"Yes, human beings do not have sufficient strength to fight Alston. Although we have the support of the
Dragon Master Clan and the Butterfly Divine Clan, these two clans' power is inadequate to match the
joint forces of the three clans led by Alston, the Heavenly Demon Clan, the Ghost Master Clan, and the
Giants Clan. The Phoenix Master Clan and the Wood Clan are probably still mad at me because of
what happened last time. Besides, if they consider the Divine Spiritual Source, they can't possibly fight
for me. Given everything that has happened, you may have to lay low for a while. It would be a wise
idea to rest, regain your power, and avoid a confrontation with Alston. When the time is right, you can
fight him to the death..." Rocky said seriously.
"What about you? You won't return with us, will you?" Marcia asked as if she had seen through Rocky.
"With me by your side, things will only become more complicated and troublesome. Besides, some
things I have to face alone. Most importantly, I will leave you sooner or later, so I don't want to hurt you
anymore..." Rocky replied with a helpless sigh.
"What do you mean? What on earth are you hiding from me?" Marcia frowned. The combined feelings
of curiosity and suspicion left her uneasy.
"Even if I explain, there's nothing we can do to change it. Some things are destined." Rocky lowered
his gaze and shook his head. He appeared defeated, which only served to unsettle Marcia further.
"I won't let you out of my sight unless you tell me," came Marcia's serious reply.
"Why are you doing this?" Rocky's brows knitted tightly as he failed to understand why she was
pressing him so much.
"Will you tell me or not?" Marcia persisted as she stared at him with her beautiful eyes.
Aware that he would not win this battle, and comforted by the knowledge that Marcia was a woman of
her word, Rocky decided to tell her. On some level, he hoped that after learning the truth, Marcia would
give up.
"What did you say? You are not Basil..." Astonishment and disbelief glimmered in Marcia's beautiful
eyes.
"Yes, my soul doesn't belong to this world. It entered this world by accident. Once my soul attached
itself to Basil's body, his soul fell asleep."
"But what did you mean when you said that you would leave sooner or later?" Marcia couldn't help but
ask.
"I had overused my power. As a result, my soul was damaged and incomplete. My soul may disappear
at any time..." Rocky shifted uncomfortably as he explained. "Your father told me about it."
"Is that what my father said to you before he died?" It never occurred to Marcia that her father already
knew that Rocky's soul did not belong to this world and even became incomplete.
Rocky nodded.
"I don't understand. Since you know all this, why do you still work so hard?" Marcia was both angry and
distressed. The thought of separating from him left her stomach in knots. Equally, learning that he had
hidden something so important from her stirred her temper.
"Because this is my fate." Rocky sneered. Of course, he did not tell Marcia the truth that even without
any damage, his soul would disappear sooner or later as it did not belong to this world.
"If I were stronger, you wouldn't have to suffer all this." Guilt surged within Marcia's heart, and her eyes
glimmered with unshed tears. It was not until now that she realized that the burden Rocky carried was
beyond her imagination.
"Don't worry about me. Just do what you need to. It's good to be able to tell you all this finally. But,
please, don't tell the others, especially Lena and Isis..." Rocky and Marcia glanced at each other.
Concern reflected in Rocky's expression for a split second before it returned to his typical cold
expression.
"I see." Marcia was rendered speechless. She instinctively knew that Rocky hadn't told her everything.
But, she didn't press him as her mind was in a mess at the moment.
Then, the two returned to the crowd.
"By the way, Basil, I have something for you." When Sabina saw that Rocky and Marcia had returned,
she suddenly remembered something. She brought out a palm-sized Spiritual Weapon with
bloodstains.
"The three of us have searched everywhere that the descendants of the Thunder Master Clan might
live, but we still haven't found traces of them. Nor can we find any information about the whereabouts
of the clan's legendary guardian beast. However, we found this Spiritual Weapon in the clan's ruins.
The blood on this Spiritual Weapon likely belongs to the clan's legendary guardian beast. I don't know if
this would be of help to you..." Sabina explained as she gave the weapon to Rocky.
"If the blood on it belongs to the legendary guardian beast of the Thunder Master Clan, then you have
completed your task. The rest is my business." Rocky nodded thoughtfully as he studied the Spiritual
Weapon in his hand. If the blood on the weapon was indeed the blood of the legendary guardian beast,
then he could use it to extract the beast's blood essence.
"Matriarch Cherry, has the reincarnation egg of the Nether Butterfly Queen hatched?" Rocky asked
Cherry after putting away the Spiritual Weapon. Surprisingly enough, she had been silent all this while.
"Not yet." Cherry shook her head.
Rocky nodded in understanding before glancing around and saying, "I should go now. Take care of
yourselves!" He walked away without giving the women a chance to protest. He was so upset that he
was unable to bring himself to turn and glance at the women. The women steeled themselves, and
forcefully held back their tears as they looked at his retreating figure.
"You've got the map of the Spirit Annihilation Land. Not only is the timing perfect, but the land is also a
good place for you to cultivate. With your current strength, even if you get the other half of the Divine
Spiritual Source, it will be difficult to integrate the complete Divine Spiritual Source. Therefore, you
have to improve your power of the King Realm as soon as possible." The voice of the Dragon-shaped
Soul Beast sounded in Rocky's mind.
"Are you instructing me to cultivate in the Spirit Annihilation Land? Isn't that where the race stronger
than the spiritual race once lived?" Rocky asked solemnly. As he had heard about the secrets of the
spiritual race from Cherry, he was aware that the spiritual race was most afraid of humans getting the
power of the forbidden items in the Spirit Annihilation Land.
"That's right. Only that place can bring your power of the King Realm to a higher level," the Dragon-
shaped Soul Beast replied.
"You already knew the location of the Spirit Annihilation Land, didn't you? Why didn't you send me
there until I got the map?" Rocky asked as doubt coursed through him.
"After the powerful race was destroyed, the spiritual race sealed their base. Although I know of its
location, I have to know the seal's weakness if I want to enter. The leaders of the different clans of the
spiritual race who removed forbidden items from the land are aware of the weakness of the seal. It's
the only way for them to enter as well. The map in your possession will help you to find the seal's
weakness," the Dragon-shaped Soul Beast explained.
"Then, let's go!" Rocky replied before he turned into a black light and
disappeared.
