When they arrived at the grilled fish shop, Yan Su fished out her phone and saw the text message that Mo Liuxi sent, “Your electric current passed all the way through my heart.”
Yan Su nearly chocked on the milk tea that she was sipping on.
She was blushing after reading the text message.
Mo Liuxi looked up from the menu, he looked at her and said, “Senior Yan, what are you reading? Why are you blushing so red?”
Luosang turned to look at her and Yan Su quickly kept her phone. She looked so guilty that Luosang was suspicious and grabbed her, “Do you have a new boyfriend?”
“No,” Yan Su shook her head.
Luosang was concerned and whispered to her, “Are you back together with Shi Xiang?”
“Nope,” Yan Su shook her head but Luosang didn’t believe her and kept staring at her.
“I’m really not lying to you,” Yan Su swore.
Luosang whispered again, “I’m not saying that you can’t get back together with him, it’s your affair anyway. I’m just concerned as your good friend, I don’t want you to get hurt again. But if you really can’t move past him and if you still love him, I’ll support whatever decision you make. I want you to be happy.”
“Hmm, I know, we won’t get back together,” Yan Su shook her head firmly.
‘What are you two talking about,” Mo Liuxi interrupted them, “Let’s order a grilled fish, less spicy version. You are pregnant, you shouldn’t eat anything too spicy.”
“Alright, you’re my brother, your call.”
The service was a little slow and the voices of the two women filled the room. Mo Liuxi didn’t talk much, he was concentrating on peeling the sunflower seeds.
He was peeling the seeds without eating them and Luosang asked, “Why are you saving the flesh?”
“I want to save it and eat it all in one go,” Mo Liuxi replied casually.
Luosang thought that her brother might be bored so she started stalking to him, “You said you saw Xiao Si a few days ago…”
“Yeah, Ji Nuanyi and Shi Xiang are in boot camp for the new project,” Mo Liuxi said.
Yan Su’s eyes flickered, Luosang asked, “Shi Xiang is in Xia City now as well?”
Mo Liuxi nodded his head, he thought that Luosang was still bothered about that time when his assistant bullied her and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll give him a difficult time on set later, I won’t make things easy for him.”
“Forget it, I won’t have anything to do with him anymore,” Luosang was worried that Yan Su might be hurt and uncomfortable and quickly changed the subject.
When the fish was served, Yan Su and Luosang had a good time enjoying the food. Luosang was pregnant and she needed to pee often, she went to the washroom every now and then and Yan Su followed her along. Yan Su laughed, “Your brother looks too cold, I’m too intimidated to spend time alone with him.”
“He doesn’t bite, I thought you said your relationship with him now is less tense than before?” Luosang asked.
Yan Su continued to lie, “I just think we don’t have much to talk about.”
Luosang didn’t push her further.
When they were about done, Luosang suddenly recalled something and asked Yan Su, “I thought you said you were moving at the start of next year, it’s already November now, has the company mentioned anything to you yet?”
Mo Liuxi tightened his grip on his chopsticks. Yan Su replied, “Yeah, they found a place close to the company. I’m not planning to stay there for long either, I’m going to buy an apartment here in Xia City and settle in.”
“Sounds good, Xia City is pretty nice. Let me and Junting know when you’re planning to purchase a house, he has many friends, maybe we can get a friendship discount or something.”
