Chapter 2302 - The Aura
"Traitors, it is very hard to discover them," Grandmaster Tantra said with a sigh looking at the two alchemical bombs inside Jameson and Mara.
The alchemical bomb inside Mana is an extremly bright yellow bulb, while the one inside Jameson is like a blazing red sun, containing enough power to vaporize us and the whole army. It seemed like the Grimms were really prepared to kill me; the powerful Grimm is still present in the clouds.
"We have been able to catch them alive this time; the people in Pyramid should be able to get some important information from them," Said the Grandmaster Oak; I nodded at that. While it is very hard to gather the intelligence from the Grimms, we have a slightly easier time in doing that with the humans.
"I have informed the Pyramid; they will soon come to collect her," I said and flew toward my fort with the army.
I hope Pyramid goes a little easy on Mara; she is a sleeper; her current personality has no idea of her being a traitor. The traitorous personality is hidden deep inside her and could only come out at the order of the Grimm Monsters.
Hun!
I was taking them with me when suddenly, I sensed something which couldn't help but light up my eyes, and a faint smile appeared on my face before it disappeared.
'Bastard, you have may send me on humiliating retreat, but I will not let you take them away from me,' I thought inside me. The bastard in the cloud had activated some kind of fail-safe in these two humans, activating the alchemical bomb from a distance, but how can I let it do that.
It had might have been some chance if I had discovered the seals immediately, but I have placed these seals on these two more than a week ago, and I have been very thorough about it.
Unless these humans have a kill switch coded into their genome, which helps them kill themselves even when all their energies are locked, these humans are going to be alive lest the bastard decides to attack.
I do not think it would unless I decided to go after those three, which I very much want to, but I love my life and would not take such a risk.
The gap between it and I narrowed a lot today, and it would narrow further when I practice my art. If I continued growing in such a way, it wouldn't take long for me to catch up to it, and that time, I would kill these bastards for all the time; it dared to stop me.
I could see its frustrations; it was barely able to keep its aura contained. If Grandmasters beside me concentrate on the spot where it is hiding, they might be able to detect faint fluctuation of the bastard's power.
"Take care, Micheal. These Grimm bastards have many cards in their hands than we could imagine," Grandmaster Oak said as our armies began to move toward their respective forts. "You to Grandmaster," I said back.
A few seconds later, all three armies moved toward their respective forts, and I became very careful. While I am pretty sure Grimm would not attack me, they tend to do the opposite sometimes, so I kept myself prepared.
The moment I sense something from it, I will bring out my shields at their full power. Though, being able to defend against its attack successfully would be a different matter altogether.
Fortunately, it did not attack. My army had safely entered the fort before I did. I directly went to the command center and briefed all the tyrants, most of them were looking at the sealed traitors, but nobody asked anything about them.
I had already told them what they needed to know about them.
As usual, I handed the command to Edvin and walked to the transportation hall. I had just received the command from the Pyramid to send the two traitors to the Pyramid through teleportation gates.
No difficulty occurred sending the two of them to the Pyramid, and I even received the confirmation message from the Pyramid about the delivery.
I went back to my quarters, and the only thing I wanted to do was sleep. I am extremly tired, even after consuming the bloodline essence of the two Tyrants; this tiredness had not elevated by much.
The spatial deconstruction and deconstruction have left a huge toll on my body and soul that can be only solved through the long rest, but I have no time to rest, at least not before I do that thing; otherwise, I would not get the calm sleep I need.
I directly went to the practice room and laid on the center of it before I went to my core and walked inside the forge mountain.
I threw a large number of resources in the furnace while at the same time eating a grape. A few seconds later, a wonderful feeling spread through my body and soul as the hammers begin to hit my phantom.
I usually take a rest before I practice my art, but now I do not. That Grimm Monster had not disappeared, instead it went to fort no. 4 of the Grimms, and till it is here, I could not take any chances; I need to be as strong as possible to survive if it had dared to attack me.
It took nearly two hours before I finally stopped, and when I did, there was a tremendous transformation of strength inside me.
With this strength I got from art, I have some confidence that I might be able to survive against it if I used everything I have. Which is enough for now, as Pyramid will not stay silent if I get attacked.
Hun!
With these thoughts in my mind, I walked out of the practice room and was about to take a step in the bathroom when I suddenly stopped in my tracks as I felt a strange but familiar aura that shook my very core.
'Abyssal Source!'
