Chapter 3849 Dark-Winged Tiger Lower Realm
The flying ship continued its travel as they activated their first warp after repair.
*Zuum!~~~*
The entire flying ship flashed with a blinding light as it got compressed and shuttled across a spatial vortex that opened to accommodate its acceleration into the spatial crevices. The next second, it exited trillions of kilometers away, releasing spatial undulations while the vortex behind them closed.
The flying ship appeared above a vibrant red mountain range, hovering in the sky as they marveled at the breathtaking view below. Davis and the others breathed a sigh of relief, grateful for the successful repair.
Their spatial undulations may attract unwarranted attention, so they quickly concealed their ship with the concealment mechanism and shot across the skies. After some time, they deactivated the concealment and increased their speed.
They did it so many times that the standing crew knew what the next move was. Founder Alstreim and Klade took turns flying the ship and resting, while Tanya or someone else always kept a lookout. However, considering they were doing their best to travel at high speeds of nearly twenty million kilometers per second, it was near impossible to react.
Nonetheless, no one was stupid enough to crash into a sizeable flying ship.
However, that couldn't be said the same about magical beasts and mostly feral beasts.
"Phi!~"
SPLAT!~
A huge crow suddenly appeared out of nowhere and collided with the ship, causing a jolt among the crew.
Despite the unexpected obstacle, Founder Alstreim skillfully maneuvered the ship to avoid a crash. However, the barrier was now coated in the crow's blood.
"Was it a Dark Moon Crow?"
"Yeah, it was a Dark Moon Crow." Founder Alstreim pursed his lips, feeling awkward and guilty.
"May you rest in peace."
Davis cupped his hands and offered his condolences before inwardly apologizing to Nyoran, as she was once a Dark Moon Crow. He told the others to clean the ship, or it would provoke some kind of response from somewhere.
Nonetheless, it seems like darkness-attributed creatures were overpopulated in this realm.
They didn't find it strange considering it was called the Dark-Winged Tiger Lower Realm.
The Dark-Winged Tiger Lower Realm did have a main route, but half of it didn't have any checkpoints, making it vulnerable to bandit ambushes and magical beast invasions.
Nevertheless, they had no choice but to travel normally during the interval period.
After all, the spatial warp mechanism could only be used in certain locations where space was incredibly stable from one point to another. Such locations were vaguely marked on the maps, but they wouldn't know if they were genuine or not unless they reached that particular region, stopped the ship, activated the spatial warp mechanism, and waited for it to connect to another stable space trillions of kilometers away before taking them there.
Also, stable space didn't only mean stability but also unoccupied, meaning that there shouldn't be any kind of barrier or obstacle around the destination point.
Otherwise, it wouldn't activate fully.
This made the process of using the spatial warp mechanism a risky endeavor, as any miscalculation could result in disaster. The crew had to rely on precise navigation and luck to successfully travel through stable space.
This made Davis look at Founder Alstreim and Klade in a new light, as they were good captains. One reason was that they already had experience flying ships, and the other was that their luck was probably good.
One survived even after dying to a heavenly tribulation, and the other was the origin point for the Alstreim Family that entered the Grand Sea Continent and mixed with the Loret Family, finally birthing Davis Loret.
Davis looked upon them fondly as he also remembered their families, recalling Ancestor Cornelia, who was now a happy mother. If they continued to work hard, he felt like they could reach greater heights.
With a bit of help from him, he didn't doubt they would reach the Empyrean Stage, although for Klade, a Burning Phoenix, he needed to make him a Seven-Colored Phoenix.
Recalling Founder Zenflame's wish, he wondered where he should obtain such a thing. Should he practice fusing Karma Laws and Life Laws?
Davis wasn't sure.
Nowadays, he was always tired of a few things while also experiencing travel fatigue, so he didn't dare use his soul force overtly and become more exhausted. He must find a place to settle first, as initially planned, before dealing with all kinds of tasks.
After half a day, Davis thought the journey to the northern border town, which was longer than most journeys to a border town, was at least half complete. He tried to match their location with the map as he tried to find a warp spot.
"What the…"
However, they chanced upon something at the peak of a mountain nearby.
There were many people, numbering a thousand, and many people were making it to this place from all directions.
Feeling curious, he also went to look.
Davis recognized a few Dark-Winged Tigers, so he instantly thought they were officials of the realm. However, the main attraction wasn't them, but the enormous spatial vortex hanging in the air.
"Holy shit, is that an Upper Realm node…?"
Davis gawked.
He could see the Dark-Winged Tiger Lower Realm actually having created a toll for the spatial vortex, imposing a hefty sum upon those who wished to cross it. Spatial nodes like this were rare to come across, as they would disappear within a day or two.
It made sense for the officials to take advantage of an Upper Realm node opening in their realm. After all, after a node hits a certain limit of people, it will collapse upon itself and disappear. So only those who were lucky enough to find one out of anyone's authority or the rich could afford it.
Davis gulped.
This was an excellent chance to head to the Upper Realms, as the security was quite lax. There were only three Peak-Level Sovereigns and an Immortal Emperor Beast. However, he didn't know what lied on the other side, and the circumstances he was in obviously didn't allow him to head to the Upper Realms.
At the same time, an Autarch descended from the giant spatial vortex. His undulations were quite unique, causing numerous people to lower their heads when standing in his presence.
'Crap… an Heaven's Warrior…'
Davis clenched his fist.
Their ship was not concealed at the moment, since they were searching for a warp point. Besides, it was a plus to blend with the crowd rather than stay hidden, but never did he imagine a Heaven's Warrior would come out from nowhere.
If that person picked up even the slightest suspicion about his flying ship, it was over, so he hurriedly gestured for Founder Alstreim to move them away. On the other hand, they gestured for him to quickly go hide in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace and conceal it.
