The two arrived at the Shen Group without further problems. When employees saw how Wang Zhuyin dressed differently from the one she was wearing that morning, they started spreading speculations on what had happened.
Lu Xinyi buried her hands back to her side pocket after pushing the button for the top floor. She assumed that with Wang Zhuyi having a content smile plastered on her face, it should be easy now for Shen Xue to close the deal with CEO Wang.
She and Wang Zhuyi stepped into the floor and made way back to the conference room. They found the two men they left earlier still conversing with each other.
“Oh, you are back! Did the two of you have lunch already?” Shen Xue’s face lit up when he saw his Big Sis with Wang Zhuyin. He also noticed the sudden change in Miss Wang’s clothes.
Lu Xinyi nodded. “Yes, we have.”
“What happened to your clothes? Did something happen?” CEO Wang asked his daughter. He then gave Lu Xinyi a suspicious look as if he was saying she’d done something to Wang Zhuyi.
“Dad, calm down. Indeed, something has happened, but it isn’t Brother Fei’s fault.” Wang Zhuyi sat down beside her father, trying to convince him to relax for a bit. “I spilled my coffee when I tripped inside the coffee shop. It’s a good thing that it didn’t seep through my clothes. Brother Fei was kind enough to lend me some clothes to use,” she confessed.
“Zhu’er, I told you before you have to be careful, or you might hurt yourself. Look what happened to you?” The old man chastised her.
“I know, Dad. I’m sorry. I’ll be careful next time.”

Lu Xinyi spent another time with the three, but she’d this feeling that something ominous was about to happen. Why was her husband not replying to her messages? Shen Xue’s voice, as well as the Wangs, was tuned down as she thought of all the possibilities.
Shen Xue had successfully convinced the CEO Wang to sign the deal, and his voice was filled with such joy that he’d forgotten about his brother. When the door pushed open, the two didn’t even dare to look who arrived and continued with their business.
“So Brother Feiran is here.” That cold and dangerous voice instantly made Shen Xue shut up. The sudden drop of the temperature within the room had made Shen Xue trembled on his seat.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
The demon had found out his plans!
He slowly stood up to greet his brother when Shen Yi suddenly sat beside his Big Sis, forcing her to move at the other end of the couch. Shen Yi sat with crossed legs, with his head tilted to his left to stare at Lu Xinyi who was caught off-guard from his sudden invasion of her private space.
She was utterly dumbfounded seeing her husband sitting beside her. She could only stare back at his handsome face in shock.
“W-what are you doing here?” she whispered.
“Should I be the one asking you that question, wife?” Shen Yi whispered back.
“Uh…” Lu Xinyi was speechless. How should she answer him then? He was aware of her pseudonym, too.
“Bro, I didn’t know you finished early.” Shen Xue said, but he was ignored by Shen Yi.
Shen Xue found himself speechless once more from being ignored by his own brother. The first person he regarded was his wife? Suddenly, Shen Xue realized that tragedy had just fallen on him. His brother wouldn’t leave him alone unscathed.
“Because I heard Brother Feiran paid us a visit. How can I just waste the opportunity to meet him?” Shen Yi said, his attention fully focused on his wife.
“Ah, President Shen, I thought I wouldn’t be able to meet you personally.” CEO Wang greeted, making the Shen aware of their presence.
Shen Yi turned his head to the old man and regarded him.
“CEO Wang, I hope my brother and Brother Fei didn’t give you problems,” Shen Yi replied.
The old man laughed.
“No, they didn’t. Even though if I may be bold to say, we truly enjoyed their company today, especially my daughter.”
Wang Zhuyi gave President Shen a slight bow of her head.
“Brother Fei has been good to me. My 21st Birthday will be held next month. I hope Brother Fei wouldn’t mind accepting my invitation.”
“I’ll bring him with me then.” Shen Yi nodded decisively. He exchanged knowing looks with Shen Xue before looking at the girl sitting across him and his wife.
Lu Xinyi threw a glare on her brother-in-law. What now?
‘Don’t look at me, Big Sis. I also don’t know how to deal with him.’
Shen Yi took the lead of the conversation with CEO Wang until it was time for them to leave.
“It was nice meeting you this time, President Shen. Thank you for considering partnering with us.” CEO Wang shook Shen Yi’s hand.
“I should be the one who should say thanks for the patience and understanding you’ve given my brother.”
While they were busy talking, Wang Zhuyi walked towards Lu Xinyi and Shen Xue was talking lowly. Were they arguing? When both of them saw her coming their way, Shen Xue somehow conceded and patted Lu Xinyi’s shoulder.
“Brother Fei, I just want to thank you again…”
“Miss Wang, don’t mention it. I enjoyed the day with you.” Lu Xinyi said with her manly voice.
“So… are you going?”
“Going?” Lu Xinyi furrowed her brows.
“On my birthday.”
Lu Xinyi scratched her messy hair. Shen Yi had already agreed, but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t come with a price. With the way her husband looking at her, Lu Xinyi could tell that she wouldn’t like it.
“I cannot promise anything, Miss Wang. You see, I’m attending school, and my schedule will be very hectic soon. It is just that I cannot say no to Second Master Shen that I am here today.” Lu Xinyi answered truthfully. She didn’t want to give Wang Zhuyi false hope that she would be there on her birthday.
“Ohh…”
Wang Zhuyi understood then that she couldn’t keep the man all to herself. Just like President Shen, Lu Feiran was something she couldn’t have even how much she wanted to.
“It’s alright, Brother Fei. I understand.” She thanked him again for his time and left with his father.
Shen Xue, on the other hand, was thinking what would be his punishment for today. He hadn’t thought that his brother would find out soon. He was worried that Shen Yi would take back his newest baby for forcing his Big Sis to pretend as a man.
But hey! Who would have thought that Lu Xinyi as a man had better charm than him and his brother? It was weird at first. He thought he was imagining things that Wang Zhuyi was blushing because of his Big Sis, but when the two came back, the woman was really smitten by his sister-in-law!
How cruel? She wouldn’t even spare him a look but kept her eyes on his Big Sis! Could it be these women didn’t find his earth-shattering charm attractive that Wang Zhuyi found Lu Xinyi’s charisma irresistible?
As this kind of thoughts filled his mind, Shen Xue was oblivious that his older brother walking towards him with a predatory look in his eyes. Lu Xinyi had long anticipated that her husband would make a move after the Wangs left the room.
“So tell me, little brother, why is my wife here, dressed as a man?” Shen Yi voice was calm but with underlying meaning. He then ran the back of his hand on his wife’s face, enjoying the warmth and smoothness of her skin.
“Lu Feiran, huh? Say, my lovely wife, did you enjoy your little date with Miss Wang? You look so cool playing as a hero earlier.”
Lu Xinyi opened her mouth to explain, but a realization dawned on her.
“How did you know about that?”
Her husband knew about her little escapade with Wang Zhuyi and the incident at the cafe. Did this mean that Shen Yi had been following her all this time?!
All thoughts vanished and were replaced with fear and panic. Shen Xue could feel his pulse pounding in his temples. His breathing became rapid and shallow. It was a relief that he wasn’t alone with his brother, and he had seated himself back on the couch. Both of his legs were shaking, and he was afraid to make a fool out of himself.
