A day passed.
But in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace, ten days passed.
At this moment, Shirley suddenly appeared inside her room where she had kept her inheritance ring. Her aura was more refined and sharper than ever before. Rubbing the tip of her nose coolly, she walked out of her room and made her way to the ground floor.
However, she was stunned to see two regal women standing in front of her. Their curves were gracious, and their elegance knew no bounds. Both of them radiated a hidden kind of danger, but their regal outlook couldn't be hidden.
"And here I thought I was becoming stronger than my big sisters. I'm envious now."
Shirley placed a hand on her waist and smirked at Evelynn and Isabella. The latter two smiled at each other before they grabbed hands and unleashed their aura together at Shirley. The two of them radiated an immense might that crashed down on Shirley, causing her to feel that her prowess had been affected ever so lightly.
She couldn't imagine what would happen if they used their mountainous Empress Aura suppression to magical beasts of similar nature or even to her when they stepped into the Immortal Stage.
At this moment, not even Level One Immortal inner disciples of the Aurora Cloud Gate would be comparable to them in battle prowess, more or less.
Shirley was utterly proud of her sisters as she smiled deeply. She walked up to them, suppressing them back with her aura. It instantly crashed their Empress's aura and suppressed them, causing them to feel constricted before it disappeared.
Evelynn and Isabella couldn't help but giggle. As expected, all three of them were overly competitive. Just before Shirley had come, they had battled with their auras as well. After solidifying their aura, they had only stepped out a few days later after looking at the happenings in the Nurturing Life Formation.
"Where are you going, sisters?"
Shirley asked once she was in front of them, causing Evelynn to respond.
"We're going to the Divergent Peak to break through to the Immortal Stage."
"Oh, that's excellent." Shirley grinned as she was pleasantly surprised. That meant their blood transfusion was a success, which meant Freya and Master Lea could also undergo the same process again.
Nonetheless, they all knew what the Divergent Peak was as it was where Myria and Ellia underwent their tribulation, and Shirley also knew why they had to head there to cross their tribulations. It was because they had been infected with Davis's karmic burden.
They had taken it upon themselves to lower his karmic burden by a slight portion when they had held the spirit formation Myria made for him, after all. They couldn't be openly summoning their tribulations here. Otherwise, their Destructive Heavenly Tribulation would attract a lot of unwanted attention.
However, Shirley also learned that it was just temporary. The karmic burden from them was no longer a burden once they reached the Immortal Stage, and she figured that their Destructive Heavenly Tribulation would disappear if given enough time as they weren't true Divergents or anything of the two threats.
After all, they all didn't quite well fit into the category of Tranquil Divergents or Anarchic Divergents. They were even lesser, something between a normal person and a Divergent, a passive Divergent that had their fates influenced by higher-tier Divergents like Tranquil Divergents and Anarchic Divergents.
In their case, it was undoubtedly Davis, an Anarchic Divergent, who was changing their destinies. They understood this at an intrinsical level and weren't afraid to be together with him despite countless people trying to separate them.
Soon, Ellia came over and took Evelynn and Isabella away. Shirley wanted to have Ellia by her side but still knew that she couldn't be picky before teleporting out of the palace.
On the way, she got Nadia's doppelganger to accompany her so she wasn't afraid of danger while bringing Schleya with her for more security and perhaps fun.
It was time for her to rise up to the challenge as she had told Egon Zenflame to appear at the same exact time as yesterday, so she was on her way to the Proving Grounds to keep her end of the bargain.
If she didn't show up, then that meant her defeat, and if she was defeated, she would have to swallow the other party's demands. There was no way she was going to let them take advantage of her.
"..."
The moment Shirley arrived before the floating island, she was slightly disoriented to see the hundreds and thousands of immortals gathered at this time of the day, the surface shining from the gleam of the moonlight. It was even more than the last time, having likely gathered to watch her performance. However, she didn't get frightened or anything but was even more excited about it.
However, taking the first step into the Proving Grounds, she came to realize that the people weren't talking about her but about someone else.
Raising her head, she noticed the commotion on the True Disciple Rankings - Immortal with a wry smile on her face.
"This big sister is also up to her own thing..."
She saw that Myria's ranking had stepped into the seven hundred from the thousand. It seemed like she had already completed some sect mission or two in one day, causing her name to resound far and wide.
But on the other hand, she couldn't help but feel sorry for Ellia for dragging her down. She felt Ellia was truly devoted to Davis as she even went as far as to take care of them instead of following Myria for quick benefits, causing her to feel more thankful to her.
She felt she must do something special for Ellia one day, just like she wished to treat Esvele better for being there for her, listening to all her words.
"So you're here, Young Inheritor."
Suddenly hearing Egon Zenflame's voice, she almost grunted in annoyance as she was woken out of her girl group fantasies.
Shirley turned to look at him with her veiled expression, her eyes remaining sharp, "Have you brought the challenger?"
Egon Zenflame smiled gently as though he didn't have any animosity towards her as he gestured, "Please follow me."
Shirley slightly harrumphed and followed his trail leading to the central area, whereupon she saw a group of people with different colored attires waiting for her. However, they all seemed to have one thing in common, and that was they exuded phoenix auras.
"So this is the Everlasting Phoenix Alliance..."
Shirley's eyes brightened as she sensed the aura of an Ice Phoenix and another phoenix-like aura that she hadn't ever sensed before but wanted to hurriedly familiarize their auras as it felt quite exotic to her.
She knew a bit about the powers existing in the First Haven World, so from the innate attribute in their differing auras, she could guess that they were none other than immortals from the Light Phoenix Clan, Dark Phoenix Clan, Wind Phoenix Clan, and the Golden Phoenix Clan!
But at this moment, her heart couldn't help but shudder as she turned around, her gaze falling on a fiery crimson-robed woman who was watching her with the same eyes.
"Fire Phoenix Mm-"
Shirley almost uttered the word 'Mistress' in respect as her gaze shook, recognizing that it was none other than Flamerose, the Immortal Beast who gave her her Immortal Inheritance!
