Chapter 1028 - Home Run I
We flew from our penthouse window, and five-minute minutes later, we descended toward the guild.
Thud Thud!
We both landed in front of the beautiful Blue Castle. When I had seen the castle for the first time, it filled my heart with awe, but now it evokes no positive emotions in me.
This Castle had become a sign of oppression in my mind; it is in this castle I've been oppressed over and over and over again.
I was looking at the castle with deep emotions when I found a young man with a similar age as me coming toward us. "Micheal Zaar, the Guildmaster requested your presence in the arena." He said in a neutral tone.
When I looked at the young man properly, I found he is a powerful Peak Adamantine but is still wearing a Deacon badge.
I would have been surprised if I had seen this before the Ruin, but now I am not. In the Ruin, thousands of people had advanced to Adamantine, especially in War Tower.
Not to forget the war Tower was in a small part of the ruin, and there are many other places across the ruin where people got many chance encounters and reached the Adamantine.
So, powerful Peak Adamantine becoming a Deacon is nothing surprising.
"Ok!" I said and followed him with Elina toward Arena, which I had never gotten to use despite being the best performer in the guild within my level.
I had not only got to use the Arena, but I had not used the other facilities that the guild offered.
While we were walking toward the Guild, I saw many people looking at me whispering something, many people even following me, looks like I will get quite a surprise when I reach the Arena.
I was right!
When I reached the main arena, I found it completely filled, thousands of people sitting with not one seat being empty, hell there are even a few hundred people who are standing.
I spotted many familiar people sitting in the Arena, with some staying quiet with a neutral face while others are giving me reassuring smiles.
I could see the Guildmanter and Vice Guild Masters sitting on the opposite side of the arena on the elaborate chairs, which makes them seem like they are lords of this place, well they are.
"Micheal Zaar, you have broken too many rules during your stay in the Guild, and when it is time to receive the punishment, you are running like Coward."
"Today, the Guild accepts your resignation, but since you have pending punishment, you will have to accept Guilds Battle of Challenge."
"The Guild will challenge you for the three fights today. If you win all of them, you are free to leave the guild, but if you lose them, you will suffer the penalties of losing the challenge and also punishment that is pending on you."
"Micheal Zaar, do you accept the challenge from the Guild?" finished Guildmanster finally.
What an idiot?
I am not the only one thinking that; others are also thinking the same. The Idiot of the Guild Master said everything so fast that he did not give me a chance to explain myself.
He had bulldozed over all the procedures and directly asked me if I am willing to accept the Guilds challenge or not.
"I accept," I said.
Well, it's a good thing he had bulldozed over all the procedure, as I had no interest in wasting my time explaining myself; I was directly going to ask for a Challenge from the Guild.
"Very well, the Guild will send Vice Guildmaster Melanie as Challenger," he said; I was quite surprised when I heard that, as according to proper procedure, it is Deacon that goes first before Vise Guild Master and then Guild Master.
Vice Guildmaster Melanie is a beefy bald woman who looked like she could crush anyone who came in front of her with her huge hands. She did not need to use the Black Hammer she is holding.
I recall all her info I've read a few hours ago. Like Guildmaster, she is also a member of Sky Saber, and she had accepted Level 1 inheritance, which made her one of the stronger Vice Guildmaster.
Guildmaster sending her directly means he wanted to crush me quickly as possible in the worst way.
"Hehe!" she let out a laugh as she entered the area while holding a two-meter long hammer on her shoulders.
She did not say anything to me, which I am sure she desperately wanted to but could not due to her position, so she just showed it all in her weird laugh.
To be honest, her laugh is quite scary that if my little sister sees it, she will have nightmares for a few days.
She and I came face to face; she has a two-meter long hammer in hand while I have my Totem artifact. The only difference between us is that she had cruelty filled in her eyes while mine has filled disinterest and complete disregard for her.
"The Battle will start in three seconds," the Guildmaster said as the next moment, the viewers started to count down the numbers.
"Three, Two, One!"
"Hehe!" Just as the one counted, even more, a hideous smile appeared on the face of Melanie as she came at me with her greatest speed.
She must have read intel on me and about my fights in Ruin. Otherwise, she would not have attacked me with her full strength.
In her attack, she had not only activated her inheritance but also using her art; I could see her glowing with incredible might as it came at me.
It took less than a moment for her to appear in front of me and swung my hammer at the speed that even most of the peak Adamantine wasn't able to see.
I could feel the shock and awe of the people as they saw her attack; feel their pitying gaze as they looked at me as the dead man. They did not think I had the capability to counter this attack.
They are thinking that seeing the power of her; I was frozen dead that I could not even react to her attack—only people like Elina and Guildmaster who think otherwise.
I did not focus on what others said; I watched the hammer coming closer and closer to me with a smile on my face and only reacted when the hammer crossed half of the distance.
As the hammer reached halfway, the smile on my face disappeared and was replaced with a serious expression; at the same time, my violet lines spread across my body as I swung my sword.
The pupils of Melanie constricted as she saw my sword coming, and she tried to convert her offensive to defensive hurriedly, but unfortunately, she is too, too slow to do that.
BANG!
Before she even started taking the defensive measures, my sword reached her, and the next moment, everyone heard the loud bang and saw the body of the Vice Guildmaster flying high in the air at great speed.
DHUB!
It flew over the audience and crashed across the wall behind them before falling down completely bloodied and unconscious. Everybody turned silent, seeing it as they looked at the bloodied body of the Vice Guildmaster in horror.
"Home Run!"
Suddenly someone shouted 'Home Run' loudly, breaking the silence that was reigning in the arena.
When I looked at the person who shouted, I was surprised to find it was Vice Guild Master.
