"How did the Ghost Fief's Godly Genius manage to develop his pillar of divine power in such a short
time?" The woman, intrigued by this, let out a playful smile as she looked at her crystal ball.
She saw a group of Shura Race members in the Ghost Fief's slum built a temple for their Godly
Genius. Inside it was a faceless statue which they worshiped and offered offerings to every day.
"I didn't expect that in less than a month, people would build a temple for him and worship him
devoutly. Such merits are the reason for the sudden increase of the pillar of divine power. It seems that
I did not choose the wrong person. How special!" the woman exclaimed with a grin etched on her face.
The next day, the square of the leader's mansion was once again overcrowded with people waiting for
the announcement of the progress of the pillars of divine power.
Rocky, who would rather spend his time elsewhere, was forced to come. As a Godly Genius, it was his
duty to do so. Otherwise, it would be simply disrespectful to the god who was about to announce the
results.
The air was tense with anticipation. After waiting for nearly two hours, a spear of red light suddenly
rained down the sky and was followed by a divine voice.
"I will announce the progress of each of the nine Godly Geniuses. From this moment on, I expect
nothing from our candidates than to do their best with the remaining time they have."
"One foot and three inches for the Godly Genius of the Primitive Fief."
The nine fiefs all snickered as their excitement and joy boiled over. No one in history had ever
managed to achieve such growth with their pillar of divine power in only a month.
The territory of the Primitive Fief also burst into a loud, triumphant cheer. They believed no one could
stand up to their Godly Genius.
The next Godly Geniuses only managed to grow their pillars of divine power by about eight inches to
one foot.
It was only when the result of the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief was announced that the audience
began to stir. It managed to reach a height of one foot and two inches, second only to that of the Godly
Genius of the Primitive Fief.
"I didn't expect the Godly Genius of the Flower Fief would be so talented. Good thing we agreed to let
her get engaged to our Godly Genius," Gilbert said with a sigh of relief.
"I wonder how the progress of our Godly Genius is."
"Alas! He must be the weakest of them all! Humph, I bet his pillar of divine power doesn't even reach
five inches!"
"A Godly Genius that spends his time treating the poor? If word of this goes out, he'll be a
laughingstock!"
The big shots of the Ghost Fief all threw their banter at Rocky.
"Next, I will announce the progress of the last Godly Genius's performance. The height of the pillar of
divine power of the Ghost Fief's Godly Genius is one foot," the godly voice announced.
People from the eight fiefs were all in shock. They couldn't believe what they heard.
"I didn't expect this unknown Godly Genius's pillar of divine power has reached one foot."
"Yes, I heard that he is a nobody!"
"It seems that the Ghost Fief can't be underestimated!"
Even the square in Gilbert's mansion was in uproar. No one, especially the elders and the officials,
expected Rocky to do well in only half a month.
"And another five inches should be added!" the voice from the heavens continued. In an instant, the
loud crowd suddenly fell silent. The members of the Shura Race had their mouths hanging wide open.
Dumbfounded, the leader of the Primitive Fief asked, "Exactly how tall is the pillar of divine power of
the Ghost Fief's Godly Genius?"
"It's one foot and five inches."
Everyone was in disbelief with what they just heard. They couldn't understand how five inches had just
been added to Rocky's pillar of divine power.
"But, why does his pillar of divine power have extra five more inches?" the leader of the Primitive Fief
asked again.
"Since he has saved so many people, they built a temple to worship him. Because of this, his pillar of
divine power has recently increased by five inches!"
"What?" It was the first time the Shura Race members of the nine fiefs heard of such a thing to happen.
"To cultivate the pillar of divine power, one should not only strengthen their body, but also cultivate their
mind and spirit. Acts of kindness that are from the heart can make one stronger, but such actions
cannot be faked. If the other eight Godly Geniuses were to copy what he did for the sake of growing
their pillar, five inches would be deducted from them."
The goddess immediately made the point clear to dispel any thoughts the other Godly Geniuses had to
copy Rocky.
"The next time the oracle is released will be three months from now. Meanwhile, I have a task for you
nine to complete in the meantime. The first who will successfully do so will be awarded a generous
reward from me."
A reward straight from the gods was nearly impossible to resist. And so, the Godly Geniuses were
eager to hear it.
"But first, I will announce the mission. Whoever can subdue the Nether Dragon King in the Nether Fire
Land within the next three months will win. But remember, you must do so without relying on the help of
others."
The crowd immediately buzzed with whispers of fear and doubt.
This was because the Nether Dragon King was a powerful diabolical beast at the Emperor Realm.
Even the strongest warriors at the Shura Realm didn't dare to face the beast. On top of that, finding its
location was already a dubious task, let alone killing it.
However, the reward for defeating it would be unmatched by any victory one could even imagine. Their
pillar of divine power would surely increase from such a feat.
The Godly Geniuses were itching to make a move, except for Rocky.
With that, the red light vanished from thin air. The elders and officials of the nine fiefs wasted no time
and immediately headed towards their respective meeting halls to discuss their strategies to defeat the
Nether Dragon King.
Of course, the Ghost Fief was no exception.
"Ha-ha! You made them all look like fools. I had a blast watching from afar." Gilbert let out a hearty
laugh as he sat down and looked at Rocky.
"Leader, are you relieved now?" Rocky asked with a faint smile.
"Yes, I am greatly relieved."
"Thank you. From now on, please don't interfere with my cultivation."
"Yes, I will keep my promise. But do you have any idea about the task released by the gods?" Gilbert,
being the frank man he was, went straight to the point.
"To be honest, I don't want to do it. The diabolical beast the gods want us to subdue must be very
powerful. Fighting it alone would be hard enough, but we also have to fight each other in the process. I
don't think it's worth it to get involved in such a mess." Rocky believed it would be more efficient to
practice his medicinal skills than to partake in such risks.
"I don't agree with you. I believe since it's a task issued personally by the gods, you must go all out." An
elder immediately raised an objection.
"Yes, the task itself is a process of training." Some elders and officials echoed.
"But the boy has a point. The Nether Fire Land is filled with all kind of dangerous devils. Blindly
charging into such a place with little to no assistance might cost the life of our Godly Genius. It is simply
not worth the risk. " Some agreed with Rocky's sentiments.
Before long, the elders and officials present were divided into two groups: those who wanted Rocky to
do the task and those who opposed it.
