Chapter 1365: I Shan’t Refuse Then, Since You’ve Extended the Invitation Yourself
Mo Liuxi, “…”
He was taken aback. “Is that what you’re thinking about nowadays? Since when do you have such dirty thoughts?”
Yan Su said nothing.
She wanted to knock her head against the wall. Yeah, since when did she have such dirty thoughts?
“Maybe… because I’ve been too tired recently, I haven’t been resting well…” Yan Su stuttered. It was a slip of the tongue, and she tried to defend herself.
“So, you’re saying whatever comes to your mind?” Mo Liuxi was grinning now.
Yan Su, “…”
Her attempts were futile at this point.
“What do you want? I’m going to go.” she just wanted to escape the situation.
Mo Liuxi turned his body and stuck out his foot to block her path instead. “I’ helped you several times in Venice, and I’ve helped you keep your secret. Don’t you think you should show me some gratitude?”
Yan Su was angry. She blurted out again, “What’s there to thank? I’ve let you drink milk a couple of times, haven’t I?”
Mo Liuxi, “…”
He cleared this throat. He was a little flustered now, no matter how thick-skinned he was. “Yan Su, you…”
Yan Su was shocked at what she had just said and quickly covered her mouth. She must be exhausted.
“Um… I have a headache.” Yan Su rubbed her temples gently and said, “I just ended the competition last night. I was so excited about winning first place that I didn’t get much sleep.”
Mo Liuxi was quiet. He was still staring at her.
Yan Su finally admitted defeat, and she said weakly, “How about I buy you dinner?”
“I thought you said you had something on tonight?” Mo Liuxi grunted.
“I’m picking someone up, and then we can have dinner together,” Yan Su said.
“Male or female?” Mo Liuxi looked displeased. He didn’t like the idea of someone else intruding on them.
“Neither.” Yan Su hesitated before explaining further, “It’s my brother.”
“You have a brother?” Mo Liuxi was surprised.
“Yeah.”
“All right. I won’t refuse then since you’ve extended the invitation yourself. I’ll make a compromise.” He put his hands in his pockets and walked away.
Yan Su watched him from the back, and she was amused. He just had to have the last word. She shouldn’t have invited him, after all.
When they were in the parking lot, Mo Liuxi said, “Wait here for me. We can take my car.”
Yan Su was shocked. “You have a car here in Beijing too?”
“I borrowed it from a friend.”
After Mo Liuxi left to get his car, Yan Su called Jiaojiao to tell her to return to the hotel first. Five minutes later, a silver BMW pulled up in front of her, and Yan Su looked at the car. It wasn’t a flashy sports car, not in Beijing. At least, the windows were heavily tinted.
She sat in the passenger seat and said to Mo Liuxi, “Drive to the Capital Museum.”
Mo Liuxi started the car without saying anything.
On their way there, Mo Liuxi asked, “Have you made any reservations?”
“Nope, we’ll see where my brother wants to go.”
Mo Liuxi was a little upset. She was supposed to treat him to dinner. Why didn’t she ask for his opinion?
…
Yan Su hesitated for a moment and finally said, “Oh right. If my dad comes, can you tell him you’re my chauffeur?”
“…”
Mo Liuxi glared at her in disbelief. “You didn’t tell me your father would be coming along too.”
“My dad won’t be joining us. He’ll be having dinner with his old classmates, but he might be walking my brother out later,” Yan Su said innocently. “My dad is very wary and hostile toward the men around me.”
