Chapter 3368 Peculiar Saint?
Outside the mansion, amidst the mountain path that went downhill into the core of the city, Davis and the others suddenly came to a stop.
They saw a man clad in a robe that blended hues of celestial blue and pure white, exuding a welcoming and affable aura that drew people in effortlessly. Behind him, there was an array of Ancestors from both alliances who stood behind him to protect him.
Nonetheless, his midnight blue robes were accented with delicate patterns that seemed to shimmer when caught in the light, adding an otherworldly charm to his attire. His demeanor was approachable, emanating a warmth that instantly put others at ease.
His hands were raised and cupped, "Young heroes of the Aurora Cloud Gate, I heard you were both Anarchic Divergents. Is that true?"
"…"
Davis's brows squinted at this person, knowing this was the Saint of the Dragon Alliance as Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder had shown them their images in order to not be unprepared for whatever reason.
Saint Riyal Mendez of the Dragon Alliance.
From what he heard, this person's reputation was even better than the couple's because he went around healing ordinary people whenever he went out of seclusion or house arrest as though he was a wandering doctor who wanted to make the world a better place.
Other than that, much wasn't known about him, causing Davis to politely return the gesture.
"That's right. We're Anarchic Divergents but have free reign to come and leave as we please. If you are here to make trouble, then I would advise for you to refrain."
"Hoho," Saint Riyal Mendez chuckled funnily, "How can I make trouble knowing that the Emperor of Death, who took down the Fire Phoenix Clan all by himself, is here? Why would I want to court death?"
This Saint said something so smart that Davis nodded with approval, but he wasn't convinced that a Saint who needed to be in their ideals and exude certain virtuous values in order to be one could be an unbiased person.
Everybody was judgmental, from making initial impressions from appearance to having a strong bias from rumors, especially if they hate those rumors.
Heck, even he was judgmental, so he didn't expect other people to be unbiased, but if someone didn't have any business with him, then they shouldn't be standing in front of him in the first place.
"Then what are you here for? To take a look at me or my Myria?"
He asked in a mocking tone and made the relationship between him and Fairy Myria known to the world with pride.
However, Saint Riyal Mendez didn't seem to be provoked. He even smiled brightly.
"Young man, it is not that I don't understand your anger, which is justified since most people would try to kill you on the spot, but you don't need to hold such resentment towards me. I am a Saint who has never killed a person, after all."
"You expect me to believe that?"
"You don't need to."
"Enough of that. If you aren't here for anything, then please move out of the way."
Davis changed his tone to being polite, making Saint Riyal Mendez blink.
"That's fine… have it your way. However, one day, I know you'll approach me."
"…?"
Davis looked amused, but Saint Riyal Mendez left just like that, making Davis a bit curious and even more curious as he saw Saint Alaric Valerian and Saintess Luciella Valerian appear at a distance, watching Saint Riyal Mendez leave.
"What was that about…?"
Isabella asked as she turned to look at Grand Elder Kirana Rocksunder, but she shook her head, having no idea.
Eventually, they all left, and the Patriarchs invited Davis and Myria to stay in the city for some more time. However, he politely declined and left in the same Earth Dragon Clan's battleship, except there was Founder Rocksunder and Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder flying with them.
"Patriarch Klavius, mind telling me what that was about? That sounded like a threat, but clearly it wasn't, as there was no ill-will in that statement. Is Saint Riyal Mendez a compulsive liar?"
Davis asked once the battleship left for the Aurora Cloud Gate, causing the crowd around him to focus their attention on the conversation.
"I've been a Patriarch for a long time, so I know a few things about Saint Riyal Mendez, who is affiliated with our Dragon Alliance. That… wasn't a threat, but it sure would be, as you might want some pills from him in the future."
"Hmm…?"
"That man… he has created a Divine Technique that allows a man to be able to immortalize his seed."
"What…?"
"His healing arts don't stop there. He is also an alchemy genius, so he combined his healing arts and pill arts to make numerous medicinal pills with numerous effects, one of which he derived from his own insights into his Divine Technique by obtaining similar resources, which he guards very deeply. There are also medicinal pills, such as one that allows the egg to be immortalized faster. His treatment is based mostly on dual cultivation, so he is capable of curing all kinds of sexually transmitted afflictions as well as curing sequela brought forth in such intimate situations."
ƈοm "…"
Davis blinked while Myria also seemed shocked, unable to believe a fake Saint would know of such high-level techniques.
Naturally, she also knew of such methods, but using those methods wasn't reliable and even dangerous as the seed would disintegrate or the egg would collapse ninety percent of the time, even causing damage to their sexual functions or worse, incurring the wrath of the heavens in the form of a more powerful tribulation, but this man seemed to have earned the… approval of the heavens…?
What kind of Divine Technique was this?
Davis was also highly curious right now that he wanted to go steal Saint Riyal Mendez's Divine Technique, but that man just said that he would approach him one day, so if Davis went now, it would be like slapping his own face.
However, if it was for the immortal seed that he could produce and immortal eggs that his women would no longer need to wait for a long time, such as fifteen years, then he felt like he could receive a slap or two.
But as cautious as he was, he knew there was no free meal for a Divine Technique or a pill as valuable as that.
"What would be the price?"
"…"
Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder appeared awkward, "I'm not sure, but from what I heard… he doesn't demand payment in immortal crystals but instead, appears to demand to sleep with any one of the client's women of his choice—"
