"Odin, your assistant is really obnoxious," Valeria muttered under her breath. The whole way to the
human race's territory, Gloria had been talkative and she was always close to Rocky. But that was not
at the forefront of Valeria's mind. The strangest part was that Rocky had brought an apprentice
pharmacist with them, and she caught the assistant staring at her with meaningful eyes several times.
"Who is being obnoxious?" Gloria immediately snapped, spinning to face Valeria with fire blazing in her
eyes.
"Hey, don't be rude to Godly Genius Valeria," Rocky said to her under his breath, narrowing his eyes in
a warning.
Gloria curled her lips. If she didn't have to hide her true identity, she wouldn't have been so obedient.
"We should find a place to rest first and then we can make our plans." The others agreed silently. Then,
Rocky found a restaurant in the small city and ordered everyone some food and drinks.
Since Valeria and Gloria had never tried human food before, they stared curiously at their plates. Gloria
stabbed some food and held it up, examining it like it was poison.
"What is this? It smells strange, but it's so soft that it melts in my mouth the moment it touches my
tongue," Gloria asked, pointing at a plate of tofu on the table.
"This is tofu. It's a kind of food that humans often eat," Rocky replied.
"Humans have a strange taste in food,"
Valeria commented, scrunching her nose in disgust.
"Okay. I want you two to stay right here. Don't even walk around. I'm going to go and find out what our
situation is," Rocky instructed. Although the two women had disguised themselves, they still had the
mannerisms of people from the Shura Race, so Rocky was still worried that they would expose their
identities. Plus, Valeria hated disguising herself, so she had chosen to subtly hide her features.
Therefore, she still maintained her beauty. The veil on her face covered most of her, but her natural
beauty and charm was still exposed to all men she encountered.
After leaving the restaurant, Rocky strolled through the streets of the small city. He intended to gather
some information just by listening to the gossip of the residents. After spending several months in the
Shura Race, he didn't know much about the current situation of the human race and he wanted to know
as much as he could before taking any more steps forward.
It didn't take long for Rocky to learn everything he needed to know about the current situation in
Ethereal Region.
The war between the human race and the spiritual race had stopped a long time ago. However, the
chief of the Di Clan had been killed by Canaan, which had caused an uproar in the major forces of the
Ethereal Region.
The Di Clan had originally been the head of the Ethereal Region, and all the major forces were
attached to it. However, the death of the chief had pushed all the major forces into action.
Over the past few months, they had been jostling for supremacy.
Due to the solid foundation of the Di Clan, they were able to select a temporary chief very fast. It was
Colton, the commander in chief of the human race who had led soldiers to defeat the spiritual race.
Colton had taken a series of measures to stabilize the situation in the Ethereal Region and had
managed to reinstate some peace there.
However, some things still cropped up from time to time. For example, everyone heard that Canaan,
the young master of the Sky-suppressing Mansion, had killed the chief of the Di Clan and the Sky-
suppressing Mansion suffered. The Sovereign Sect saw that as an opportunity to poach talents from
the Sky-suppressing Sect, making the latter's strength decrease.
However, the Sky-suppressing Mansion had been working hard over the past few months. The
daughter of the chief of the Sky-suppressing Mansion, Lilith, had a magical encounter and her strength
had advanced tremendously. Now, she was the youngest female Spiritual Emperor in the Ethereal
Region and everyone knew it.
In order to gain people's trust, the chief of the Sky-suppressing Mansion had appointed his daughter as
the heiress because his son, Canaan, was nowhere to be found. That seemed to remedy the situation.
Most of the forces had calmed down and changed their minds.
Now that he got the picture, Rocky had a plan.
If they wanted to qualify for the competition without revealing themselves, they had to find a clan to
depend on. But the clan could not be weak; otherwise, they would attract too much attention. A strong
clan would keep them safe.
In the Ethereal Region, the most powerful one was Di Clan. If Di Clan were to send out some Spiritual
Emperors, no one would think that it was weird.
Rocky also had his eyes on the Di Clan because he already had a relationship with them. He believed
that he could go to them for help and they wouldn't question it.
Another reason that he wanted to get help from the Di Clan was to defeat the other Godly Geniuses
and to find an opportunity to alert the human race to the true ambitions of the Shura Race. In his mind,
this contest for Godly Geniuses was only the beginning. The Shura Race probably aimed to attack the
human race and the spiritual race.
And, of course, the Di Clan was the host of the Spiritual Emperor Contest. With their help, Rocky could
easily find the other six disguised Godly Geniuses.
After his mind was made up, Rocky returned to the restaurant. Upon entering the room, he saw that
Valeria and Gloria were surrounded by a small group of men that were dressed in expensive clothing.
He could tell that they had reached the Spirit Realm. Some of them even had the strength of the King
Realm. Judging from the badges on their clothing, they belonged to some noble sects.
"Lady, there's no need to be shy. Take off your veil and let our young master see your face," the leader
of the group said to Valeria.
Rocky glanced to the side and saw a handsome, young man sitting at a table, waving a feather fan and
staring at Valeria with a hungry look in his eyes.
Rocky guessed that the gentleman reigned from a noble family. He was doing a good job of hiding his
strength but Rocky sensed that he was not incompetent. In fact, he had the strength of a low-level
Spiritual Emperor.
"Get away from me!" Valeria yelled at the top of her lungs. Her eyes widened when the man didn't back
off.
"Do you know who our young master is? Settle down and come with us. Don't go causing trouble," the
man threatened.
"Your young master could be a cat or a dog for all I care. Get away from me, or I will hurt you!" Valeria
scolded.
"Beautiful, are you serious? Our young master is the nephew of the leader of the Sovereign Pavilion.
He is going to attend the Spiritual Emperor Contest. Everyone he meets respects him. You will make
him angry if you don't clean up your act right now," the man threatened, pointing an accusatory finger at
her.
"The Spiritual Emperor Contest?" Valeria glanced at the arrogant, young master who was sitting on one
side of the table.
"That's right. Our young master is strong so he will stand out from the competition. If you choose to
follow him, you will benefit in the future."
"Him? Ha! He is just a low-level Spiritual Emperor. What's the big deal?" Gloria muttered disdainfully.
"What was that? Are you courting death?" the man snapped, sizing her up.
