Chapter 940: Fetal Nourishment for Shen Yunya
When the physician was done with the checking, Shen Yunya asked anxiously with a paled face, “Physician, how’s the baby?”
Nothing must happen to this child she had with Big Brother Jin, otherwise, she would fight it out with Feng Tianlan.
“Rest assured, milady. Your womb has been disturbed which has caused internal bleeding. There are signs of a miscarriage. From today onward, do remember to not use Spiritual Force. Should you remain in bed for a month, you will certainly be able to give birth to a young prince safely,” the physician crossed his hands and said in a deep voice.
After listening to the physician’s words, only then did Shen Yunya’s dangling heart completely relaxed. Her entire body was drenched in a layer of fine sweat.
Xi Jin’s personal bodyguard beside him told him something which contents was not known. He glanced at the calm and collected Feng Tianlan, then nodded his head gently.
Swiftly, a palace maid came forward with a bowl of medical soup. Xi Jin reached out to take it and sat down by the bed. With gentle eyes, he looked at her with worry, “Snow rabbits has the effect of replenishing qi and blood. I specially asked someone to brew it. Drink it while it’s hot,”
The palace maid held Shen Yunya up and let her lean by the bed. Watching Xi Jin ladling the soup, a blissful smile appeared on her face. She opened her mouth slightly, drinking the soup, “Big Brother Jin, you’re such a nice person.”
She thought that her Big Brother Jin would be angry with her after hearing all those words. But from the looks of it now, he does not seem angry. On the contrary, he was very gentle with her and had even gone to extents as to feed her personally. This must be because he liked her. Besides, the child all had credits as well.
Hence, being able to have Big Brother Jin’s child was literally the most blissful thing in this world.
Xi Jin only raised his lips and smiled. Calmly scooping up a piece of meat, he said, “Have some meat. It’s good for the child.”
Shen Yunya hummed softly, opened her lips, and ate the tiny piece of meat. She knitted her brows slightly. Why was the taste of the snow rabbit meat different from before?
“Is it not nice?” Xi Jin put down the spoon and frowned slightly. He was not looking too good. No one could tell if he was angry or worried about her.
Looking at Xi Jin’s expression, Shen Yunya swallowed the meat, “No, it’s delicious.”
Anything fed by Big Brother Jin would taste good.
Xi Jin put the bowl in her hand, “Then finish it. It’s good for the child.”
Shen Yunya raised her eyes and carefully looked at Xi Jin. She discovered that his face was a little gloomy, seeming due to anger. She was in the wrong. He came to feed her himself, but she frowned in return. She must have provoked him. Does he think that she was belittling his efforts?
No matter what the meat tasted like, as long as Big Brother Jin would not be angry, she had to eat it no matter no bad it was. Besides, snow rabbits were a rare catch, and it truly was beneficial to the fetus.
Hence, Shen Yunya quietly held the bowl and ate unhurriedly, leaving not even a piece of meat and not even a drop of soup.
Watching from the side, Feng Tianlan felt a little nauseous. Raising her head to glance at Xi Jin, she let out a long sigh inwardly. Everyone had their own way of living, that was what it was.
After confirming that Shen Yunya was fine, the empress heaved a sigh of relief. She went out of the hall and told the ladies to safeguard some of the secrets at night. It was after delivering a series of exhortations that she allowed them to exit the palace.
“Dai’er.” The empress looked at Feng Tianlan who was standing at the side indifferently as if she was not of this world.
Feng Tianlan nodded slightly. She was very polite to her, “Your Majesty.”
Because of the good bond between her and Sister Lin, the former empress treated her very well.
“I wish you can do me a favor. Solve your private affairs after she gives birth. Do you think you can do it?” the empress questioned Feng Tianlan instead of ordering her directly.
As the empress, she could guess a fraction of the truth to some things without having to investigate them. It was just about whether evidence would be left behind.
