Chapter 1200: Aren’t You Worried that You Might Lose the Baby?
Luosang blinked, turned and said to Nian Junting, “I think Su’s acting weird.”
Nian Junting was switching channels with the remote control. “A lot of people don’t like durian,” he said.
“But she liked it before,” Luosang said. “Oh, Liuxi, why didn’t you say hi to Su? You guys haven’t seen each other in a long time, right?”
“We rarely talk to each now that she moved away.” Mo Liuxi lowered his head and shoved a huge piece of cake in his mouth.
“I understand.” Luosang nodded. “You need to keep in touch with people to maintain your friendship with them. But you can’t just ignore her. You should be polite.”
“She didn’t say hi to me either, did she?” said Mo Liuxi indifferently.
Luosang wasn’t sure what to make of that.
Seven or eight minutes later, Yan Su came out of the bathroom. Luosang thought her face looked paler than ever.
Before she said another word, Yan Su apologized, “Sangsang, I’m sorry. I was going to stay longer, but my company called me just now. They want me there. I think there’s a problem with the music arrangements we made this morning. They want to talk to me about it.”
“So soon?” Luosang said with disappointment. “I was going to invite you to stay here for the night.”
“Thanks, but no. I can’t.” Yan Su hugged her and said, “I’ll see you when I get back.”
“Bye, call me.” Luosang stood up. “Your van should be by the door, right? I’ll walk you out.”
Nian Junting abruptly stopped her and said, “What if Apple gets hungry while you’re gone? What if I miss you? Let Liuxi walk her out.”
Luosang shot him a weird look.
So dramatic! I’m only going to walk her to the door. Why didn’t you say that your son might die without me?
“You don’t need to walk me out.” Hearing Nian Junting’s words, Yan Su quickly walked toward the door.
“Go.” Nian Junting glanced at Mo Liuxi coldly. “You’re only here to deliver the cake. I think you’re leaving soon. Yan Su is your sister’s best friend. From here to the courtyard entrance is very dangerous. Your sister would eat me alive if anything bad happened to her.”
Mo Liuxi raised his eyebrows. He was liking his brother-in-law more recently. “You think I want to stay?” he said.
After saying that, he coldly stood up and walked toward Yan Su.
Luosang looked at Nian Junting angrily and said, “Liuxi is my brother. Why did you make it sound like he’s not welcome here? Aren’t you ashamed? From here to the courtyard entrance is dangerous? What’s so dangerous in our yard? Tell me.”
Nian Junting looked at her with a grievance. His wife didn’t understand him at all.
“Xiaosi is the biggest danger. I’m worried he might attack strangers. He might scare Yan Su.”
“Nonsense.” Luosang refused to talk to him again.
Nian Junting sighed.
It felt awful trying to do something good while nobody appreciated him.
…
Yan Su walked in the yard, which was paved with cobblestones. The night was quiet. She heard footsteps coming toward her from behind.
She wanted to move faster so she wouldn’t have to face him.
“Yan Su, stop,” Mo Liuxi called her coldly. “Don’t walk so fast. Aren’t you afraid you might trip and lose your baby?”
Yan Su was trembling. She felt as if her brain had exploded at that very moment. Quite a while later, she stopped walking and slowly turned to him and said, “How… how did you know?”
Mo Liuxi smiled frostily and said, “You spent a whole night with Shi Xiang. Getting pregnant is a normal thing for you. You lied to my sister about going to the United States to study, but I know you’re going somewhere to have the baby. You even lied to your best friend. You’re too ashamed to tell her the truth, aren’t you? You don’t want her to know that you’re that kind of woman. Am I right?”
