Chapter 3487 Cultists
We stopped once again as we appeared by the hills, and I carefully seeped my soul sense inside.
We all have been warned about it, and it is a fair warning. The slightest mistake and everything would go wrong, and we don't want that.
Our enemies shouldn't discover us, till the time we want them to.
"Interesting," said Elra.
Yes, it is interesting. This ordinary-looking hill is not ordinary after all.
It is made of a special stone that absorbs the soul's senses while giving depth. If one is scanning. They would think, their soul sense is moving deeply, while only being absorbed by the stone.
I had needed to push quite deep before I was able to see what was inside there and there was quite a lot.
The soul sense of the four of us stopped as we breached the stone before it had stopped, and Wanya turned to me.
Without saying anything, I pushed my soul sense inside.
The aptitude tests the organization did have tested all my abilities. They have several resumes for it and the one that, given to these three people, states that I have exceptional control over my soul sense, and it is stealthy.
This is a common factor in most of the resumes the organization has created.
My soul senses moved forwards and seeing what was inside and what I saw couldn't help me shocked me.
I shouldn't have been shocked. The information had said I should expect a thing like this, but still, I was shocked by it.
They have carved a small part of the hill and fitted a huge cylinder there. These cylinders are divided into five parts containing the five floors; on each floor is a group of people.
There are seven people on each floor. Six sitting in a circle, in a dense green formation with the formation covering their bodies. The seventh person is the same, but the runes covering him are even denser.
I looked at the formation covering the people, especially six sitting in a circle, and my expression couldn't help but become worse.
These six people are captives, while the seventh one with a ceramic mask is a cultist.
In all the five floors, the same thing is happening.
A few minutes later, I focused my gaze on the end of the cylinder. From which twelve crystalline tubes are coming out and they are burrowed into the poison vein nearly five hundred meters below.
These tubes would suck essences from the poison veins and send it to the cylinder.
It would purify it and then release it into the formations along with the herbal energies and other energies and pour it into the group of six people forming the circle.
I can't see what they are doing, but I could very well make a guess with the formations covering them.
I wanted to use my seeds or even scan them, but I am being cautious and not just against these cultists.
I looked for a few more minutes before opening my eyes finally. In my hand, three crystals appeared, and I poured everything I had seen in them, including the formations.
All three of them took the crystals and opened their eyes.
We all looked at Wanya when she opened her eyes. She is the leader and also the formation expert in our group.
"I can break the formation, but I would need three days," she said, shaking her head.
"That would waste too much time and seeing how little space there is, we should draw them out," she added, and we all nodded in acceptance.
Three days is a little too much; we have to do it faster.
"We should go to the safe place first, before discussing the plan," said Elra, and a second later, we were walking away from the hill.
We didn't keep anyone behind to keep an eye on things. There is no need; the cultists aren't going to leave anywhere, and we are not leaving without any preparations.
If a single one of them came out, we will know.
Soon, we reached the hidden spot; we had found it on our way here. It is so hidden that nobody would be able to find it, but hidden enough that nobody would discover us in the short period we are here.
As we reached there, Wanya took out her abode.
It looked like a simple abode with a white gate, but it was not; the moment we entered inside. It had hidden itself within the environment and so, well, that cursory wave of soul sense wouldn't be enough to discover it.
"There are only two ways we could do that, messing with the crystal tubes or creating a disturbance," said Gamin.
To that, Elra shook her head.
"It won't be enough to bring out all of them at once; we need to do something more," she added.
"We will do both options," said Wanya and everybody turned to her. "I have spotted a few earth rats monsters,"
"We will use them to chew out of those tubes; it will stop the whole process and will bring out all of them," said Wanya.
"It will make them suspect," said Gamin, with his face turning serious, while the smile on Wanya's face became bigger.
"Let them suspect. As long as they are not completely sure, they will do what we want them to do," She replied.
"It seemed to be the best option we have," said Gamin, after a few seconds of silence. "I do not have any problem with it," added Elra.
"Me too," I said.
"Gamon, Elra, find the monsters who could do the job, while I go back to the hill to set things up," she said and then turned to me.
"Kor, you will stay here and work on our poison protection. We don't want anything unexpected to stop us," she said.
"I have collected some samples and will have some protection ready before the mission begins," I replied.
"Good," she said and walked out of the abode with the two.
