She recalled that he had used his hand to cushion her impact… If he hadn’t protected her head, she would have been injured quite badly. Why did he do that? No matter what, she couldn’t erase her disgust for him.
“I only shoved her lightly. I didn’t see the oncoming vehicle. You should argue with that driver back there,” Shui Chang screamed in fear.
Luo Sang turned to look at the car. It had pulled over for a short while but drove away quickly after that. The driver didn’t even get out to apologize.
“You said that you were going to kill me just now.”
“I was just trying to scare you. You ruined me, after all.” Shui Chang was on the verge of tears. “Not only did you spread those photos of me online, you even photoshopped my face onto adult videos. There are screenshots of those printed in the classroom. How can I live with myself now? I hate you.”
“I had nothing to do with those clips. Think about how many people you’ve offended. They are just having their shot at revenge,” Luo Sang said coldly. “Nobody ever forced you to do those things. You acted indecently of your own free will. There’s no one to blame but yourself. You’re having a taste of your own medicine after spreading all those vile rumors about me. I’ll let you off this time, but I’m warning you to stay away from me. Don’t blame me if things get uglier.” She picked up her books that had scattered on the ground and turned to leave.
Yi Jingxi squinted at her. The woman in front of him looked extremely unfamiliar. She used to be innocent and lively. Now, she was harsh and cold.
“That’s all? Aren’t you afraid that she’ll seek you out again?” Yi Jingxi caught up with her.
Luo Sang ignored him and picked up her pace.
“Xu Luo Sang, don’t forget that I saved you earlier.” Yi Jingxi grabbed her wrist and hurt was reflected in his eyes.
Luo Sang looked at his hand. It was covered in fresh blood. Yi Jingxi didn’t seem bothered by his wounds at all. He was focused intently on her face.
“What are you playing at?” Luo Sang looked at him with disgust. “I can’t bring myself to be grateful to you after all you’ve done to hurt me. I can’t even bring myself to say thanks.” She made a futile attempt to free her hand.
She continued to warn him angrily, “Let go of me. Nian Junting is my boyfriend. He won’t go easy on you if he finds out about this.”
“He won’t, for sure. I was going to purchase the Yuxi corporation, but Nian Junting bought a majority of the company shares.” Yi Jingxi chuckled sarcastically. “He made use of his connections with the Media and Communications Authority to bar my productions from public distribution. He has also been spreading negative rumors about me in the industry. Don’t think I’m so easy to take down.”
Luo Sang couldn’t be bothered to entertain him and kept trying to free her hand. “If you don’t let go of me now, I’m going to call Junting.”
“Junting, Junting. Is he all you see now?” Yi Jingxi pulled her close to him suddenly. His hand was bleeding more now, staining Luo Sang’s hand as well.
“Wasn’t it enough that day in Shanghai?” Yi Jingxi looked down at her and said sorrowfully, “Luo Sang, leave him. I won’t ever bother you again. If you enjoy voice acting, go ahead, I won’t stop you anymore. If you need anything, I’ll provide it for you, just don’t be with Nian Junting anymore.”
Luo Sang was stunned. She felt like she was hallucinating. “Why should I listen to you? Are you crazy? I’ll have nothing to do you with now.”
