Chapter 1945 - Cleansing Drops I
I reached the end of the hall, and I did not find some Divine Crystal or similar resource, but I did find something interesting, and my runes were screaming for it.
At the end of the hall, on the ceiling, three formations are clashing, and from the center of their clashes, a multicolor drop will fall down, and the thing is this drop would evaporate midway; the drop would never touch the ground.
As I had said, I have no freaking idea what it is, but my runes are crazily desiring for it; they are reacted such a way very few times.
I looked at the three formations on the ceiling whose clash is creating the drops that are falling down every minute. The first formation is physical type; if I am not wrong, then this formation is about pressure, a physical pressure that would apply to every cell of a person.
It is not gravity but physical type pressure, like the emitted from the sheer strength of the body. Such formations are quite hard to create and need a formation ink or the surface on which runes are carved on of the physical quality.
The second one is lightning type, from what I could see in the formation. The formation would shot down the intruder with thin bolts of lightning, and this lightning is extremly dangerous. The tiniest bolt of it has the power to vaporize the Tyrant, and I am staying as far away from possible from those thin lightning flashes flashing on the ruin.
The third formation is most complete among the three formations; it is a 'Soul Hammer' formation. This formation would attack with a powerful soul attack that would shatter the soul of the one into millions of pieces; it was the most dangerous formation of three.
These three formations are clashing and creating drops of liquid; these three formations are not the only thing responsible for that drop; it is the surface they are drawn on from which the strange drops are being created, and the clash of three formations is just a process.
I want those drops, and I did not see any problem as long as I did not touch the three clashing formations and come under their range.
Still, I did not believe things could be this easy and looked even more carefully and activated all the investigative abilities I have, but even after minutes, I did not see any problem. It seemed like the things were as good as they appeared.
After checking everything alright, a vine came off my hand, unlike the hair-thin vines I use; this vine is thick, thick as the fingers, like the ones I used to use before.
The vine moved and appeared below the formation; it had maintained the distance to the formations, even a bolt of stray lightning from the formation could not strike it, but it is close enough that it would be able to catch the drop before it disappeared into the air.
As the vine appeared below the three formations, its upper part began to transform, and in a few seconds, it had transformed into a crystalline funnel.
I also took out a small bottle from my storage and attacked my vine, store the liquid that traveled down my vine. My vine will act as the pipe while the bottle will be storage for it; I just hope there is nothing wrong with those drops; I don't want to waste my time on useless things.
I waited for the drop to fall from the clashing point of formations; from what I had observed, each drip fell between every forty-three to forty-seven seconds; I just had to wait for a few more seconds, and drop will fall down.
Drip!
As I had expected, right at 44th seconds, the drop produced as the clashed point and fell down. The faint silver and purple color came down and fell in the funnel with a clear drip.
The moment drop fell into the funnel closed, and some formation lit up to force the drop forward toward the bottle when something happened. My bloodline reacted and went for the drop, and not only it, but Nero had also gone for it as well.
Within a second, more than half of the drop had disappeared, and these energies had spread through my body.
Instantly, I felt immense heaviness came over my body and felt like thousands of bolts of lightning striking me, and that's not the worse thing; the worse thing is energies of the drop had attacked my soul as well, and they felt like they were going to tear my soul apart, and the thing is, I could not even scream as my whole body has become numb.
The feeling had lasted for about fifteen seconds, but when I came to myself, I found my whole body was drenched in sweat.
"Fuck!" I had cursed while taking a ragged breath; I had expected something might happen but not this intense. It is really too much that I had started to shudder at the thought of the second drop, but I quickly got my emotions in control.
No matter what it does, I could see it is beneficial to my bloodline and Nero, and that is enough reason for me, not to mention, I am also getting some of it.
My bloodline and Nero did not take it all but had kept some for me, a quarter of the drop which had been safely stored into the bottle.
Through what I had experienced, I could tell this drop is extremly beneficial to the body and soul. If I had not reached my limit, I would have benefitted from it a lot, but unfortunately, I had reached my limit. Still, there is some faint hope, it is my bloodline that is absorbing it, and it tends to leave some crumbs for me.
Last time, it had been able to widen my veins to a huge degree, which should not have been possible seeing me reaching the limit, but it was able to do, maybe it might be able to do something like that this time too, I have some hopes.
It had bent the rules before, and it might do it this time too.
