Chapter 3387 Pirates
I appeared on my balcony and saw rain, lighting, and giant waves, but I didn't see any pirates.
'Mr. Mark, your presence has been required on deck three,' a voice rang through my cabin. I looked at my balcony for a moment before getting out of my suit.
A couple of seconds later, I came out of the deluxe area and saw the scene of absolute panic.
The Primaries and some Sovereigns are moving with panic on their faces. They are scared and I would have been too; hell, I am scared right now.
I have read about these pirates, and they are dangerous.
They kill indescribably and even capture people, which they sell to many organizations.
There have been many attempts by Trimar, Marlin, and other cities and organizations to finish off these pirates, and many times they do, but new one spawn in their places.
There is no end to the people running from the law and piracy in the bold sea, is a great thing for them.
There are many islands above and below the sea, which serve as their bases. They are hard to find, even for an Earth Sovereign.
Soon, I reached deck three.
Two High Sovereigns guarding it, but they let me pass immediately, and I come across an area that is filled with the Peak Sovereigns and Earth Sovereigns.
There are over fifty Peak Sovereigns have gathered here and many more would come.
This is not only the deck where Peak Sovereigns are gathering. When I was coming here, I saw two peak Sovereigns moving toward the directions of the different decks.
They seemed to mobilize all the Sovereigns on the deck; it didn't matter. If they are part of their staff or not.
It is not Sovereign, but also Earth Sovereigns. Of the four standing on the deck, two didn't seem to be part of it, seeing their body language.
A few seconds after I came. An Eagle Beastwomen turned to us; she is an Earth Sovereign, with a sharp gaze.
"Our scouts have sensed the pirates. In one to two minutes, they will surround the ship from all sides," she informed.
"Can we not negotiate with them?" asked one Sovereign, with a wooden tail. "We are trying that already and pirates are not responding," she informed, making many people take a sigh of defeat.
All the people standing here are powerful, but that doesn't mean they will fight needlessly.
With their experience, they understood. Victory is not absolute in the battle, even in a battle that seemed completely in their favor and here, we do not have such odds.
Especially in this unpredictable sea and that lightning coming down from the sky. It felt like it will turn most Sovereigns into ashes within a moment.
Seconds passed, and we waited with bated breath, till I begin to see the things, as they started to come out of the water.
I saw pirates coming out of the water everywhere I see and instead of coming through the ship; they were riding the monsters.
Couple of which had an aura of Earth Sovereigns.
From Octopuses to sharks, to whales; they seemed to be riding all types of marine life and seeing how they are staying in the water perfectly still despite huge waves. It is clear they are perfectly tame.
In a matter of seconds, they surrounded the ship from all sides and a moment after that, a huge black octopus came out, with a blue scale merman man riding on top of it alone.
The octopus is mid-Sovereign, but the merman riding on it is a High-Sovereign.
It immediately turned my expressions serious, not only mine, but also of many people on the ship. According to information, I read, a very few times, a High Sovereign pirate had come to attack.
Most of the time, it is a Mid-Earth Sovereign leading the pirates.
This is Lirio Neptar; he is a famous Merman pirate, active in the bold sea for centuries.
His information had said he was the only Mid-Earth Sovereign, but it seemed like he had leveled up and become a High-Earth Sovereign.
"Leaders and passengers of Varana. Surrender and we will only take your storage, resist and we will reap your lives," said the man, showing his large sharp shark teeth.
This man had no intention of compromise. Putting forward a condition we will not accept.
It is idiotic to accept, surrendering means putting our lives in his hand. Even if he was the most honest man in the world and not a pirate, no powerhouse would agree to such a condition.
"This condition is too much Neptar. At most, we will be willing to provide you with a huge bounty," said a bony man who appeared in front of the ship, with an aura of Mid-Earth Sovereign
"Since you declined my merciful offer. There is only war," he said and raised his trident toward the ship.
"Attack; kill everyone who dared to raise weapons against you!" he roared, and the pirates shouted and moved toward the ship from all directions.
"Kill the pirate! Every pirate you kill, Marlin City, will provide twice a bounty they have!" shouted the bony old man and moved toward the Neptar.
Behind him, other Earth Sovereigns also moved, and right behind them us.
The shield covering the ship had disappeared as thousands of pirates and passengers moved toward each other.
A halberd appeared in my hand. It had a blue handle and a colorless, crystalline blade. This is another of my poison edition weapons, which I forged nearly a month ago.
It is better than the spear I had used against the cultist. I had forged it with the data I have gotten from that battle.
A second and a half later, I have come across the first pirate, or rather a pirate. Twins, to be exact, and they have launched a combined attack, no wonder they dare to move against me.
They are Seal Beastman, with the power of High-Sovereigns. Both of them have sabers in their hand and the whirlpool joint attacked they launched at me, is at Peak Sovereign level.
"Die, you land bastard," they shouted and threw the attack at me.
It appeared to in front of me in an instant and crashed against me; seeing that, a big smile appeared on their faces.
Though, it lasted only for a moment, before it froze away as they have realized, they have hit an afterimage; a realistic afterimage.
Slice Slice!
The Seal Beastman turned, only to see a red line appearing on their necks, before their heads begin to slide off their heads.
They didn't even see how I cut their neck; only felt after it happened.
A horror appeared in their dying eyes, before all the life left them and I stored their bodies in my core.
Their attack had barely reached the power of the Peak Sovereign. It would have been enough against the average Peak Sovereign, but against me, it is far from enough.
They wouldn't have been able to defeat me even before I made a breakthrough into Peak-Primary three.
After it, they have no chance.
They should have picked someone of their level; they regretted the choice at the last moment, but it had become too late.
