Chapter 371: Like and Dislike
When their eyes met, hers were so beautiful that they moved his heart.
Feng Tianlan felt that Si Mobai’s affectionate, almond-shaped eyes seemed to possess magical abilities. They were deeply magnetizing to her, and she could not look away or move her body.
Gradually, a romantic atmosphere filled the air.
“You’re awake!” Feng Tianlan quickly emerged from under the spell of those almond-shaped eyes, and her drowsiness also passed. She sat up straight, shook her arms, which were numb from lying down, and stood up to pour some water.
She was suddenly slightly nervous without knowing why. She could not help but move her hands to touch that spot on her face, where she used to have a scar. Now that her face was flawless, would he think that she was pretty? Would he recognize her?
Because she was nervous, Feng Tianlan carried the water and did not dare to turn around.
Si Mobai partially sat up and leaned against the bed. He saw that Feng Tianlan was standing still and called out anxiously to her, “Lan’er.”
Feng Tianlan tightened her grip, pursed her lips, and turned around. As naturally as she could, she walked toward him.
Si Mobai raised his eyes to look at Feng Tianlanslowly coming toward him. In the dim candlelight, her thin waist and delicate face had the power to stop a man’s blood flowing and cause his heart to skip a beat.
Beautiful! So beautiful!
Nothing in this world compared to her!
Now that Lan’er had regained her looks, she was so beautiful. He could not take his eyes off her, and he wanted to hide her away from others so that he could be the only one who could look at her.
Feng Tianlan’s face flushed hotly under Si Mobai’s scorching, passionate gaze. She handed him the water and said, “You just woke up. Drink some water first, then I will ask someone to fetch you some porridge.”
“Lan’er, how did you regain your looks?” Si Mobai quickly gathered himself after seeing how stunning Feng Tianlan was. Staring at that face, which could stop him from breathing with just one glance, he could not help wishing that he could find her old scar and paste it back onto her face.
“You don’t like it?” Only after asking the question did Feng Tianlan realize that her words could be easily misunderstood. She quickly put down the cup of water, intending to escape.
Si Mobai stretched out his hands to grab Feng Tianlan and pulled her closer to him. “No,” he said. “I love it. No matter how you look, I will always like it.”
Feng Tianlan allowed herself to be pulled into a seated position at his bedside. Listening to his words, her face became even warmer, but she still did not know what to say.
“You already looked fantastic before anyway, so what made you want to regain your looks?” Si Mobai lifted his eyes and looked at Feng Tianlan, who lowered her head in shyness. Suddenly, he thought of something and felt somewhat elated. “Is it because of me?”
Previously, although Tianlan’s face was scarred, he had not felt that she was ugly. Instead, he’d thought that the scar added to her heroic spirit. Now that the scar was gone, she was stunning like a fairy. Regardless of which version of herself she showed to the world, he loved them all.
Selfishly, he even preferred her with the scar because no one else had been able to see how amazing she was. She’d belonged to him alone.
Straightaway, Feng Tianlan denied it, “No.”
The joyful smile on Si Mobai’s face instantly vanished. Only disappointment remained.
“You did not eat for days while you were unconscious. I will bring you some porridge.” Feng Tianlan was afraid to face Si Mobai. She was red from embarrassment, and she quickly ran away.
Si Mobai leaned against the bed. Looking at Feng Tianlan’s back, he commanded, “Come out.”
At the sound of his voice, a dark figured flashed into the room and fell to the floor on one knee. “Master.”
“Tell me what has happened these last few days.”
The dark shadow answered, “yes,” and was about to continue, but Si Mobai coldly demanded, “When I was unconscious, did Her Highness take care of me? Was she by my side?”
He did not dare to ask too much. He was afraid that the answers would disappoint him.
