. “There’s never too much money to be had. I love watching my fortune grow in my bank account. I like to count my money from time to time.”

Alright, she hadn’t expected a gorgeous superstar like her to be so obsessed with money. She also hadn’t expected her to be so forthright about it, yet she didn’t find it off-putting. She thought that she was very straightforward and cute.
“I was quite poor when I was a kid. Now, I have a habit of making money,” Ji Nuanyi explained.
Yan Su nodded her head. “It’s a good habit.”
“I think so.”

To be frank, Yan Su didn’t understand that kind of feeling. She had always been privileged while growing up. That was the reason she didn’t understand Shi Xiang.
“But… is money really that important?” Yan Su couldn’t help but ask. “There are many people out there who act unscrupulously to earn money…”
“I think that money is very important, but I don’t agree with people who go to extreme extents to get it. I don’t approve of people who break the law, sell their friends out, or sell themselves out for money. I like earning money through my own hard work; every hard-earned cent gives me satisfaction. I’m also happy spending my own money,” Ji Nuanyi said, smiling.
Yan Su was stunned. She remembered Luosang calling Ji Nuanyi a workaholic.
It wasn’t so much of a lack of affinity. They had been brought up under different circumstances which led to them having different perspectives.
Ji Nuanyi was someone who had been poor and chose to stand by their values.
Shi Xiang was someone who had been poor but chose to give up his values.
She felt liberated in an instance.
“Miss Ji, thank you so much. It has been gratifying having this conversation with you.” Yan Su smiled at her.
Ji Nuanyi was lost. “Um… you shouldn’t become a money-grubber like me.”
They walked into the banquet hall together as Mo Liuxi walked over to meet them. “What are you two chatting about?”
Ji Nuanyi gave him a side glance and grunted before walking away without saying a word. She looked upset with him.
“What did I do to her?” Mo Liuxi looked over to Yan Su.
Yan Su didn’t know if she was imagining things, but she felt like Mo Liuxi was looking at her intently. She suddenly didn’t know what to do with herself and blushed. She stammered, “You have some cheek to ask. You asked her to come discuss her role but you wasted ten whole minutes of her time. She had other things to attend to as well, and you messed up her schedule.”
“Oh really?”
Mo Liuxi nodded before continuing. “My bad, I just thought that Shi Xiang was standing too close to you in the lift. I needed an excuse to squeeze in so I started that conversation with her. I wouldn’t be interested in talking to women otherwise. You know how I’m like… I’m quite the jealous type.”

She didn’t know how he was like. She didn’t know at all.
She was already blushing. She just wanted him to quit staring at her so intently.
Jiaojiao, who was standing beside her, wished that she could disappear.
She was still standing there. Did they have to be so cheesy in front of her? They were in the banquet hall, after all, surrounded by people.
Mr. Mo, can’t you just hold yourself back and quit staring?
