“Oh right, since you’re not going for dinner tonight, you have to go for a film industry meeting in the afternoon. It will last until about six in the evening. Nian Junting looked grumpy after hearing that. “Are you pushing your work responsibilities onto me again? I remember that I put you in charge of matters relating to film and media.”
“Isn’t this for the sake of Sang entering the entertainment industry? You can’t just wash your hands of this once she gets pregnant,” Xiao Si smiled sheepishly. “Look, I have been running around for the business these last couple of days…”
“You only went to Shanghai and Beijing,” Nian Junting looked at him with sarcasm, “Because Ji Nuanyi was going to be there too.”

Xiao Si glared at him. “She’s a workaholic, the company did arrange for her to be at the meeting but she had projects that she was working on. She didn’t turn up at all, too busy filming.”
“She can do that?”
Xiao Si sighed. “She told me that her goal was to win an Oscar within the next two years. Director Wen is filming an old society drama and she is participating in the project. She’s dressing as a villager and she comes to the meetings in those set costumes as well. Frankly, she looks a little crazy, she said it was method acting and her breath smells of garlic.”

Nian Junting was turning on the leather chair, he looked sympathetically at him. “I thought she was an idol, so the Oscars wouldn’t notice her?”
“I thought so too, I thought she was pretty decent amongst the younger actresses. I guess she wants to be known for her acting skills.”
“… All the best to you.” Nian Junting could only offer his condolences.
Before Xiao Si left, he said, “Pay attention at the meeting today, the film and media industry is doing pretty well at the moment. There are many hot movies and television dramas. There are going to be a lot of directors, producers, and scriptwriters at the meeting today, they will be analyzing the data and presenting a projection of the industry growth. Most of the major film companies will be there as well.”

Around two in the afternoon, Nian Junting was on his way to Hu Zhuang. Hu Zhuang was an old town close to Xia City, its surroundings peaceful and serene. Several major film meetings were held there nowadays. Yuxi was only bought over by Nian Junting last year, so it was his first time at such a meeting. There weren’t any celebrities or reporters at the event, Nian Junting signed on the guest list and walked into the venue.
“Mr. Nian, I didn’t think you would make the trip down yourself today.”
The organizer, Mr. Chai, walked over to welcome him.
“Mr. Xiao has some personal business to attend to,” Nian Junting added.
“Please take a seat, you’re in the first row.” Mr. Chai showed him further in. “There are quite a number of people here. The CEO of Chengxing, chairman of the Rongying Holdings board of directors and the new director of Luoxi films.”
“Luoxi?” Nian Junting looked over.
“I’m referring to the Yi Group; they have just changed their name to Luoxi.”
Mr. Chai remarked, “Yi Group was all the craze last year at this time, especially when the film resort and villa opened. There were over a dozen CEOs who went down to congratulate their success. Yi Jingxi has already lost his competitive edge after only a short year, he can’t even be considered top 10 anymore.”
Nian Junting listened to him nonchalantly.
