Chapter 1369: My Brother Is Around…
Yan Jin shook his head and said thoughtfully, “I’m not convinced by this reason.”
Mo Liuxi looked at this dude’s cute little face and couldn’t help wondering what Yan Su’s father looked like. If his son behaved like this, imagine what he was like–like father, like son.
“Well, actually, I’m younger than your sister.” Mo Liuxi didn’t want to tell the truth either, but Yan Jin left him with no choice.
“Oh my God!” Yan Jin’s round eyes were opened wide. “I couldn’t tell,” he said.
“Yes. Because I look older, I’m more mature,” Mo Liuxi was rather pleased with his retort.
“No, no.” Yan Jin was shaking his head, vigorously. “Are you going to date my sister who is older than you? I can tell you in a straightforward manner that you are too young.”
Mo Liuxi, “…”
He wanted to toss him out on his ear for his impertinence.
Yan Su swallowed her water quickly and interrupted their conversation, “Jin, stop being silly. Try your yogurt drink. It’s good.”
“I need to be your watchman,” Yan Jin said thoughtfully. “Ma said I’m a man and have to protect you. You were hurt in the past because I wasn’t around yet.”
Yan Su was touched by his heroic declaration but didn’t feel like talking. Mo Liuxi stood up and said, “I’ll be right back. I’m going to the washroom.”
He needed some time to simmer down. He had a feeling a long, drawn-out battle was ahead of him.
When Mo Liuxi got up, Yan Su looked down at Yan Jin and said seriously, “Promise me you’ll stay out of these adult matters, okay? You’re starting to make us uncomfortable. Besides, you’re only three. You just need to take care of yourself. Don’t worry about me.”
“Fine.” Yan Jin shrugged his shoulders and crossed his arms in frustration. In that case, he would just observe the situation if his sister was too uncomfortable.
…
Ten minutes later, Mo Liuxi returned from the washroom and sat back down. Yan Jin was chatting about animation films with him now, “Let’s play, guess the character. Do you know the name of Peppa’s brother?”
Mo Liuxi, “…Nope. I don’t know. You tell me.”
Yan Jin shrugged his shoulders at Yan Su. “You guys go ahead. I don’t know what else to talk to him about. He has too little knowledge.”
Yan Su, “…”
A minute later, she received a text message from Mo Liuxi–“Are you sure you’re buying me dinner to thank me and not to punish me?”
Feeling helpless, Yan Su shot him a glance and typed–‘My brother thinks you’re courting me.’
Mo Liuxi looked at her text and rubbed his hair. It took him a minute before he replied–‘I understand now. He thinks you’re bringing me home to meet the family.’
Yan Su looked at his reply. Phew! The room was starting to get warmer. Even though it was cold outside, it was hot in here.
Mo Liuxi grinned when he saw how much she was blushing. He texted her again–‘Wrap some Peking duck for me later.”
Yan Su had a headache–‘My brother is around…’
Mo Liuxi replied–‘I don’t care.’
He put down his phone and looked at her innocently.
When the Peking duck was served, Yan Jin started swinging his legs excitedly, “Sister, make a wrap for me! I want one.”
Yan Su looked at Mo Liuxi and started making Yan Jin a wrap. Mo Liuxi began to create one at the same time, and he quickly finished it and handed it over to Yan Jin.
“I don’t want yours,” Yan Jin snarled.
“I’m sorry. Then you’ll have to make one yourself. The one your sister is making is mine.” Mo Liuxi took the wrap from Yan Su and stuffed it into his mouth.
Yan Jin was annoyed, “I can’t believe you said you weren’t interested in my sister just now.”
“Did I say that?” Mo Liuxi asked.
