Chapter 3651 Loot or Gift?
"…"
Evelynn looked at Rea Tyriel before casting a glance at the pill.
This was a pill that would surely make people do the worst things they wouldn't have imagined of doing in the slightest, so she could understand why Rea Tyriel would be hesitant to give it away that she might be even willing to throw her life away.
Perhaps the only reason Rea Tyriel was hesitant to fight back to death was because she didn't want to offend Davis, not because she was afraid of him, but afraid that he would hate her.
Although she claimed that she loved Black Tyriel, one's first love could rarely be forgotten.
Evelynn didn't think it counted as first love, but she thought it was extremely difficult to forget a man as talented and caring as Davis. Everyone knew he was a womanizer but also extremely protective, something that all women hoped to possess as that marked an achievement.
If he didn't have the Divergent status, then the number of women fighting for his attention would cross millions, although it wouldn't reach the height of a Celestial Fairy. Then again, unlike a Celestial Fairy, once taken, millions of men would leave the courting pool, but for a married man, the courting pool only grew as women wanted to be a part of the man's glorified life.
It wasn't looked down upon to get married to a man who was with wives already, after all. It was only looked upon to get used and thrown away, so marriage was an important factor, to attain official status and be respected.
Evelynn rolled the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill around her palm as she thought about Davis for some time with a smile on her face. It hadn't even been a day, yet she missed him already. She wouldn't feel this kind of longing for him if she stayed home and cultivated or looked after the children, but after leaving for some time, she wanted to return already.
"Thank you. This would make a good gift to him."
Evelynn threw it into her sleeve and stood up as she genuinely smiled behind her veil. She saw that Rea Tyriel was incensed, so she shook her head.
"Trust me. When I said thank you, I meant it. I will deliver this to him as your gift, so he will reward you later on with whatever you ask, but don't be greedy."
"…"
Rea Tyriel blinked. She was confused as this pill was clearly stolen from her while she couldn't do anything with her cultivation having been sealed, but more than that, she realized something, "You're seriously giving it to him instead of using it for yourself?"
"Yes~"
Evelynn replied joyfully, "I finally have something to give him of value instead of just me and the children."
"Yo- you're a mother?"
"A mother of two. They're powerful gems who were born an emperor and empress, so one day, I hope they will be like their father, caring and responsible~"
Evelynn's melodious voice was full of pride.
It could be seen that she was immensely satisfied with her life.
"Then go get your own Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill…!" Rea Tyriel screamed out in jealousy.
This woman had extremely talented children, and she knew half of the female population would be burning in their own pot of jealousy right now.
"It's my payment for not killing you, which means, in another perspective, I saved you."
"…"
Rea Tyriel wanted to cry. She didn't expect this woman to have the ability to twist the circumstances of a situation. However, she had to admit that she owed nothing to her, and Evelynn granted her mercy by not killing her when she was supposed to because this was none other than the Candidacy, the mythical event that people waited for a long time and almost believed wouldn't happen and was fake.
If the situation had flipped, would she have been able to do the same?
She asked herself and could only remember his stern face. Somehow, it made her angry, perhaps because she didn't get treated like a woman.
Evelynn snapped her fingers, causing the blue hex symbol to disperse from Rea Tyriel's forehead.
It allowed Rea Tyriel to reclaim her cultivation and feel better as her energy flooded to the remnant negative energy and suppressed it. Then, her body's natural healing factor increased, allowing her to recover faster than before.
Light radiated from her body and became glazed, making her appear glossy.
Rea Tyriel looked like she had been revived by the graces of a holy power. At that moment, Evelynn knew this woman's prowess was dense enough to be considered eight levels higher, making her go-
'No wonder…'
"Stop right there, Evelynn. I am challenging you to a fair battle, so fight me. I want the pill back…!"
Evelynn was about to leave as she turned around and walked away. However, with those words thrown, she turned around her third eye opening and revealing a dreadful spider eye that glowed red.
"Don't test my patience~"
"…!"
At that very moment, Rea Tyriel shuddered. Her legs went limp, and she sat back when she had just gotten back up, her hands trembling while still pointing at Evelynn.
'The famed Collapse Hex that made everyone fear the Three-Eyed Hex Chromatic Arachnid because of its capability of imposing instant death through internal collapse….'
Rea Tyriel wanted to speak out over what she had heard about that evil magical beast race but could only imagine, her voice stuck in her throat. It literally left her bound in fear as this was worse as standing on the eighth step.
It was as though a tremendously giant evil eye had locked its gaze upon her.
She could only think that if she moved, she would implode the next second.
The next second, this feeling disappeared as Evelynn closed her third eye and left further east.
Rea Tyriel gasped for breath, feeling her senses return as the feeling of death disappeared. Her eyes caught Evelynn leaving, but she didn't do anything anymore, unable to believe how powerful this woman was. Her pupils were dilated as she watched Evelynn walk away, and these few seconds were incredibly long for her. She was still thinking about how she could get this powerful, reminding her of Davis and his ridiculous prowess.
However, what she didn't know was Davis had become even more powerful than the last time she fought with him.
Although her prowess was at the very least ten levels higher, allowing her to easily dispatch Rea Tyriel, she wasn't as strong enough to defeat the crystal phoenix. Sighing lightly, she stopped and opened her mouth.
"If you head to the west, you'll die from a Peak-Level Immortal Emperor Crystal Beast Phoenix, so head south or north, although I won't guarantee you won't chance upon that menace. As for finding the Crystal Gate, good luck~"
"…"
Rea Tyriel stared at Evelynn. The latter continued further east, leaving her alone.
