Chapter 1058: It Felt Nice
She never thought this would happen, but it felt nice to be with him. She decided to enjoy the happy time she was having now. No one was able to predict the future.
She knew what kind of a person Shi Xiang was. She shouldn’t shut herself off for a person like that.
She couldn’t sleep, so she got up from bed to write lyrics until 5 a.m. Around 8:30 a.m., she was awoken by the sound of knocking.
Yan Su hurriedly put on a coat and answered the door. Mo Liuxi was standing at the door with breakfast. Seeing her with messy clothing and hair, he paused slightly in surprise and smiled.
“I overslept,” she said while rubbing her eyes. She felt a little embarrassed.
Mo Liuxi walked in and put the breakfast on the table. He reached out a hand to pull her coat and said, “You wore it inside out.”
Yan Su glanced at the coat and found that he was right. “I’ll get changed in the room.”
“Hurry up. Your class starts at 9,” Mo Liuxi said. “It’ll take you more than 10 minutes to walk to school.”
Yan Su quickly changed and washed her face. When she came out of the room, Mo Liuxi had already poured the warm milk into a to-go cup.
“Take it and drink it on your way,” he said as he handed her the cup.
Yan Su glanced at his injured arm and felt a little guilty. He was injured, yet he still prepared breakfast for her.
“What about you?” she asked.
“I have time,” he said. “My class starts at 11.”
“I envy you,” Yan Su said before rushing to the TV cabinet to look for her books.
Mo Liuxi held up her bag and handed it to her. “All the books you’ll need are in here, along with your phone and keys.”
Yan Su looked at the bag with surprise and asked, “How do you know which class I have?”
“Your book schedule is on your shoe cabinet. I prepared your books while you were changing clothes.” Mo Liuxi turned his lips corners slightly up, which emitted a suffocating charm.
Yan Su was in a daze until he put the bag into her hands. When she walked out of the elevator with warm milk and delicious Hong Kong style breakfast, she still felt like she was in a dream.
Shi Xu used to bring her breakfast back in high school, but that was always simple soy milk and fried bread sticks. Now, her school bag was prepared, the milk was warm, and the breakfast was rich and nice. All she had to do by herself was to walk to school.
It felt nice.
…
By the time she arrived at school, half of her breakfast was still untouched. She shared the food with Fan Jing.
Fan Jing couldn’t stop sighing while eating it. “Su, did your assistant buy you breakfast? This is so good.”
“No.” Yan Su shook her head.
“Stop joking. You couldn’t possibly have bought this yourself,” Fan Jing said with surprise. “I bet you don’t know that people have to wait in line at 5 a.m. for breakfast from Yiji. That place is super popular.”
“That’s impossible.” Yan Su didn’t believe it. “It’s just breakfast.”
“It’s real.” Fan Jing waved a hand and said, “I heard that the owner of Yiji gets up at 3 a.m. to prepare the food. His food is so popular that it’s always sold out once he opens up in the morning. So, they don’t serve food during other times of the day. No wonder it’s so popular. This is really good. Don’t you think so?”
Yan Su remained silent. She had been in a rush to get to school, so she didn’t pay attention to the food. She suddenly regretted sharing it with someone else.
“Plus, Yiji is about five miles away from us,” Fan Jing said. “You would need to leave home before 4 a.m. to buy this.”
