Chapter 2480 Nine
"Begin!"
I said to all nine people in different halls, and with my command, all nine Masters began their breakthrough while people in the viewing room watched.
"Even after four months, I still get shocked by the number of Grandmasters we are getting at each month; we used to get this much in a decade if we had a good luck," said Lord Sylvian, "Yes; sometimes, I feel like I am in a dream," said Lord hunt.
"Lord Hunt, Lord Sylvian, how are the new Grandmasters faring?" I asked.
After making them level up to the Grandmaster class, my responsibility toward them is finished. I will hand them over to the council who is training them in a secret place, keeping them hidden from nearly everyone, not only from enemies but also from our most trusted ones.
Aside from Grand Lords, council, my team, and me, nobody knew about it; even those at half-step into the Grand Lord class did not have any idea about it.
Though some people have guessed something was happening, and the council even denied it; they even published that they were trying to create the Grandmasters, and most people laughed when they heard it; as it was not the first attempt or hundredth.
We have done it so many times and failed that even our enemies did not think we would succeed.
Thankfully, my name is hidden; only those involved in the project know I am the leader of the project, while the rest, including the subjects, thinks I am an important member and not a leader of the whole project.
A few minutes passed when four with the Bloodline had called their source and began to absorb it with the resources while five with the resources were just absorbing the resources. They will take some time before they call the wordly energy around them.
Half an hour passed, and finally, all the Inheritance was called the worldly energies. The sheer amount of energy these nine consume is immense. If not for Pyramid's abilities, the Grimms have detected their breakthroughs long ago.
"Have you made the list of candidates you are going to interview for the position of head of 'King Project'?" asked Lord Sylvian.
"Yes, I did. I will inform you of my decision after I finish interviewing them," I said. It is not my decision but also the decision of the council that will decide on the candidate. With the number of resources they will be spending, they need to be sure of the candidate that is going to lead the project.
I have read the information about crazy Marie as Grandmaster Salvador had suggested, and I have to say, most of what people say is a fallacy, but there is truth in them. Though I still have reservations about her, I will give her a chance; as Grandmaster Salvador said, she is quite capable.
"Good; we are also creating a few hundred hunting teams below tyrants members to collect the resources from all the runes," informed Lord Sylvian.
The resources required for the project are immense, more than ten times that is normally required. It is a price for the progress that one will have to pay.
Hun!
I was talking with her when suddenly a smile couldn't help but appear on my face. There are chances that something like this to happen, but I did not truly dare to believe it as many times people have come very close to achieving it.
'Clarence Hall has really done it,' I thought as I looked at his meta-scan. He is not going to be a normal Grandmaster, but the one who will directly become a Mid-Grandmaster on the breakthrough; it is quite hard to believe considering his Bloodline.
His Bloodline is of the low-level storm tiger, but despite that, he had worked extremely hard and gained enough power that he could defend against Grandmasters while still being a Master.
With the hard he was putting in and is just a man in his early thirties, he would have definitely become a Grandmaster before the age of fifty, which is pretty good, and now, with the little push from me, he is saving those years.
"I will take a Clarence Hall," I said to the two councilmen beside me. "He will be the fourth Grandmaster you will add to your special group," said Lord Hunt but did not deny the request.
Usually, the newly leveled up Grandmasters of the project directly go to the Pyramid to train secretly, but I kept some back to the project, and till now, I have selected three of them, and clarence hall would be the fourth one.
These are the ones who possess qualities, not only the potential but also the will to do what others are incapable of.
These people could become the backbone of the Grandmaster force, high-level ones; only initial level Grandmasters are not enough; we will need mid Grandmasters, peak Grandmasters, and even High Grandmasters for the balanced force.
"Hun, no wonder you have chosen him," said Lord Hunt a few minutes later as he began to notice the exceptionally dense source of energy. Despite his Bloodline being the weakest of four, his source is sending out the densest source of energy, seeing that even a dumb person would realize what is happening.
"I will be grateful if the council decides to keep him in my care longer," I said, and both of them just smiled without answering, but I knew they would not reject my request.
An hour passed, and finally, the breakthroughs of the Inheritance host began to complete one after another. Within half an hour of time, all the five Inheritance hosts had leveled up to the Grandmaster class.
I congratulated each one of them on their breakthrough and looked at the four Bloodlines hosts who are still accepting the source energies.
It took one hour and nine minutes after the last Inheritance host breakthrough when the first bloodline host made the breakthrough into the Grandmaster class. Fifteen minutes after that, another host made a breakthrough, and eight minutes after that, another.
The last to make a breakthrough was of the clarence hall, and when he did, an aura of powerful Mid-Grandmaster burst out of him.
