Chapter 3376 Flipped Views?
Davis left the Blazing Thunderlight Sect with an indifferent expression on his face.
He had spoken with Fairy Thunderblaze but had yet to come to a decision about what they discussed. What she said was fairly shocking, but not so much when he considered her origin. Regardless, he said he would think about it and left.
He didn't go to the Starlight Jade Wolf King, though, but went towards the Dragon-Phoenix Alliance.
His uninvited entry would've caused an uproar, so he concealed himself but only barely made it to the foot of the mountain before he was caught by a detection formation, causing him to stop using his Hateless Ghost Emperor Steps.
Fortunately, it was the Earth Dragon Clan's Ancestor who protected the Saint couple found him, so after some smooth talking over the atmosphere that was full of tension, he convinced the other party to let him meet Saint Alaric Valerian and Saintess Luciella Valerian.
"What are you here for now?"
Saint Alaric Valerian growled with a low voice.
He obviously didn't look amused by Davis's announced visit.
"…" Davis took a moment to look around, appearing as though searching for Saintess Luciella Valerian.
This made Saint Alaric Valerian clench his teeth, "Were you planning to assassinate me for wanting to clarify things?"
"I'm not that petty." Davis sat down and shook his head, "Even if I had the means to assassinate you, why would I go out of my way to end a harmless Saint? It's not like you could threaten me."
"…"
Saint Alaric Valerian's gaze chilled, but he took a deep breath to calm himself down before moving his lips.
"Speak."
"Alright. I came in search of you to help me obtain some resources that would improve the rate of fertility in Immortal Emperor Stage women."
These kinds of resources seemed to be rare and ran out of the Treasury in the Aurora Cloud Gate, but certainly, Saintess Lunaria should have some or many, but he didn't want to be indebted to her more.
"If you're looking for that type of resource, you're better off speaking with Saint Riyal Mendez."
"…" Davis pursed his lips.
He leaned, wanting to say something, but then shook his head and stood up.
"Alright. Don't blame me if I kill him then."
Saying his piece, he took a step towards the exit.
His actions caused Saint Alaric Valerian to chuckle. He didn't turn to look at him, but once Davis neared the exit, he called out.
"Wait. Don't be in such a hurry to rock the dragon alliance. They really will hunt you down if you touch their Saint. Such cases were plenty back in the day when he was an upstart Saint."
"Figures…"
Davis took a step around and reappeared within the seat, causing Saint Alaric Valerian's eyes to twitch.
The man in front of him had no shame, acting like he wanted to leave but just wanted to get the desired reaction out of him. The irritable thing was this shameless man in front of him was also a Saint- a true Saint who had more potential than him.
"So you already know."
Nonetheless, he nodded.
"Saint Riyal Mendez is a scum through and through. No amount of convincing will allow him to change his ways as he is deep into his own twisted views. If you were a poor cultivator whom he met on his adventure, he might help you without expecting anything in return, but beings of our power, he would do everything in order to test their loyalty and love while also jumping into your household's lake to feel every part of those twisted emotions."
"Hearing about your personality, I feared a calamity would be imminent if you two met. Therefore, I'll make an exception and let you buy my resources of that type, but this will be the last transaction you could expect of me!"
"Many thanks!"
Davis cupped his hands, "I didn't expect Saint Alaric to be this magnanimous. Then, I will help myself to your garden of fertile fertility resources."
Saint Alaric Valerian inwardly sighed and took Davis around.
After making him pay double the price for an unannounced visit, which cost about twenty billion High-Level Immortal Crystals in total, he watched Davis leave.
He left so happily that it burned his heart, making him gnash his teeth as he didn't know if he just let a calamity or a blessing grow.
Eventually, he returned to his chamber and saw his beloved wife, Saintess Luciella Valerian, lying on the bed.
However, her eyes were still moist, and there were tear stains on her face, causing him to sigh.
He went towards her and silently held her hand, giving her warmth, which caused her to look at him and bite her lips.
"Love… how can this be…? How can Saintess Lunaria be an Anarchic Divergent…?"
"It is what it is, my dear Luciella. Saintess Lunaria said so herself and didn't even bother to keep our tongues tied. It should say that she doesn't care how people view her anymore…"
Saint Alaric Valerian sighed again.
Yesterday, they had already met Saintess Lunaria.
At first, they were cautious, almost convinced that they were meeting a fake, but looking at her life energy and the legendary life beast, Nine Lives Gracious Fox, everything changed.
They were so excited like little children, and he had even lost his bearing in front of her and acted like a teenager wet behind his ears in front of her graceful self as he couldn't keep his eyes from her empire-toppling beauty.
Regardless, they heard many things from Saintess Lunaria and posed many questions to her.
Why did she decide to seclude herself? Why did she decide to remain hidden? Why didn't she ascend together with her assumed husband, who was the Azure Dragon?
Why was the Divine Emperor of Death allowed to live? Why was he allowed to grow even if kept alive? Why was there no action taken by the Aurora Cloud Gate?
They wanted to know many answers and received quite a bit of answers from her, the last one being that she was also an Anarchic Divergent and that the world they see might be an illusion formed from their own bias and wasn't necessarily what the truth is.
Magnanimously, she didn't blame them for their supposed ignorance but told them to consider the lives of everyone, including Divergents, to be sacred and worth saving as long as they don't willfully slaughter and commit wicked deeds.
It somehow opened their eyes to a new perspective but still didn't have them convinced as it was hard to break what they had learned and understood for over two million years.
Of course, his wife, Saint Luciella, who deeply idolized Saintess Lunaria, was heartbroken. The fact that such a genuine and goddess-like figure could be an Anarchic Divergent even though she was teeming with life aura and kindness made her incredibly sad and wallow in sadness in her stead.
He was also slightly depressed.
This made them truly doubt what life and death were. What was good and what was bad?
Were Anarchic Divergents and other counterparts just… unreasonably hated?
But… the destruction they caused in the flow of history always proved otherwise, but then again, Saintess Lunaria was an Anarchic Divergent who brought peace to the world!
The conflicting scenarios truly made them confused and disabled for the time being, rendering them wistful over this sudden revelation.
