The man outside remained silent for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed with a deep voice and said, “Yeah? My dog used to be a police dog, so he wouldn’t bark for no reason. He barked because something suspicious is in there. You better show your face, or I’ll call security.”
Something suspicious?
‘Which part of me is suspicious? I bet the dog has something wrong with its nose,’ thought Luosang, ‘How unlucky am I? I’m hiding in the toilet, but still, a crazy dog detected me.’
Based on what the dog owner said, he was a guest of the club instead of a security guard. ‘Forget it, if he asks about why I’m in the men’s room later, I’ll tell him that I’m a transgender and that I can only use the men’s room.’
She took a deep breath, then opened the door of her stall.
Before she could see who was out there, a giant black and white dog pounced on her. She was so frightened that her entire body tightened. She thought that she would be bitten by the dog, but instead, the dog sprung into her arms and licked her face with excitement.
Luosang felt her legs relax. The dog was gigantic, but she was shocked by how friendly he was. However, she noticed that the dog looked a little familiar.
The man outside yanked the dog’s leash while yelling, “Xiaosi, come over here. What are you doing? I know you want to fall in love, but she’s a human, not a dog.”
The dog seemed very obedient to him. He howled and let himself be dragged to the side, but didn’t stop happily wagging his tail to Luosang.
Luosang caught her breath and looked at the man outside. He was tall and strong, his brown Gucci suit emphasized his perfect body shape, and matched with a dark-colored shirt underneath. It seemed that he was a bit tipsy after some drinks, as his shirt collar buttons were undone, and his jacket was unbuttoned. He was standing under the warm light of the retro-styled washroom, occupying the whole space with his charming vibe.
Seeing his face, Luosang paused in shock.
Nian Junting.
She would have never thought that he’d be the one standing outside the stall she was hiding in. No wonder his voice sounded familiar.
And the dog was named Xiaosi. Was it the same Xiaosi? She hadn’t seen Xiaosi in eight months, but he had already become so much chubbier than before.
She curiously looked at Xiaosi who was now squatting in a corner. She wasn’t afraid of him anymore, but found him rather adorable.
Her side profile was stunning. Her eyes were halfway drooped, and her eyelashes looked like butterfly wings, leaving a series of beautiful shadows under the lamplight. Looking at her face, Nian Junting found it indescribably familiar.
He frowned, stared at her from head to toe. He always had a good memory. He could tell for sure that he had met her before, but couldn’t recall where or when. Yet, he had no explanation to forget such a beautiful woman, even though he wasn’t an amorous man.
“Who are you? Why are you hiding in the men’s room?” shouted Nian Junting as he took a step forward and pinched her chin to turn her face to him. He gazed straight at her, looked at her pink, cherry-like lips and her dark but bright eyes.
His heart flipped as her name escaped his mouth, “Luosang…”
After saying that, he regretted it. He had doubted Luosang could become so pretty. He thought that he could be mistaken, because there were so many women in the world who looked alike.
As he prepared to apologize, Luosang smiled sheepishly and said, “Mr. Nian, long time no see.”
“Are you really Luosang?” said Nian Junting with surprise. Suddenly, the look in his face turned weird.
He put down his hand, then began looking at her up and down as if he was a scanner.
She was wearing a black dress that made her skin looked as beautiful as jade. Her body was beautifully shaped, and her hair was slightly curled while hanging loosely over her shoulder. She seemed so mysterious, bright, and beautiful.
