Chapter 2967 Cry
"Angela, one of your council members has died; it won't be long before others start to die as well," said Rhaek, still standing in the same place as it had a few minutes ago.
Everyone had begun fighting except for them.
The battle is not going as he thought it would, more of its people are dying, but at least they are killing humans as they die, saving him some of the trouble when he kills them later.
"As I had said, people die in battle," she replied, without moving, even her expressions remaining neutral as she talked about the deaths.
"You are right, and it is time for you to die as well," he said with a sigh, "You two, kill her," he finally ordered the Blood Videttes behind him.
He is not going to fight; many humans have already begun their suicide charges, and he is confident he can handle anything this bitch could throw at him. He still does not want to take the risk.
As he ordered, the two blood videttes moved, and they moved with speed that even he would take it seriously.
Thankfully, they are in his complete control; one wrong gaze and he could make them drop dead on the ground.
Hun!
The blood vidette appeared next to her and launched their attack when she finally reacted; a powerful aura that he had never felt from her exploded as she moved to counter the attacks of two Blood Videttes.
'She was hiding her strength,' he thought; there was not the slightest surprise on his face. He knew she was hiding; even he had kept some of his strength hidden.
Hun!
It had been only a few seconds since the battle had begun when something happened that spoiled his mood.
'These fucking monsters!' he cursed as they killed another of his people, and the Grand Lord they killed was from the Golden Fire Werewolf tribe.
He was able to bear them killing Grimms because they were killing others, but now they had killed a member of his tribe, and this one was quite promising, able to reach the level of Grand Lord without bloodline.
It had only happened once in history, and that was over five thousand years ago; most people from his tribe who reached Grand Lords class have bloodlines.
The little monsters have crossed the limit of his tolerance, and they will pay a prince for that.
He immediately shot a few orders; now, let's see how those little bastards kill his men. He thought and turned to the battles in front of him.
…
Another loud horn rang out, bringing the death of humans to seven, though he could barely hear with all this pain.
The fire had reached its near peak, baking me from inside.
I was glad that the creamy mold I had prepared was holding back the worst dangers of fire which could turn me into ashes, but still, the fire had spread into every part of me, and if not for the method and herbal energies, it is releasing, I would have turned to the ashes by now.
Though, it is also doing what it is supposed to do, cleansing.
It brings out the slightest impurities I have, hidden so deeply that I barely see them. All of them are getting burned to ashes as they come out of my body.
Most importantly, above the limit substance is nearly burned, only 1% of it remains, and it is hard. The fire is burning it thoroughly, but it still resists the change occurring in it, but fire needs to be more powerful to burn it into the ashes.
Soon the fire will reach its peak, and this substance, sticking so hard, will be melted and excreted out of me before burning to ashes.
It is important that it is burned, not only because it is a very dangerous substance but also because it is blocking several important pathways of many cycles, and if I wanted to perform complicated moves, I want them gone.
Seconds passed, and with each second, the fire was burning brighter with greater power.
I am screaming, as there is no way I could bear this pain without it.
I don't know how long had passed, but the method had reached its final state; peaking, which is also called nirvana.
There is a reason why so many people have tried this method, not only Grand Lords but lower-level powerhouses.
Because successfully practicing this method make one reborn, like nirvana.
It is not just the cleansing it does but the potential it rouses; even those with no talent will find it easy to break through after they go through it.
The Pyramid had banned the method for everyone; even Grand Lord needed permission to get this method.
Though most of the old Grand Lords have it in their possession, I also have it; it is from the academy that only the leader of it could see it.
This is why I informed the pyramid about practicing the method, not asking for it.
It is a very popular method, and many books mention it; even those books are banned. People always get new books from the many ruins, not to mention desperate people always find the information they need if they try enough.
Hundreds of people have practiced this method through the thousands of years, but only one has been noted to have succeeded.
My predecessor, while everyone else before and after her, burned to death, including the Grand Lords.
The substance finally began melting, but I was not even looking at it; within seconds of the fire peaking, something I had feared had happened.
The fire had started to burn me.
Burn my body and soul; it had not done that before; it had inside me but had never burned me, but it did, and now I am screaming, but no word seemed to come out of me.
The pain is something I could never describe, but I knew this is how those people have felt when they are burned to death, especially those who used the most dangerous abyssal fire.
I screamed in silence and helplessness; there was nothing I could do to stop it.
The method could not be stopped, I would have used other things to stop, but it was a divine fire that burned me; everything I tried would burn to death, which is why I have not prepared for any contingency.
Still, there are a few things that could save me; two are the most important. Though, I don't know whether they will save me or not.
As it is a thing of my making, and they don't interfere with that.
So, I watched myself burn; I saw my skin burning and bones blacking, my soul shrinking as I felt the pain that threatened to break my mind.
I held on to that, as it was the only thing in this scenario I could control, and if I die, then I want to die as a sane person.
A minute had passed, and all the flesh on my body had burned, and all my bones had blacked; the fire had reached the sacred space of my soul and begun to burn it.
Cryy...
I truly thought I would die as the fire began to burn the most sacred space of my soul and accepted it, albeit unwillingly, when I heard a majestic cry inside me.
