Chapter 2989 Eight
"Is there something else?" asked Ellen seeing my expression turning strange. "Yes, there is good news," I said, which made them arched their browns in question.
Others may not see it, but to me, it is good news.
"The being had not come; instead, it had sent eight Grimms, each above Tyrant class but below the Primary-II stage," I said, and that made some of them frow even further.
"How's that good news?" asked Kevin, "It is because we are not a match of the being, it is powerful beyond aura imagination, but it could not come immediately,"
"If we defeat these eight plus Rhaek, we will have at least a month to prepare for the being, and in my opinion, it is good news," I said, and some of them nodded.
"Still defeating them would be a challenge," said the phantom of Lord of Glass, which I nodded before gemmed-like seeds appeared above my hand; seeing their eyes and everyone widened up.
"We will have to use our everything from the beginning, burn your essence from the beginning and try to finish them as possible," I said and turned to seeds, which floated toward every person sitting at the table.
"While these are not perfect, they should be able to save us from the worse effect of the essence burns," I added as the seeds began to seep inside them; nobody resisted them.
"I have never felt such life-force in my life," said Matron as the seed had seeped inside her.
The seeds are filled with life force; I have drained the necrotic tree as the filled it, collecting a huge amount of life-force and filled the seed with a huge amount of it.
I wish I had time to process it further and add things to make it work better, but as long as we survive this encounter, I will have more than enough time to perfect these seeds.
Though it will be a challenge to survive, there is a chance. If that being had come, there wouldn't have been any chance.
I had felt what Rhaek had felt, and it sent a chill down my heart; there was no way we could match that power.
"They have appeared," I said as the formation covering us flashed, and we appeared out of the pyramid in the sky of Blackstone Island.
A few seconds had passed when the powerful soul senses touched us, and a second later, a big rift in the space opened, and nine Grimm Monsters appeared, eight of them having a world-shaking power.
They appeared with the power of the world trying to crush them, but they seemed to be bearing it without any problem.
"See, they did not run away; they are even waiting for us," said Golden Fire Werewolf in the middle.
It is Raxth, the supposed leader of the eight; its aura is faintly stronger than all the other Grimms.
"There are some missing," said Grimm named Tref with short fur. "We will find it; with our power, there is nowhere they could hide," Hras said, grinningly, before turning toward us.
"So, humans, since we are merciful; we will give you a chance; surrender and bring out all the other humans of Grandmaster and above class, and we will give you a quick death,"
"Or fight with us, and we will give you death that you have not even dreamed of in your nightmare," said Raxth and looked at them with a grin.
"You are powerful, but don't think you will be able to defeat us," said Supreme Commander defiantly, which only made the smiles on the Grimm's face brighter.
"Good, I am hoping you would say that; your surrender would have been too boring," said Raxth before mirth appeared in its huge golden eyes.
"Come, show us your little resistance; we might entertain it for a minute or two," It said, and immediately we moved.
Our auras exploded, and it immediately froze the expressions on the Grimm's faces for a moment before even bigger smiles appeared on them.
First Burst + Second Burst + Third Burst + Forth Burst
I had activated bursts and felt my essence burn and produce such power that threatened burst out of me.
I have harvested a huge Grimms, whose strengthening energy I needed quite a lot of time to digest, nearly twenty minutes after Rhaek ran away. If I had fought the bastard that time, I wouldn't have had a problem killing it.
Buzz!
Now, I am burning my essence, and it is not the only thing I am doing; a moment later, the formation buzzed in my core, sending a powerful life energy into me, mixing with my burning essence and body, making me even stronger.
It is not just happening to me, but to everyone, through the seeds I had seeped into their body.
Life energy is powerful; no power rejects it.
Even the abyssal power of Jill and Matron and the holy power of Ellen had taken the life energy and strengthened themselves.
As I reached the Grimms, Nero and Ashlyn appeared on my shoulders before they disappeared.
They have their responsibilities.
The Grimms were surprised by their disappearance and even looked around but did not find them, despite increasing the power of their soul sense and spreading it further.
"I heard you are the trickiest one, the reason we have lost the war," said Raxth as it appeared in front of me and swung its claw at me.
It happened so fast that I did not see how it happened, but I reacted with my experience.
My sword moved, and a moment later, I felt it touching its claw.
CLANNNNG!
My sword clashed against its claws, and I felt like a meteor had hit me, and with it came a tide of energy so powerful that I had never experienced before.
It filled my armor and lighted up as it seeped inside; the bloodline was massive and powerful, as I had expected.
Still, to the shock of Grimm and mine, I bore the magical and physical attack with just the slightest shake.
"Interesting, it seemed like you humans are capable of resistance, little as that it may be," it said with a smile and released its aura, which began to crack this strong space like the mirror.
Our clash a moment ago was only able to send a faint ripple across space, but now, it cracked it like a mirror.
Earlier was just a casual strike; this one was real.
"See, if you could bear this, human," it said and swung its claw toward me; it was even faster than before, and I could not see it, but I decided to trust my instincts and moved my sword.
CLANNNNG!
My sword clashed, and immediately my expressions changed; I vomited the blood and began to take a step back while its energy filled with armor.
"You bore it," the Grimms said with mirth, and I sat appeared in front of me and attacked me with even greater power.
I harnessed more power and swung my sword, ignoring the muscles that felt like iron.
CLANNNNG!
My sword clashed against me, and this time, I was barely able to keep myself from shooting back a broken kite.
